I didn't root her or anything. Is there a program to return to stock and erase all data? I am not new to rooting and the pic above is what happens when i get to the recovery screen.
There is a bricked thread further down... thinking you haven't quite bricked it yet... may just need to reflash recovery but read the thread before you do anything cause I have not run into that yet...

If I understood correctly he never rooted which means never installed the a200 bootloader which means he can't flash recovery.
Best I can suggest is the method of placing an Acer legit ROM named update.zip on the root of external SD, then boot holding volume down and hope it works.
Edit: did you try a hard reset?
Iirc power on holding volume down and once the vibrate happens toggle the lock switch and it'll reset for you. Keep holding volume down while toggling the switch.

I tried what you said about 4 times. it doesnt seem to respond to what u say. And you read my post correctly, I havent rooted or done anything to this tablet and it baffles me that it wont start up normally and appears to be soft bricked. 2 out of the 50 times i was able to get some sort of cwm screen and it would let me go up and down but it wouldnt let me select my choice. i am really having a hard time right now
I have update on my sd card and is in the tab, this is what happens when i hold volume down and power. makes 3 screens....
Did you do the hard reset too?
Also, the brick issue doesn't require being modded, it happens even on stock.

So I dropped my Epic face down on the sidewalk yesterday and cracked the screen badly. The phone still seems to boot but is non-responsive to touch so I cant get past the lockscreen. I can also boot into CWM but can only see the bottom corner of the menu as the upper left quadrant of the screen is totally out.
My question is - can I somehow run a backup without access to the touchscreen? Either through Titanium or (even better) in CWM? FYI, I have adb installed on my laptop and have used it before with the phone but have VERY limited knowledge of how to use it. I am however, willing to learn.
If someone could even point me in the right direction I would be hugely appreciative.
Since you don't use the touchscreen to make a CWM backup it is completely within your abilities to do so.
I couldn't find a picture of the purple clockwork so you'd be able to have a bit of an idea where each item is without being able to see it, but this might help.

Thanks ! I think you're right that I COULD get it to work that way, but I would need more info. First, I am running the Bonsai version of recovery and so would need steps specific to that version. Second, I don't know what is on the following screens so would not know what to do next. If someone could tell me step by step like: press down volume 4 times, hit camera button, press down twice, etc etc... then maybe I could get it o work that way.

I don't have bonsai recovery and I'm not sure how many people here use it compared to the more universal clockworkmod recovery, you might want to head over to the bonsai forums and ask for step-by-step directions.

I responded to you on the Bonsai site but in case you read it here first it is Volume down 5 times and camera button twice.

Thanks Kenny. Did it but I don't think it worked. Oh well.
FYI, I think the problem is my phone now, not the instructions. I don't think I am even getting into recovery anymore...
Whenever I try to boot up my Desire Z, it would show me the HTC logo, but shut off promptly. I'd be able to enter the bootloader, but whenever I try entering recovery, I get this:

Is my phone bricked?
I'm not sure what was done previously, as I bought this phone second hand, so I'm wondering if there's anything I can do to rectify the problem.
Sounds like a soft brick, at the worst. You can fix it. Look up loading a rom from bootloader dezire z. Maybe you can put the new update on the sd card. You will lose root though, which you probably have if the got you stuck on that screen.

Try looking up about the triangle, also. There might be some buttons you can press etc.

