So ive gone ahead rooted my P935 many times now quite simple to do. The question is its a Telus phone i'm with rogers, when i flash the v10f kdz i get origninal GB korean rom fully unlocked phone shows using rogers network. When then doing nitro hd unbrick guide and if i only DD the system.img file to install the att version p930 then do the battery pull factory reset my phone still is network unlocked. What i'm tryin to find out is which .img files baseband firmware etc would control this network lock, since when i tried to flash H!ONO v20c P930 cmw flashable ics leak my phone became network locked again. Ijust cant seem to straighten it all out , information overload .
That's very strange, flashing ROMs should not affect network lock. I'm using Bell P930 on Fido, I've flashed AT&T leak and Bell official ICS and neither have re-locked the phone. As long as the IMEI remains unchanged you should be able to use the original unlock code you received to unlock the phone again.

Interesting indeed would it be the v10f .kdz korean somehow. And heres the thing I have recieved no unlock code to unlock. And now am back to running the CM9.1 unlocked working on Rogers Network .
Aha! I figured it out. CM has your Rogers APN preconfigured. The official roms would not lol. I don't know why the SU640 rom was letting you connect. It really shouldn't because your firmware and baseband should be incorrect if you flash it. Anyway, APN has nothing to do with your phone being locked or not
w0095157, are you certain your phone was never carrier unlocked by someone? Did you purchase it brand new in box from a store?

brand new in box i swear, telus store,. must be a fluke. but it works id like to find more information on different radios modems, which may change service for me, but i was comparing this to what iphone 4 service was saying side b y side.
Yeah, that makes more sense. Unlock codes are $2 off of eBay, it's worth it just to make sure you don't have any hassles switching between ROMs.
Does LTE work on Rogers when using the Bell unlocked version (P930)?
I know you have to get an LTE Sim card and an LTE enabled plan, but before i buy on eBay and update my plan, i was wondering if the LTE band works on Rogers even if it is a Bell phone.
Yes, i have LTE in my area.
Cheers!

I don't live in Canada, but from what I'm able to find online, Rogers and Bell are using compatible LTE frequencies so it should work just fine.
It works!!!

So after trying million and 1 things I made it work! Baseband and firmware go together and I thought they contain the SIM/network lock so i tried changing them, but apparently all the versions i tried were locked too.... so since the Korean version is with unlocked SIM, why not change directly from it to Cyanogen build ??? Because the wifi is not working!!! and since i did not manage to fine how to install in while offline (CM or Clockworkmod) i flashed from the Korean version just the system.img and voila! I have unlocked SIM with working WIFI ... so putting CM after this was a breeze!
so:
1. flash to Korean V10F_00.kdz
2. root the phone
3.adb shell
su
dd if=/sdcard/system.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p27
should have unlocked SIM + everything else working on the ATT version which you can now install Clockworkmod and go for Cyanogen mod of your choice. i did cm-10-20121105-NIGHTLY-p930.zip - works great!
I have a p930 with at&t permanent locked network, I discovered too that the baseband of the korean version is unlocked, I made a thread about this but nobody commented or cared i think lol, you can install any rom you want but remove the baseband of the rom before install.

Ok I have a similar problem with an at&t Lp 930, did the unbrick guide to sim unlock with the korean baseband. While in the koream ROM sim was succesfully unlocked. But after following the guide, flashing to AT&T Gingerbread and installing ClockWork Mod, I flashed it to HO!NO! AT&T ICS CWM Flashable ROM once in ICS, I lost Sim Unlock and was back to: Network Locked on Phone.
So what your saying is to basically only flash the system.img after the korean ROM is on the phone and ignore the other images, then after flash to desired ROM with CWM?
And if so, if I flashed to HO!NO! At&t flash, would I still have Locked Network?
Thank You

replace everything but the baseband, that is how I did
Hi all. I am new to all this and the more I read the more confused I become! I bought a T-Mobile T999 with a bad IMEI. I unlocked it and am using it with my Mobilicity SIM card.Everything is working fine except for the wifi hotspot. Also the T-Mobile bloatware is getting in the way. Iwas on my way to rooting the phone when i thought to myself... would it be possible to flash the Mobilicity stock firmware from the SamMobile sight onto the phone. If this doesn't work would I be able to flash the stock TMobile firmware back to the phone? So on the T999 can I flash the Mobilicity T999VVLDMF2_T999VYVLDMF2_MCT firmware from SamMobile
Thanks to any and all who might help.
No to all.

Hi, i'm having trouble going back to stock. I installed stock fido software via odin but, Rogers bloatware is on when I power up. Am I doing anything wrong? Wiped/factory reset, cleared cache and re-installed but same thing.
Thanks
Is this the ROM you are installing?
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/1/?model=SGH-I747M&pcode=FMC#firmware
The exact one.
Well, Rogers owns Fido so maybe that's why there is Rogers software in the Fido ROM? I'm not sure since I don't have a Fido phone to test.

I own a fido i747 as well. There shouldn't be any rogers bloadware installed on your phone.
I've gone back to stock before and Fido software was on it but, this time, it put Rogers crap on it. I even used the file I had downloaded originally but
for some reason it wont load Fido this time. Not a huge deal, but i'm a little anal about the whole problem.
As the title states, I am using my Verizon LG G3 on T-Mobile. I have everything working fine on the stock Verizon firmware. I want to load a custom ROM, but unclear on if I should load a VZW or Tmo version. I assume I can make a VZW version work, but I would prefer to run a Tmo version. Is it possible to load a Tmo ROM on here or should I stick with the VZW tailored stuff? Thanks.
The bootloader is locked on the Verizon version of this phone. You will not be able to install any rom at this time
You should've bought a Tmo G3 from the start, its bootloader is unlocked and you can load anything you want on it.
I have an AT&T Galaxy S3 (Model SGH-i747) that I have unlocked and am using on Tmobile. Since it was originally an AT&T device, am I able to use Odin and simply replace the ROM with the Tmobile version (t999 I believe)? The phone is totally stock with the exception of being unlocked with a code from AT&T. It is running Android 4.1.2 Kernel Version 3.0.31-1300972. I downloaded a ROM for the Tmobile t999 with Android 4.3 and when I tried to install it Odin gave me an error: Secure check fail sbl2. I really don't like the AT&T boot screen and AT&T bloatware, and I'd like to run the factory Tmobile setup. Is this doable or are the 2 models of Galaxy S3 different enough to prevent it?
Flashing a stock T999 ROM will also try to flash a bootloader and modem that are not compatible with your i747 and may hard brick your phone.
Thank you, I appreciate the help. Do you know what options are available if I want to get rid of the AT&T boot screen and bloatware (Specifically the AT&T contacts book) while maintaining all the functionality of the device? I have been searching around on this site and google and I've been having a hard time finding information specific to this situation.
You could try a custom ROM but before flashing anything, it's a good idea to verify your bootloader and modem version.
If you are running an old bootloader and modem, you'll have to decide if you want to upgrade to use the latest custom ROMs or stick with your current bootloader and modem.
