I got my new note2 today I would like to share root file with you
first thanks to Chenglu for the CWM recovery and chainfire for the SuperSU
so.. all what you have to do is to flash the Chenglu by Odin v.3 or +
and then flash my file via recovery and enjoy

What about flash counter ? will it increase flash counter ?
Do you have a copy of the build.prop file? I kind of fxxk it up and I forgot to backup the file.

Hi guys, I just flashed the stock Rogers jelly bean ROM onto my brothers S3. Now I want to root it. I'm having some trouble finding the proper SuperUser zip file I can use to flash on to the phone. I ended up using the CF Root the previous user had suggested. Thank you very much for the link, maybe it will benefit somebody else is the same position as me.

I'm not sure why it would say that, but the firmware in this thread is the same build, MDL, as the update. If you flashed it you are updated.

Atmazzz have you been able to flash this and see if flashing OUDHS Recovery or TWRP Recovery works with ODIN?
I don't know why it wouldn't but someone to verify it would be nice. haha

Not yet. I downloaded the firmware this morning and then had to go to work. It will be about 2 more hours and then I'll install it and Odin TWRP to see if I can get it to root.
This is stock unmodified firmware - use ODIN , not some modifed recovery

Not at all. You can flash the previous firmware and ROM's built upon it with no problem. As well you can still flash Cyanogenmod.

Its prerooted Firmware , so you could download it and follow it
but you could use CF Auto root method .

but before you do that @ Dr.Ketan is available please PM him he will tell if its this root method is compatible or not ,
Make sure you do EFS backup.

I think there is no special forum by CF for N7102
But if you have samsung N7102 (china) then i have found this file from CF auto root central

You can flash it if your device is same as i said above. Though i highly recommend to find stock ROM before testing it, so you can return to stock if anything goes wrong.
Do it at your own responsibility, I have no any inputs regarding this.

I think your device may not be samsung n7102 but Chinese clone. No support for that you may find in that case.

Yes its a clone of a note 2, thats why its so hard to root that phone...

How to use this firmware with Odin?
I'm far from being well-versed in Android development, etc., but I have successfully flashed a couple of Samsung Galaxy devices using Odin and a firmware file. However, I can't seem to figure out a way to use the files I downloaded via this thread. I got both the "STOCK" and the "STOCK-deodexed-rooted" .ZIP files. When I extract the contents of the ZIP, I don't find any files of the kind that Odin is looking for (*.tar, *.md5, *.smd, etc.)
What am I missing? Can someone help me understand how to use these files I've downloaded with Odin to flash the firmware of this tablet? I recently flashed a Note 3 using Odin, but the firmware I found for it came in a file with a .tar.md5 extension, and Odin let me select it and knew just what to do with it.

I have access to a Samsung service server.. I can get any USA firmware etc... this is 100% official and to @mholloway yes it will work on boost s6

Edit: Odin is failing for my OL1 which used to work as well. I wiped system by mistake so maybe that has something to do with it? I just cant get anything to flash through odin. Gonna research but any info would be appreciated.

make sure you are using odin 3.10.6 or higher and that re-partition is unchecked.

Does this need to be extracted or just flashed through odin? Im currently rooted and can not take the ota because of that. If i can just odin this and start over thats fine with me. Thanks
