Hi guys, I just flashed the stock Rogers jelly bean ROM onto my brothers S3. Now I want to root it. I'm having some trouble finding the proper SuperUser zip file I can use to flash on to the phone. Can someone please point me in the right direction to where I can download it? I'm running the stock Rogers Android Jelly Bean 4.1 .1. Thanks guys!

Just use CF-Root and flash it with Odin in PDA.
Quick and easy....very easy.

Looks like it's kind of hard to find the stock ROM downloads on this forum, so I decided to reupload it for the convenience of everyone and me. Are you stuck and need to start over fresh? Returning the phone to manufacturer/mobile service provider? Selling your phone and need original firmware? You are at the right thread. These are for Odin, not for CWM or other recoveries. Most of these are .zip/.rar file extension and if you need help extracting those get WinRAR. If your download is asking for a password, you can find it below in this post. Order is as follows: top is newest, bottom is oldest. You can also find stock ROMS on these websites:

They're .rar files so I'm assuming Odin. Downloading right now to see what's in it...

I think you meant to say "OTA to LH9". I'd also mention that LH9 includes an annoying script that re-installs stock recovery on reboot, so if you plan to root and use a custom recovery like cwm or twrp, make sure you flash the remove-ota-recovery.zip file located here the first time you boot into custom recovery on LH9 so the annoying stock recovery doesn't keep coming back.

I had same issue you are having. Finally I just did the stock odexed rooted rom with mc2. It worked perfectly. If you need link let me know. It doesn't update the kernel but I think the current kernel is up to date. If not it's easy to get a zip file.

It is? I have tried flashing the zip file posted to update JUST the kernel since I already flashed the modem and I am still on the AMA7 kernel. Where is the MC2 kernel zip?

I think what you mean is the build. The modem shows mc2 but your build is ma7. The kernel does not have mc2 or ma7 in it. You'll need to do the full rom update which will still keep your data and since your modem and kernel are up to date you'll be all set.Did it last night and it worked perfectly. Just in case, post a screenshot of your about screen.

Hello,
I tried looking thru the forum to find my answer but I couldn't find anything regarding rooting my Galaxy Note 2 build JZ054K.I317UCAMC3
So when I run the Galaxy Note2 Toolkit V4.1.0
I get to the part that ask you to find your device build and carrier I get only 2 options under the AT&T Carrier.
51. Android 4.1.1 Build ALJ2
52. Android 4.1.2 Build ALK7
Which one do I select since they don't match my build?
Here are the details to my phone.
Samsung Galaxy note 2
Model: SGH-I317
Android Version: 4.1.2
Build:JZ054K.I317UCAMC3
Hope someone has encountered this problem and can answer my question.
Thank in advance!

Are you rooted? You can download goo manager from play store....and I think its update or something you click and it will ask if you want to update recovery. I don't have it installed ATM....but its something like that.
Not sure if root is required.

Search the general Note 3 thread for CF-Autoroot. Use the version for the N9005. Yes! not the N900T. Apply using ODIN.

Hey Bobbyphoenix, Glad I could help.
I guess it has not caught up with kitkat for our phone as yet. the N9005 kitkat has been around for some time. I am sure the N900T willl be updated now that the kitkat files are available, but for the time being it is not working.
