So i noticed.. in youtube videos and all that, everyone seems to have videos auto playing in their video player. like the thumbnails as playing videos.. is that just International or am i missing something or is it a specific type of video or do i have to do something?
No one?
My thumbnails play when I view my videos through the video player app.

Interesting.. I'll experiment with it.
I can't seem to figure this out myself. My thumbnails through video Plauer system app, aren't showing quick previews also. My wife's GalaxyS3 has no problems with the thumbnail previews. While mine is motionless:/

I figured it out! If you just took a video, you have to give it like 1-10 mins depending on the video size for the video player app to render the previews. I was just sitting there and all of a sudden smaller vids started moving and then larger ones did a couple mins later

Ok so i have 10 or so videos on my Evo. When i open the video app they all show up as thumbnails. Which is cool but the actual name is missing. Is this normal, or am i just missing something really obvious?

Dont know if any of you have heard of this app, but if you havent you should take a look at it, it's pretty cool
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ms.screencast
It's used to record what you are doing on your phone and it also takes screenshots.
Here's a youtube video I made

If you are using the xda app or Tapatalk app and can't see the video, click menu, more, browser to view the video

I was just wondering if the pop up video feature on the galaxy note 2 is compatible with only the native video player or is there a mod to allow it to work with even video apps ? Thanks !

If you want something similar for it that works with YouTube try Popcorn Player
There's a few that are pop up. DICE player is what I was using on my GSII, I believe it's the same company that made the one for the Note II. There is also another one that'll do youtube pop up playback but I didn't like the integration so I don't use it anymore.

Any chance pop up can be initiated from a movie watched through the native web browser or any web browser or can it only work with video player apps mentioned? Thanks for all your responses! I appreciate it.

I haven't tried it, but I run Mobo Player as my primary video app. It has a Pop Up player and I believe it can play streaming videos etc. Although I never tried the pop up with streaming videos. I'll try if I get a chance. Is there a specific page/site to try?
Theses an APP call WorldStar HipHop That uses the defualt video Player and can use the Pop up play Option

Back on my S3 on JellyBomb, there was a gallery app which gave a "moving preview" of all the videos in my folder. Like I can see all the little videos playing, instead of static thumbnails.
Anybody know what that app is, and how I can get it on my Note2 (on Whompasaurus)?
Thanks!
mike
If you open up your "video player" app... I believe it shows all of your videos with live previews.
Ahhhhh so. Thanks!

I also want to have that apk in my nexus5 any idea?
i think you can try the app QuickPic
I don't know if it's been posted here, but some of you may have noticed that updating the YouTube app completely messed up saving a video to scrapbook. It just saved the screenshot and you would have to uninstall the YouTube update to get it to work.
To get the videos to save on your scrapbook all you have to do is click the share button on YouTube and select scrapbook. Now the videos play within scrapbook.
I don't know if I'm just an idiot for not trying that in the first place, but just posting this to maybe help out someone who hasn't figured it out yet.

I just use OGYoutube and download the videos I like to watch in the video player of my choice. I like to save the music videos and such that I like and use MX Player so that I can play them with the screen off if I want to while driving over bluetooth.
thanks men .. :good:
There is a YouTube update today which works now.

"OGYoutube?" Can't find on Play Store. I'll Google when I get home, but in the mean time: Any info?
