I don't have a steady hand and I forgot to bring my tripod to work so the zoomed in pictures might look blurry. I'm pretty sure I could take a clear picture with the zoom lens if I used a tripod mount. I'm also going to mod my extended battery mod so I can glue on the metal adhesive ring and the black 8xzoom mount so I dont have to use the clear case it came with and don't have to worry about running out of batteries when I take pictures.

The product quality is fine. Its not the greatest but definitely worth the money. The adhesive on the ring is a little weak so i had to use super glue to attach it to my battery cover. The picture quality is the same as if you had no lens on. I just couldnt keep a steady hand. The 8x zoom case feels sturdy but i wouldnt use it as an everyday case. I tried removing the black latch that holds onto the telescope to mod it onto my battery cover, and i broke it.. so ill be ordering a new one.
Got these. Not liking the fisheye that much but macro is simply amazing. Here are some pictures

But just how should I be using the zoom lens?
I just got one of the 8x zoom lenses but not the fisheye. I'm wondering just how I'm supposed to use it--do I leave the camera's built-in zoom alone (i.e., leave it at 1x) and then just twist the adjuster on the zoom lens itself? I'm finding that I can't get a steady enough hand, even with "anti shake" on, to get any kind of decent shot.
i got something very similar to this:

takes some modifying, but got it working with my otterbox defender case

I've been using the SGP Argos for a few days now and I'm ready to share my review with the XDA community. Overall, the case has been good and is really high quality, but there were somethings I didn't like about it. You can view my video review and my full thoughts below, along with high resolution pictures of the case.
You can purchase the case here:

The Argos is a genuine leather case available in Black, White, and Vintage Brown. The Black and White models cost $39.99 while the Vintage Brown costs $42.99. For $39.99/$42.99, you're not getting much. No screen protectors, just a leather case. Now not to say that this isn't a bad case, it's actually really high quality. There's no sewing so you don't have to worry about stitching falling apart. The quality of the leather is superb and is 100% genuine. Overall, the construction of the case is just absolutely fantastic.
It also gives you access to all ports, except the bottom microphone and usb port is only accessible when the front cover is opened. I'm sure you could tell by the image above how this case works. You need to open the front flap every time you need you access your phone, and this is also goes for charging it. This is the only downside I could see with the case. If you're someone who uses their phone often, opening the front flap constantly just to use the phone can be annoying. On the upside though, it offers screen protection so the chances of getting scratches on your screen are lessened. Honestly, I wasn't too keen on how the case functioned, but that's merely cause I'm impatient. If you're someone who doesn't at all mind the front flap and would rather have the extra screen protection and a gorgeous leather case, I'd have no issues recommending the SGP Argos for the Samsung Galaxy S III.

Nice, it is really high quality.
These look really nice. It's probably the only case with a front cover that I would get.
I espiaclly likd the way it closes. Very snappy but sturdy!
I also have this case. Overall it's nice but I didn't like how it flips around the back. It doesn't lie flat when it's open and make it a little awkward to hold.

Yup, I stated this in my review. The phone just slides around when the front flap is folded back.
First sorry for my English
I found a solution to the poor quality of the photos from the original lens covers.
Of cusualidad I realized that the lens covers original is the same size as the lens covers a Iphone4
Here the tests and installed the lens covers...
With the original:

With Iphone4 lens covers:
Installed lens covers of Iphone4:
I found the lens covers in Mercadolibre with a price of $40.- (pesos argentinos) Aprox. 4 U$S
:good:
The photo with your original lens is very strange, so poor quality and seems that your lens is dirty.
I never had so bad pictures has you have, nevertheless it's was a good workaround that you found that can improve the camera quality....
How do you replace it?
Spanish: Como lo cambiastes?
nice diy but stock lens is not this much blurry
If you clean your lens....you would have nicer pictures
My lens is scratched and camera take's shi*y pictures, i have G almost for a year, but my htc incredible s is 2.6 years old and there is no scratches on lens wtf?
Can we change the lens with lens like G2's. It is stronger to straches then G's lens.
The photos i take with the default lens are no that blurry, i think its not neccesary to change the lens
In my case I removed a layer that sits on the lens cover, the pictures looked great .
Does the iphone4 lens cover size match 1:1 the stock lens cover?
I want to replace my lens too , how to take down the original lens , and how to mount the new one ?

the lens are attached only with glue, you have to take the 2 screw to open the back housing and then push the lens from inside very carefully, then just replace with the iphone or a working lens, for my case was an old samsung model lens.

I don't know if this issue has been brought up yet or not, but I have an odd bug. When using the 13MP shooter, the picture looks extremely grainy and the blacks are more like grays. The line of trees around our house don't look black, they look an ashy smoke grey. And the grainy-ness is so bad it almost looks distorted at certain points that my son was walking around.
And yet when taking "selfies" the front camera produces crystal clear, beautiful pictures. It seems like it should be the other way around.
Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this or if I need to return this to TMO and get a replacement?

