Try to use another sms app like GoSms.. you can change themes and custom ringtones for sms so you can have mp3 file for ringtones
GT-I8150 CM 9 BeTA 1

changing the ringtone is easy just copy the mp3 file to system/media/audio/notification/ paste it there then reboot so you can see the mp3 file and can choose for ringingtone but for the background i think we can i dont know only then exact folder

love google...did a search i extracted the mms.apk from the theme i liked then pushed it and now i got it going ...love the info on this site never woiuld have figured it out with the search bar
Even easier. You already have the theme zip on your SD card. Use root explorer to navigate to the zip. Go into the zip>system>app then long click the mms.apk, push copy. Now exit out of the SD card on open up your system>app folder and paste in. That should replace the mms.apk

Whats the name of the theme that you got the mms apk from?
Or you could use something like GOSMS and customize everything.

Decompile the apk with apktool, and then you'll have to change pngs in drawable-ldpi folder, i think.

use winrar or winzip
locate the folder that contains the background.png (something like that)
replace with your own (preferably the same size)
just overwrite and set the proper perms.. then restart
ps. can't point out directly the folder as i'm not using the stock music apk
U can change the two pngs from the music.apk ...decompile it and then go to res then to drawable ldpi finger folder u will see two png tht u see in the stock playr and then just replace them with ur image having same resolution and name as them....have fun

Nova launcher folder creation question

Hello,
I am using the nova launcher.
Is it possible to create a folder that I can drag to the dock?
A folder dedicated to audio related apps, inside this folders will be my stock music player, viper enhancer , poweramp player, etc.
I've been trying to do this for awhile now.
thanks,
I'm able to drag folders to the dock from my desktop no problem. On Nova 2.3 Prime.
