It's a separate core (exynos vs our s4 krait) and it's gsm vs our cdma radio. It's more useless than the sgsii source on the epic touch.
Still, thanks for the heads up. You meant no harm.

I understand all that but what I'm getting at is there is more to developing than copy and paste. I'm hoping with this as a guide regardless of gsm/cdma lte/hspa etc.. there might be some useful information to be gathered from this. **** they got the t-mobile JB leak to port over to sprint why not this source code.

because the tmobile gs3 has similar hardware, minus the radio. the international version is almost a completely different phone. what's so hard to understand?

All I can say is patience... It is a little dis heartening I will say though because it took the Vibrant nearly a year to get a stable version of CM7 on it.... But Koush is working on the EpTouch so all I can say is its only a matter of time and patience.
Gsm vs cdma with a wimax radio
Stop complaining and start developing if u in a rush.

Wimax and cdma are both wildcards. Tmobile and att are gsm, so it is a lot easier to port from the international version.

I didnt think the Tmobile version had CM support due to the Tmobile version having a different CPU than the rest of the bunch???
Tmobiles GS2 doesn't have either. They may have device support from those teams but so do we.

LOL, if we had a DEV from CM that had this as a personal device we would be rockin CM7 already. Being that we dont and all of our CM support is being done in spare time by one CM DEV at a time, it will take longer than usual. Rather than having that ICS ROM bounty we should pitch buy a CM DEV a device for his/her personal phone, lithid for example

As i will, but i dont see it being ported, ever. The hardware has changed to much for it to work. Primarily our phone uses the S3 snapdragon, vs the Galaxy S3 uses the S4 snapdragon. That and the screen type changing makes it highly improbable. It will have to be changed so much, you might as well just call a theme of the S3. From the looks of it, we are getting close to having a stable JB ROM.

It's different enough that porting something would be difficult if not impossible.. Generally to port something you need the hard ware to be quite close.. It would be easier to build something from scratch that to port from something that doesn't have the exact same hardware specifications

This is fantastic news if true. One would think it would utilize all the sensors of the S4. Maybe some custom AOSP & all the proper drivers etc.... with Tmo bands to boot. This is indeed a dream come true...if true.
Would be fantastic because then we would have all the proper code to make a fully working aosp rom with all of the features of stock touchwiz. I'm glad I ditched Sprint for tmobile.

It would be odd for Sammy to use the same S4 hardware and not utilize sensors and camera capabilities. No reason why it couldn't be AOSP with custom code to use all hardware features.
Question would be if it has all sensors or is stripped down hardware wise.
Just some thoughts. ..

You have to understand that 90% of the camera options are a closed source part of TW. It cant use use custom code unless they open source the code which we all know they are not gonna do. The biggest question is will it contain one of Samsungs new unrootable kernels.