Any samples pictures to know what exactly you're talking about?
But from what it sounds like, get a replacement, i have no such issues.

My selfie camera looks like crap and is slow inside with low lighting.. grainy and bright. The rear does better, but still bad. Outside both are great. Lighting is huge with this camera.

Here's a sample picture that shows the blacks as the greys. Can't tell much about the grainy/pixelated part from this picture, but it gives you the idea.

When I broke the camera lens cover on my G2, I installed a replacement. After installing the replacement my pictures were like the one posted here.
Upon closer inspection I noticed a plastic removable film on the lens cover. When I took it off the pictures were great..
Check and make sure you don't have a protective plastic film left on your lens cover.

Good suggestion, but there is no plastic film covering the camera. I'm fairly certain if I take it into TMO they will just exchange it. Might just go for that and see if it helps.

Your pictures are not loading. Also if you have a good experience with a case, drop a note on http://forum.xda-developers.com/one...usion-shock-absorption-bumper-t2849205/page10 as its pretty much filled with negativity in terms of people receiving cases with loose sides.

Weird, pics load on three different computers for me. Anyway I've attached the pics.
Trying different image hosting site.
Wow looks very nice.
Playing around....Took a picture of bamboo cutting board at Target. Photoshop'ed it with the OnePlus logo and printed a 4x6 from it. I didn't really cut the camera hole out very well but I have another photo to try again.
Enjoy.
If anyone wants the image to print for themselves there it is.

I really love the bamboo look, printed it our for mysel too. As an AoT fan, here's the one that I made. Actual image was taken from DeviantArt, I merely moved the scout logo and added the OnePlus logo.
And here's some AoT love:

Very Nice!
Just a suggestion regarding the camera hole "notch" on the supplied template. I don't cut out the "notch", I just flip the template over after trace over it again to fill it it. After I cut it out, I put it on the case and mark the camera hole with a pen then use a small hole punch. Looks much better IMO.

I saw you do that in your picture and it is beautiful indeed. I wanted to do the same but I lacked a tiny hole pucher to do it. I could have done it using a pen knife but I don't trust my cutting skills.
My version of the nerv phone
That thickness tho...
Very cool stuff. I will have to order one of these cases. I have some carbon fibre vinyl around here I could put to good use. Chrome would look good as well.
bye bye fingerprints...........
I got tired of fingerprints with the glossy back. I covered the back exterior with carbon fiber vinyl.
I would love to see the internals of my g4.
Is there any clear/transparent backdoor out yet?

I had the same idea when I got my G4 a few months ago. I tried to check some of the Chinese website, I can't find one.
Haven't heard about such thing until now, checked out the iPhone4s and man does that look awesome. Let us know if you find one for the G4
Edit: tried my clear silicone case on the phone without the back cover and it looks pretty dope already
make a model for a 3d printer and I will print it on friends 3d printer he has one in office
Doesn't the back cover have NFC or wireless charging or both stuck on there?

It does, but you can purchase the stickers on Amazon for relatively cheap.
Sorry for digging this thread up after 27 months but maybe anyone here found/made a 3d model of that backdoor?
I'm working on accommodating camera covers on my H815 and opened a thread to discuss how to do that on the front without sacrificing the screen protector:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/accessories/camera-cover-custom-screen-protector-t3776657
But this leaves the issue of the main camera - the flat surface of the glass on top of it is too small to fit a cam cover slider and the area around the camera is curved. No way to stick that cam cover for longer than a day before it snaps right off in my pocket.
I'm planning to either print just the support for the cover - something to stick on top of the curved surface next to the camera to let the cam cover rest partially on the camera glass and partially on the support. That would still be rather suboptimal unless I use superglue for everything
- printing it precisely enough is one challenge, gluing it is one more, then gluing the cam cover is yet another. Then, having 3 elements made of 3 different materials connected on three surfaces (backdoor to support, camera glass to cam cover, support to cam cover), one of which isn't flat (backdoor) would make the whole thing rather loose without the superglue. But I think I'll end up doing just that since I can't seem to find the 3d backdoor model.
I was considering getting a 3d model of the whole backdoor to mod it so that this support would be its integral part - or even to integrate the cam cover slider right into it. And that's how I ended up here.
The reason why I want cam covers on there is not only because I'm paranoid but also because my cameras tend to get greasy so every time I try to take a pic I first get a foggy picture, then I wipe the cameras and have to re-take it. I had a cover on the back of my LG G2 D802 (the camera glass and the backdoor were perfectly flat in that area) and it helped a lot both with keeping the camera clean and with my anxieties.
