Loving it and just rooted using unrevoked and used rim manager to download stock rooted. Not sure if its good to use kingdom find as SD cards needs to be partitioned and that can slow things down and all

Since gingerbread, I've lost my root on my droid x. Am considering a n incredible 2 because its still on froyo and can be rooted using z4root. Id like to know if any owners are using z4 and how they like their incredible 2
Sent from my SCH-I800 using XDA Premium App
First, the incredible 2 cannot be rooted with z4root. Second, there is a forum for the inc 2 where you'll probably get better answers since most of us on this forum don't have an inc 2.

Well for one you can root your gb Droid x with gingerbreak, and the inc 2 wont have root until alpharevx releases their 2nd beta which should be very soon. But the phone is great I used a gb Droid x before this and I love my inc 2 so much better

Thanks for the suggestion, but I've tried gingerbreak. Nothing happened. It just keep running and running. Then I found out that gingerbreak won't root a phone that got the o.t.a. Upgrade.

I had this Sprint TV app that came with the EVO 3D and I was wondering if there was a way to get that app to work on the Galaxy Nexus since I would watch a lot of sports on it

Aw device is not supported... only other way would be to side load it. Search for the apk on xda. Or pull it from a stock deodexed sprint ROM for you evo.

Hi guys, so I can pretty much do anything, I've been rooting for a long time. So should I root now? If so, which Rom would be best? Thanks in advance
Sent from my SGH-T999 using Xparent Green Tapatalk 2
Best way to find out what's the best rom is to try them out people can say one thing about a rom and you can think something else,
Root and rom away, and welcome

This.
Save yourself from any future headaches and head on over to Peoplearmy and GeeK's threads and back up your IMEI with both methods just in case.
I ran with stock rooted for a good week after getting my GS3 just to make sure there weren't any defects (since stock is the most stable).
Pardon my ignorance, I know what imei is, but if things go wrong, how will imei be involved?
Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
Some people where having issues and there imei was lost, there's a tool to back it up in development section just back it up you shouldn't have issues I haven't seen people inquiring about lost imeis lately,

For some odd reason, people have been reporting that their IMEI information on the phone was wiped while flashing ROMs through recovery. That information isn't supposed to be touched, but nobody has really found out the reason why that data gets wiped during the flashing process for some users.
When this happens, the phone loses its ability to connect to your mobile network (because it has no IMEI information to present to the network), so it's essentially an iPod. Last week I randomly lost my IMEI from restoring a nandroid backup from CWM (luckily I backed up my IMEI information and was able to restore it within minutes), but I've heard people saying that it happens on TWRP as well.
I'm not saying that it will happen to you whenever you flash a new ROM, but when it comes to these things it's always better to be safe than sorry.
Also, welcome to the SGS3 forums . Leaving the childish drama behind in the Amaze forum alone was worth the upgrade for me.

Trial and error always the best course with roms. I would root mine was rooted a few hours after I pulled it out the box.
Very easy to do and with our development section well worth it.

I don't see why it wouldn't work setting as my E4GT (Exynos) did. Also, there's an easier way to change the prl and it doesn't even require your msl.
I use 00002 which forces Verizon and can be found in the E4GT General section. Anyway gets the method - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=33319340
