My phone is not rooted.
I'm getting weird problem while using 2g Net.
Whenever my phone is connected to WiFi and later as i switch off my WiFi my phone goes to 2g. But it just shows "E" edge sign but net on doesn't work. I have to switch off, remove sim re-insert and then only it will work. I have to do it everytime after switching off WiFi .
Sometime my net stops working even if i nevr use WiFi. Edge net works and then after few hours it just shows the "E" sign..

Hi,
Recently my 3G simply dropped out. I have no idea how it did, however I have not been able to fix it.
After trying to reset the APN settings, change the preferred network type and to reset the radio. No luck.
the H+ / 3G icon just does not appear. Calls and texts still work.
Any other ideas?

try to change to 2G network and see. if "E"-edge appears then problem is with your network. Also just check if you have "Data Enabled" in case you have forgotten to turn it on
Hello all,
Tried searching for this but couldn't find anything. I just flashed to CM9 but I can't figure out how to connect to WiFi. I have WiFi turned on but no pop ups for networks found.

Menu->System Settings. Wifi should be the top option. Give it a touch, select your desired network, and it should be similar to the pop up from there
I walk on toilet paper cuz I'm the s###!
nope didnt work.
the wifi option is on like i said but no network popup comes up like on the official releases. is there a manual network search button for CM9?

I was having this problem for the first day or two. I simply turned off mobile data for awhile and then turned it back on a few hours later and it only pops up now when receiving or sending an MMS (or when I leave the wifi signal, of course). Not sure if that's the fix or just a fluke.

This is across all phones I've used from time to time nothing to be concerned about it'll go away with time with no action on your behalf.

I figured out that its verizon's stupid CallerID app. It needs mobile data on to analyze incoming calls. It's not used, but its on. I disabled callerID and its not there anymore
I also thought it was the CallerID app and disabled it. However the issue re-occurs whenever I open the My Verizon Mobile app to work with my account. I tested it though by streaming some music for a while then checking my phones data usage in settings and it's not actually using mobile data.
My uncle's did the same thing when using Facebook app and then turning on wifi. Haven't had a chance to test his yet, but I'm pretty sure it's the same issue. Still, it's an annoying problem, especially when you get phone calls from the fam wondering why their phone's using 4g when on wifi
When my 4G won't turn off I just restart the phone and it does the trick. Doesn't happen very often for me though.

I am running my T-Mobile Note 3 on ATT. I have noticed whenever I switch from LTE to 4G that it shows no bars even though I know I actually have 3-4 bars of connectivity. Any ideas as to why this would be? Maybe something in settings?

I have also noticed that whenever I make a phone call, the status bars will switch to showing 4G icon only (from 4G LTE icon) and again show zero bars even though I obviously have a good connection and have no issues with the phone call. It must be some software bug.
This is on a rooted device with stock ROM by the way.

I just got fed up and switched my N900T to GSM mode only when home. More bars ( full ) and better battery life.
Ok I got it figured out. I had a setting checked off on Wanam that I shouldn't have and this was causing no bars to show when on 4G and edge. Unchecking took care of the problem.

The below screen shot shows approx 8 hours is this 8 hours since phone was removed from charger ? I think so just want to confirm.
Also the gap in network signal. I am assuming this means at some point for a certain amount of time my phone didn't have a signal ? If true this would be most odd as I have a cel fi signal booster in my home.
Thanks.

Yes you are correct the phone was on battery power and the signal was lost in the gap. Was it put in airplane mode. That would disconnect the mobile signal

No wi fi calling always off. Phone was also never put in airplane mode. So basically looks like my radio turns off sometimes.

There is another thread somewhere with people complaining about this happening to them, too. It happens to me, I think its a reporting bug in kitkat, mine shows big gaps too, but never has it not been connected to a tower.
