Since gingerbread, I've lost my root on my droid x. Am considering a n incredible 2 because its still on froyo and can be rooted using z4root. Id like to know if any owners are using z4 and how they like their incredible 2

First, the incredible 2 cannot be rooted with z4root. Second, there is a forum for the inc 2 where you'll probably get better answers since most of us on this forum don't have an inc 2.

Well for one you can root your gb Droid x with gingerbreak, and the inc 2 wont have root until alpharevx releases their 2nd beta which should be very soon. But the phone is great I used a gb Droid x before this and I love my inc 2 so much better

Thanks for the suggestion, but I've tried gingerbreak. Nothing happened. It just keep running and running. Then I found out that gingerbreak won't root a phone that got the o.t.a. Upgrade.

My friend has an HTC incredible and she's interested in rooting. If I root using unrevoked, how can I "unroot" if she ever needs to take it to verizon

Loving it and just rooted using unrevoked and used rim manager to download stock rooted. Not sure if its good to use kingdom find as SD cards needs to be partitioned and that can slow things down and all

I've done that with a Droid x but haven't tried with inc2. Worked fine on the dx though. Had to wipe data after restore

OK then that's tomorrows try. I asked cause I'm running paranoid android jelly bean and I can't get no in coming MMS everyone else does so I figured if it works on my wife's dinc2 I can just try to install it on mine from her back up.

Thoughts? Much better phone?

Probably not, idk how good the dev support is over in rezound land but I recently upgraded to a GS3 from my inc2 and seeing that the dev support for the inc is slowing down the s3 was a great switch. Are you contract upgrading or buying it used?

Have you looked into the DNA my brother got on and it's amazing

Buying it used been on the forums and heard battery life is crap so guess I won't be buying one

My upgrade is in may & i'll likely be getting the sgs III
A good option for a used phone would probably be a galaxy nexus if you're into aosp, there cheap and would last you a good year or so.

Rezound is better than Galaxy Nexus. Better camera and processor

I haven't heard too much good come out of the rezound. But I really haven't had hands on with it. I stuck with my DInc 2 till I got sick of the viper Rom I got stuck with. Went and bought a DNA love it.
