Kernel with recording calls - Xperia Arc Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Which Kernel allows me to record calls? ( I want "2 way recording", not by mic).
I have Xperia Arc S with stock 4.1.B.0.587 ROM. (rooted)

I didn't think android can do this. Think you must use app from play store but which I don't know.
Not100% sure this correct.

I know, It's a lot of apps (for ex. CallRecorder) but not all of kernels allows recording, so thats why i'm asking.

Not all android games from the market are xperia play optimized. You need a third party app such as gamekeyboard to map the physicals keys and use on screen controls to reposition those keys to map out virtual buttons for the games you want to play. Basically with gamekeyboard you can make any non-optimized xperia play into becoming optimized.

I think it is a problem with my device after further investigation!
Have you tried any optimized games like, say, dead trigger?

I haven't tried dead trigger but i have tried lots of others and discovered using an app which shows 2 yellow dots on the screen to represent touch pad input that my touch pads only work in good light and also when the device is held pointing up!
Jeez that is weird....what android version are you running?

Ebay. I bought 3 of my plays off of ebay. I did do a stress tests on them to be sure they weren't abused alot.
It might work if you install CM9.

I don't want to lose my apps/games data for nothing...
I have a lot of games and apps installed on my device...
So backing up and restoring take time...
But it seems no one of ordinary members tested JB ROMs...
And there is no dualboot kernal for switching between GB and JB...
I think I will stay on GB ROMs for some time...
Just saying, backing up takes 3 minutes. They should be smooth, but the gaming performance won't be as good as GB, I presume.
Works really smooth and fast only thing stopping me using it as a daily rom is the audio routing issue

So is it faster than ICS? Is gaming also better? Thanks fma965

Better for gaming of course! whit my fix for touchpads and gamepad for CM9 and 10.
Is very smooth

i love the google now, is ****ing great!
JB is better than ICS in many aspects.
The only thing i hate is the camera and audio bug....

Yes i think it just works normal, i never had any problems restoring data from ics to jb. altough going to jb from gb is a bigger step so im not fully sure.
Thanks for the response. I think I'll wait to see if there is ever some sort of touchpad fix to have better compatibility and then I'll move from ICS. Yea, I guess it's because FXP is swamped with those other devices but lets see. I have a feeling though that when Archos release there gaming tablet with that 1000+ game compatibility that someone just might port it over to us. Heres hoping

Do ICS ROMs fair any better? Can you play all games on them? Thinking of installing a custom ROM but won't be looking at an ICS one if it can't play all games with touchpads yet.

Read what i said. You cant have anything. I want an watch with waterfall too. The prob is some of the games are based on Sony framework, that means that they work or they just use some drivers.
Srsly, nothing works 100%

Effective Call Recorder for Xperia S?

I'm using a Xperia S. I've tried many of the popular call recording apps in the market. But all of them mainly records my voice (what I'm speaking to mic). Other party's voice can be hardly heard.
Is there any other effective app for recording both parties voices clearly?
Always post queries in Q/A section!
The stock GB/ICS kernel does not support two way voice recording while the JB kernel does.
Wait for official update then the app will work.
The only way to record now is using loudspeakers.

nope, only 2 or 3 phones at the moment can actualy handle that , Xperia ZU, Iphone (hah), HTC one
Maybe ION if you record in 420p for both but you will have to record in 19FPS
..ill ask a app dev i know if we can try and experiment with it

Your media apps or modified framework doesn't matter. The fact that you're running ICS already says everything. ICS is a bad choice if you want to play a high end game like Dead Trigger. Please switch to another ROM if you still want to play this game.

That's why you might as well switch to another ROM that can run this game all the time.
