[Q] screen wake. Says charging when its not - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Hello, I have the sprint galaxy nexus and the screen keeps turning itself on saying its charging when its not plugged in. I'll turn the screen off and a few seconds later it turns itself back on. I've tried switching ROMs and it is still doing it

Extremely well known issue where the USB connector is not functioning properly, and so it thinks its being plugged into a charger.

Explains that lol. Is there a fix to this?

You can try cleaning the USB port. If that doesn't work, I'd say your options are either try to fix it yourself by tweaking the pins OR claim warranty.

Happens to me as well. Especially when I try entering the pattern unlock. It keeps registering as the wrong pattern
I believe its an issue with the samsumg charging brick. Try a different one. There are some other threads about it.

Weird screen.

Okay so I left my phone over night and I didn't touch it with a 75% charge. I wake up an it's 74% which I find normal. But what I found weird is whenever I connect it to the charger or USB, this screen come up for no reason. And the LED light stays on. Do anynof you know how to solve this issue?
Picture taken on stock EL29.
Edit: LED Still stays on after I remove it from the wall outlet.

That's the dock screen. Do you have it plugged up to a dock?

No not really, I just press the home screen, unplugged, and it shows up for no reason.

Maybe your charging port is a bit dirty. When its dirty it sometimes tricks the phone into showing the dock screen when you plug in a charger. Maybe you just have to clean it.

Any tips on how to? Without having the chance to ruin the charging port?

I just use a keyboard cleaner just to blow out any dust that's in the port. That's about it.

Check where the usb cable plugs in. Mine was doing the same thing and I realized the middle portion of the usb connector on my phone was touching the bottom. It thought it was charging/over voltage when it really wasn't plugged in. I just used a little screwdriver to bend in back to the middle.

Do you have another charger to try ? My friend fixed his "high voltage" issue replacing charger.
I waited until the battery died to plug it with another charger and I think the USB connection was almost or maybe it was touching the low part(the hole where the cable is plugged).Lets see what happen next! Thanks for you advice!

Galaxy nexus issues turning on

so i had a gnex with a busted usb port. i was using my moms gnex battery in the meantime to send a few important tests before i went off the air, and then i got a HTC One (which is awesome btw) to replace it, but when i got the usb pcb to replace the busted one, i replaced it all and triple checked all connections before putting phone back together.
Basically the problem is this. power button wont do anything. the battery i have i know has a 50% charge on it. I tried the pull battery put in usb put in battery trick and that gets me to the charging logo for about 15 seconds and then the phone turns off.
Do i have a bricked phone?
any ideas?
Power button with up/down volume held in??? Anything?
