Why did you wipe data and cache and then reboot? You should have flashed a ROM immediately. Or at least restored your nandroid backup. Check out the thread for soft bricking and hard bricking. It'll help.

See http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1446593&page=6 here you will find the stock recovery file. You flash it the same way you flashed the custom recovery.

Of course it can be used, but with care!!!
I agree....
there should always be a warning
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dd_(Unix)
It is jokingly said that dd stands for "disk destroyer", "data destroyer", "death and destruction", or "delete data", since when used for low-level operations on hard disks, a small mistake, such as reversing the if and of (input and output) parameters, could result in the loss of some or all data on a disk.

em..if im not mistaken this already being posted b4?
This is just soft-unbricking, its been posted how.
And most of the time this doesn't even solve any issue.
Can u give me the links who already post the this title again.. but soon I will suggest u all the mod for galaxy w
Sent from my GT-I8150 using xda app-developers app
Your title suggests to how to unbrick a hardbricked SGW, but what you are describing is a simple flashing after your ROM rendered to be not booting. This happened already to many of us who tested many ROMs forth and back and has been discussed in many threats, so it´s not new.
This can be done with CWM or even with Odin if you can´t access CWM recovery but only the download mode.
But what we would need is a solution for a hardbricked SGW.

THIS is working to me. That time I mistaken delete some system file, after reboot my device I am stuck on SGW logo there. After I using this steps, my phone works again: D

is this for hardbrick or softbrick?
if this is softbrick, just get into cwm and install a rom..if this is a hardbrick or your phone cant turn on how can you manage to go to cwm with a dead phone??hfftt..
some advice : use jig(if you have one) or go to ssc..

Exactly. I would say a softbrick is when nothing works (even not CWM recovery) exept the download mode. Then you still can unbrick it by flashing the rom via Odin.
This happened to me once. Not a big deal, but a bit risky if something goes wrong while Odin is flashing the rom.
A hardbrick is when even the display doesn´t work and you are even not able to access the download mode. In some cases it´s still possible to unbrick it via Odin by entering the Download Mode with a trick or by doing it "blind".
There is for example a resistor+usb plug solution to enter the download mode in such a cese. Not sure it works with our SGW too, but it works with most Samsung devices.

That was also my intent in my earlier post, because the described procedure has nothing to do with unbricking the phone. It only describes a way how to reflash a rom.

Great, I'll switch back when that is fixed. Right now I am using the OUDHS CWM based Recovery cause the text is readable. The text in the regular CWM is too tiny to read, I have to use a magnifying glass to read the options

Yes, there is an issue with that since the touch screen is so much more sensitive on the S4, but it will be fixed soon. Team Win is working on it.
Today I finally rooted my Tablet 7 with some help from gr8nole here on XDA. Needless to say I was very happy and started downloading any and all apps that required root I was interested in. Unfortunately about an hour into my adventure I downloaded an app called LCD Density. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP. It soft bricked my device after changing the density from 240 to 160. I am now just trying to get back to square one again and have no idea what to do. I wiped the cache partition and re flashed root. Reboot same thing again. The Samsung screen is vertical not horizontal and doing the infamous glow from blue to white and back to blue and nothing more continuously. I am in CWM now and not really sure what step to take next as I don't want to risk a hard brick. I went to Rom Manager in CWM and no files were there when I went to use the backup feature What should I do?

Why didnt you just change the density back? Open build.prop, or push a stock version of it via adb or (idk if it is possible) via fastboot.
Then yoir problem should be solved. Those tweaks have got nothing to do with cache, or data, or so
Thats also why you need root and also the reason, why it is not so easy, to root some devices
But try brain.exe and everything should work, as it should
