Go into the Accounts & Sync menu under settings. do another "Add Account", there you should see a second Facebook account icon, click there and login to your facebook account.
If you've already done this, go back to the Account & Sync menu, and click the Facebook for HTC Sense and remove account, re-add it and reboot.
I always have that same issue when setting up a new ROM, and you just have ot play with the settings under Facebook for HTC Sense and sometimes even removing and re-adding helps.

Under the People app, click menu and view. make sure you have your Facebook checked.
You may want to avoid creating MULTIPLE threads for the same issue.
Check your other thread in the general section for an answer.
Sorry bout the other thread thing i want this issue resolved and i did check and facebook is checked
Stock Rom? Ask the Facebook App developer. Uninstall and reinstall. Wipe the phone and reinstall. I am using Stock Rom non-rooted and having no issue. Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
If you're still not having any luck, I'd have to agree with tgruendler, try a wipe and start over. As far as the Stock ROM, did you download and install it after rooting.
If that's the case, try one of the custom ROMS
Can u give me links and tell me how to do this??
I have the same problem as you.
I went back to rooted stock and i can't get it to find my friends. everythign else, including the friend stream syncs up fine.
I have wiped and reinstalled...same problem.
I'm having the same issue. I installed Fresh 1.0.1, and I wasn't able to re-sync, but when I reflashed my backup (which was working before), it still wouldn't connect.
Maybe Facebook is having issues today?

[CM6] Can't sync Google Calendar???

Hey guys, I can't get my Google Calendar to SYNC at all with CM6?
I think it actually used to sync fine and after one nightly I manually applied the Market fix, Facebook sync fix, and Froyo audio decoder 'fix' and ever since that day I have not been able to sync my google calendar at all (on CM6 only).
Even after re flashing to a stock 2.2 Rom (to try it out) and re flashing to the latest CM6 nightly I still cannot sync calendar (and yes I wiped). I wonder if there is something on my SD card or something that google is trying to restore (from backup) that is causing this.
My hunch was that hacked facebook.apk that is needed to sync on CM6 is causing the google calendar sync issue. But even after removing facebook all together that did not solve the issue.
At this point I am stuck because even after a freash flash of CM6 Calendar still does not sync.
My calendar syncs just fine with the latest nightly of CM6.. I've never had a problem with it and I have been using the nightly builds since they were started a few weeks back.
Go to Menu -> Settings -> Accounts and sync settings -> 'Your Google Account
Is 'Sync Calendar' checked? Check it if it is not and then hit Menu -> Sync Now

If it were that easy I would not have posted here. I have already tried that. My calendar used to ssync just fine. Not sure what I did. but now I cannot get it to sync at all even after flashing a new version of CM6.
That leads me to beleive there is a problem with my google account maybe or something is remaining around on my phone after a wipe.
I would think the latter is more likely because I can sync my calendar just fine on the stock 2.2 froyo or on older eclair roms.

Hmm.. What recovery do you use to wipe with? Maybe try updating/switching recovery versions to alleviate the wiping issue. Wipe data.. Wipe cache.. Wipe dalvik.. Even wipe SD after backing it up to PC if you truly want to start from scratch!

Google syncs old apps to my phone. How can i update it?

Whenever i install a new rom + do a full wipe, i need to redo the android setup.
It asks if i want google to backup my phone on their servers so i can switch phones/roms with no downtime.
The only issue is that it doesnt sync my apps that i have installed recently. It also syncs apps that i have removed a long time ago.
IS there a way to update that? Im sick and tired of uninstalling the same apps all the time.
Resync it manually. That seems to work for me. You have to MAKE IT do what you want it to do sometimes

You can try delete account, uninstall gmail, clean application files by SD Maid (you need PRO version for this), reboot and reinstall gmail again. Or, do a full clean/wipe install ROM. I’ve used both ROMs and never had problem with gmail.
I uninstalled and installed gmail back. I deleted the data files from the application manager. I forgot to mention that in my last post but its still the same i just dont get the problem. All settings are correct but still it does not sync. Theres another app that has the same problem. Whatsapp syncs well but gmail just wont sync

GMail not syncing?

My GMail accounts aren't syncing.
I have tried clearing the cache, removing the accounts then readding them; and playing around with the options in Settings->Accounts & Sync.
Note that: not only does auto-sync not work, but in the GMail app going Menu->Refresh also doesn't work.
How do I get this to work?
Thanks for all suggestions,
Alec Taylor
PS: I was unable to root the phone, so am on Stock 2.3.3 with HTC Sense 2.1. GMail hasn't worked since I upgraded from Stock 2.2.1 to Stock 2.3.3.
Try clearing data for gmail and Google services framework, that always worked for me

As mentioned in my post, I have already tried this.
I would suggest you try and install either an older or a more recent version of gmail, or try uninstalling (back up the apk first) and reinstalling it completely. I hope that none of this requires root.
It could also be other programs conflicting with gmail so pulling some logs might provide some insight (as explained here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2185929).
If none of this works I would suggest looking further into your problem with rooting your phone since there are very comprehensive guides out there (like http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/index.php?title=HTC_Vision#Rooting_the_G2). Just yesterday I reset my Desire Z to stock and rerooted it.
It's hard to give further advice without additional information. Does your problem persist no matter whether you use WiFi or mobile network?