At the triangle screen you show, hold down volume for a second or 2 then press and hold power. See if that doesn't take you to the text-based recovery screen (stock is blue text?).
PS - sounds like no rom and/or radio is flashed, that or someone tried to reroot and stockify it but bricked it as you describe. I'm inclined to believe it's been wiped clean. What's the bootloader show for your hboot, radio versions etc?
Ah, I was able to get it into the 3e recovery with the blue text, but unfortunately I can't do anything there.
I think I have another problem now, though. The battery won't charge. If I plug it in, it'll flash an orange and green LED, and from what I've been able to gather online, that means there's something wrong with the battery connection or overheating? It's not the latter, so I'm going to assume there's something wrong with the pins. The warranty sticker has been broken as well, so I think I think I'm SOL.
Thanks for the help anyway, guys!
Hello all !!
I had a little problem with my phone. Somebody hit my pocket and I have broken screen. I think it's completely broken, screen is black, no touch response, nothing, zero, null
Phone is visible via adb and I successfully downloaded all my personal data from phone memory to my pc.
I want to sell this phone, but first I need to clear phone memory (my apps, my setting, my photos), because I can pay and repair it in Samsung Poland and keep my warranty.
Phone is rooted, has custom rom and pattern lock. I know how to flash stock rom via Odin, but it doesn't help me with binary counter.
What can I do? Need to make factory reset (I don't want pattern lock anymore), make counter reset (from 1 to 0) and unroot (is it possible via Odin)?
Thank you guys a lot for your help
There's picture of my phone

Hi, hmm..
If you reflash your stock ROM you'll wipe the data.. so best way is to reflash the stock ROM and thats how u unroot too. But not sure how for resetting counter with no screen.

Yes it will. Flashing a stock ROM will delete everything, phone becomes fresh and new.nothing inside it.
Flash the ROM via Odin 3. I know ur screen is broken but u can still get to download mode, press volume down+power button+home buttons at the same time. And keep pressing them for like 5 to 8 seconds, and then press volume up to proceed. THEN u can flash the firmware through odin 3.
Give a thanks button if i helped please.

Any idea how to reset binary counter? I can't use Triangle Away because of broken screen.
Samsung G NT7100
My N7100 has a broken screen but the LCD is okay i see everything only problem is i cannot access anything in my phone even the swipe to unlock option on the screen is not working. I need help.
I have a very serious problem. I've managed to brick my device. I decided I wanted to install CM 10.2 on my E988 (Taiwan version) but it didn't work. I rooted, installed freegee and also had cwm. I put the files on my sd card and then formated data, cache and dalvik cache. When I tried to install from sd card it said can't partition non-vfat. So i decided then that I would push the files using adb to my devices internal storage. I managed to do this but when I did it said installation aborted. It didn't have anything else in the log. At the moment I can access cwm but I can't seem to do anything with it. I can also charge my device but the charging image is missing.
When I try to access download mode it comes up with the factory hard reset screen which does nothing.I am at the moment downloading the stock image kdz file but I don't think I'll be able to do anything with it.
When I boot up my phone it still says that freegee is installed.
I got the CM rom from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2439827
On that thread it says that you need to remove the first four lines of text in the updater-script file. However, in notepad, it depends on how big your window is to how much four lines of text is. Further into the thread, a user asked how much was actually meant to be removed and someone replied with all the way up to 'mount'.

Try, Remove battery and put again your device, hold Volume "-" and Home button and Power button, after display confirm put power button 3 time.
It's OK. It turns out that to get into download mode you don't have to press the power and volume buttons, you just have to press both the volume buttons and then plug in the USB

Sorry, that my guide to hard reset device.
Can someone help me get into recovery mode on my Verizon G4? I want to clear the cache.
I have read to turn it off, then press & hold Power and Volume Down, until the LG logo appears. Then release only Power, then press & hold Power again, until the recovery screen appears. And I'd swear I'd gotten in this way on a previous Verizon G4.
But I can't get it to work on this phone. Either on software 610B, or having just upgraded to 611A. It either just boots up normally, or if I keep holding Power, it seems to just reboot again.
What am I doing wrong? Sorry for the basic question, but I've tried it a bunch of times, with no success.

It's probably the same as the g3. I would just hold volume down and power until the stock recovery popped up. Not letting off at all.
That did it, thank you! That was easy. And this was different than what I had read elsewhere.

I originally read the way you described first for my g3. So you can only go with the info given. I just happen to figure out just holding them works best. If you have root access just get quick boot from the play store. Makes it easy to get into custom recovery.

Easiest way is to go to: Settings>Storage>Click on "Cached data">YES.
