Add a phone to Blacklist - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Hi guys,,
I like to add a number to Blacklist...
Could somebody help me out for that..
Cheers!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Which ROM are you on?
Swype'ed on my CM10 Galaxy Nexus

You must add the number to contacts, then select all calls to voicemail.

Or use Root Call Blocker, it works well on the Nexus.

This "add number to blacklist" was available in the older CM's (7 and previous) but I haven't seen it on any of newer Roms, not even on the CM's.
Any call blocker software from play store does the job but having it integrated into the ROM was a good feature
- sent from gnex

The Mr number app works well for me.

Most carriers let you blacklist numbers too...

I use my Google Voice number for everything and I can easily block a number.

If anybody can help me i am gratefull !

Voicemails not going to Google Voice ?

I need help please. I always use Google Voice just for my voicemails only. Just got my Nexus last night, set it up GV like I always do.
Missed a clients call this morning, and checked Google Voice and nothing, but there is a recorder icon in the notification bar, that would take me into some dial up phone voicemail ? Who the **** uses that in the 21st century.
Anyways, what's the deal here ?
Thank you.

follow this to make sure your number is correctly forwarding to your GV voicemail:
http://www.marketing.fm/2009/05/14/use-google-voice-without-changing-your-number/
Scroll down to the carrier number forwarding
Go into dialer, settings and set your voice mail to Google voice.

Thanks, tried that but some error came up, said my carrier does not support it ? That's not right.
I did just switch from Sprint to Verizon last night, could there be an issue there ?

yes, its not forwarding to GV, try the link I posted above
So per Google's web page, it shows Verizon as not working normally, until you dial *71 or something with your Google voice # ? I have no idea what my Google # is ?

Log in to voice.google.com and see your number. Or go into the Google Voice app and go to Settings. It will have an entry "My Google Voice Number" that lists your number.

Yes, you have to hook your number onto Google Voice via the website. It will usually entail your GV number calling your actual number and you pressing two buttons on the phone and then it will be connected.. Always how it's been on Verizon

[Q] Galaxy Nexus not receiving MMS (Verizon)

Good afternoon,
Can someone please assist? As the title reads, people are sending me pictures, and I'm not able to see them. I don't even get the download option, nothing comes up period. My phone's rooted and no special ROMs are installed. I went into Settings > More... > Mobile networks > and Data Enabled is turned on. I'm using Handcent. Not sure what other information is needed, but does anyone have any ideas?
Also, not sure how to update to Android version 4.0.3. My phone is rooted and the check for updates button says it's up to date but I'm not on 4.0.3. Sorry if I sound like a complete noob haha
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA App
I'd first check the settings for mms in the SMS program you're using.
Also 4.0.3 is not available on the gnex unless you're on a custom rom. Verizon is on 4.0.2 and some GSM models are still on 4.0.1
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Just fyi if you have wifi on sending and receiving mms messages well either take forever or not happen at all
I forgot I disabled handcent as my default sms/mms application so Vlingo could do TTS. Thanks guys!

Can I put a skin on the GN?

I know most people here are feeling horrified someone would put a skin on their GN but I really really really miss having large icons on my home screen that display how many text, voicemail and email messages I have and being able to click on them and I'm in the program I need to be to actually review the messages. Or perhaps there is a program like Beautiful Widgets that can give me that feature back?
I'm not sure if it is related or not but I miss the visual voicemail on my ET4G.

You will have wait for the nexus committee to convene on this serious issue. I think the next meeting is around December or January. They'll get back to you then.
let it be.

OK - this sounds silly but I intalled Go with navigation - it doesn't show up in widgets or apps. I uninstalled (only an option on marketplace - can't uninstall from apps otherwise as it doesn't show.)
pretty sure the new nova prime launcher has notification on icons now. and its a real ics launcher so id go that rt.

Thanks I installed google voice it said my phone number could not be verified.
I'm thinking these apps may not work with ICS or that google voice is still by invitation.

Have you set up Google voice before installing the app? Its a service and you use the app on the phone to access it.

Blocking calls on new jb

Hey guys,
You know I don't ask if I don't need help.
It's not internet related I promise.
Finally got the girl I want and I'm getting hammered on my cells.
Where is the option to block on new jb?
Do I need to flash backwards in time or buy an app?
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda premium
There are call blockers with blacklisting, like Call Control. I used it on my BlackBerry and it was great. There is an Android version. There are a slew of call blocking apps on the market, not sure which one is best.
Contacts, long press, add to reject list?
I really appreciate it

[Q] caller ID name display problem

I have a T989D from Kodooo with AOKP mr1 installed latest release I think it is June8/9
When someone calls I can see the phone number and name of person, but when I go into the call log only the phone number is displayed.
Is there a way to fix this bug and have the name show up as well.
I first installed the AOKP mr1 rom in april and everything worked smoothly. The name feature stopped showing up on the old rom so I upgrated to the lastest release with no luck.
Any help please?
It looks like cyanogenmod have removed the feature on their newer roms. The problem relies on a call notification function. I am able to see the caller id but as soon as call log is opened the name disappears and the number is saved. I need the name to be saved as well. Just like it was on older roms.
Anyone can help please?
