I have rooted my GNex and flashed ARHD + Trinity kernel with using volume down + power entering into fastboot mode.
After my second time reflashed ARHD, the volume down + power returns me into Odin mode. Though I can back to fastboot by using volume down & down + power, is there any way to reclaim the pressing of volume down + power into fastboot mode?
Many thanks

?? What bootloader version do you have? I cannot access the bootloader with volume down + power. Never could.

The bootloader version is PRIMELC03.
This is the GNex newly brought for my friend. It could enter into bootloader by pressing volume down + power before I reflashed a custom rom. My own GNex can enter bootloader with volume down + power. Wired

Impossible. You cannot boot into the bootloader by volume down and power -- that is download/odin mode. Bootloader is volume up and volume down and power. If your device is booting into the bootloader with only volume down and power, that means your volume up key is stuck.
Thanks and perhaps I have mixed up with HTC One X or use extended power menu to enter bootloader for too long. Anyway, use volume up & down + power to enter bootloader now.
Silly me.

Hi,
I try to install Cyagenmod 7 RC0 but fail to get into the stock Bootloader.
Everytime i try to boot into it, i get a attention sign with a droid besides it.
Is this wanted or is my bootloader damaged?
Version: 2.2.2 with Blur
Root: Yes
Recovery and bootloader are two different things:
To get to stock recovery: power up your phone while holding the power and volume down buttons, when the android + exclamation mark appears press volume up+down at the same time
Bootloader (needed to flash an sbf): power up your phone by holding the power and volume up button for about 5 seconds
Ah thank you.
In the How-to i was using, only pressing power + volume down was mentioned.
Hey guys, so I had unlocked my bootloader a while back and just rooted my phone now using the toolkit recommended on Droid-life. Now when I boot my phone into the bootloader (power button and volume down at the same time) it takes me to the bootloader and says "coin mode" in the top left corner of the screen. It also says:
Downloading... Do not turn off target!!
I've tried rebooting and battery pulling but everytime I enter the bootloader it says this. How do I fix this?
Thanks!

Power button + Volume down will bring you to ODIN.
To go to bootloader it's Power Button + Volume Up + Volume Down

I just flashed a rom and now my phone is stuck on the boot animation, I tried pulling battery and booting into recovery by holding the power and volume button, but the phone just starts up in odin mode. I flashed 4.2 yesterday and I wanted to go back to 4.1.2 and this is how I got into this mess.
can anyone help get into recovery?
thank you in advance.
press power and vol up and vol down... not just power and vol down (thats why you're going into ODIN mode)

Power, volume up and home. Once the LG flashes and disappears let go of the buttons and you will in recovery (if you rooted and put a recovery on the phone).
What is the button configuration to enter stock recovery?
Hold volume down and power, once phone vibrates let go of power. Once the screen with all the options comes up let go of volume down. After that enter bootloader then enter recovery.
Sent from my HTC 10

Left out a step.
After booting into recovery, when you see the red triangle, push and hold the Power button, and tap the Volume Up button once. This will get you into the stock recovery menu.
