Hello, I have this Sprint phone with a carrier in Mexico (Iusacell), voice and data work fine. The rom is the Stock FE16 (ICS 4.0.4) however, whenever I restart or shutdown the phone, the timezone is set back to CST-04:00 (Eastern Standard Time)
Anyway to fix this?
Hey guys,
I recently upgraded my Rogers Galaxy S3 d2att from CM10.1 Nightly 02/12 to CM 10.2 and have no longer been able to get the usual H+ connection. I now have either no letter or an E beside the signal bar. I did the following:
Dirty Flash 10.2 through Recovery Menu
Delete cache, dalvik and data in recovery menu
Couldn't get 3G, 4G or H+ Connection so I dirty flashed 10.1
Installed latest d2att rogers modem, installed latest bootloader, neither worked
Flashed back to CM10.1 Nightly
Can't get previous H+ connection on CM10.1 Nightly
I'm getting the worst headache trying to solve this. I'm more than willing to revert back to stock to try and get this working properly.
Thanks!
UPDATE:
I found out my IMEI was deleted while flashing. Does anybody know how I would get this back?
First off, how did you get cm 10.2

Try going back to stock by odin. That should work. And how did you get cm 10.2?? Can you give me the link where you downloaded from. That would be great.

Are you sure you don't mean CM 10.1.2? I don't think CM 10.2 is available for the Rogers or AT&T Galaxy S III yet...if it is please link to it.

Yes sorry, you're absolutely right! I still have service on my phone but I cannot even get 3G signal.

1. Check if Access Points are correct
2. Check if you lost your IMEI (normally if you still get service but not mobile data beside edge, your IMEI will show as 0)
3. if the above aren't true, have you try flashing different nightly/stable or different roms?
and if your imei was deleted
you need to inject your imei again
first, take out the battery, beside the battery there should be serial numbers and imei numbers
secondly, you need SGS3 NV Gen and NV item reader & writer OR you can also use QRST though the process is a little more difficult (I don't think i can distribute the files here, and QRST you can google it)
as for SGS3 NV gen and nv item writer, you just need to copy and paste your imei to SGS3 NV Gen and it'll write to a text file, then all you need is to use NV item writer to connect with your phone and upload the file.
oh and you need to revert back to stock rom because the phone needed to be in RM + Modem + something mode lol... which is located in one of the secret menu .... i believe it was *#7284#

I followed your steps. The IMEI was injected successfully but the ERI is still showing 0. How do I fix that?
Or, how do I get it to re-register on the network with the IMEI in place?
Samsung Galaxy S3 (d2att) Poor or no Service
I'm having the same issue - or so it appears. my IMEI was also erased and I restored it using the method described above. That solved the issue of not being able to connect to the network at all, but now my connection last 3 minutes at best. I start off with LTE, then 3g, then g, then no letter at all and through that all, making/receiving calls, sending receiving texts, and even accessing the internet is only doable the first 3 minutes or so. After that, all if gone.
I've gone through the following radios:
I747UCLEM: modem_CWM_I747UCLEM.zip - 19.06 MB - May 22nd, 2012 (original shipped)
I747UCLG1: modem_CWM_I747UCLG1.zip - 19.06 MB - July 1st, 2012
I747UCLH1: modem_CWM_I747UCLH1.zip - 19.40 MB - August 1st, 2012
I747UCLH9: modem_CWM_I747_UCLH9.zip - 18.90 MB - August 9th, 2012
I747UCLI5: modem_CWM_I747UCLI5.zip - 19.51 MB - September 5th, 2012
I747UCDLK3: modem_CWM_I747UCDLK3.zip - 18.42 MB - November 3rd, 2012
I747UCDMG2: modem_CWM_I747UCDMG2.zip - 19.01 MB - July 2nd, 2013
I've tried various CWM versions, ROMs, and even Odined back to stock but still have the same issue. I ruled out the possibility of it being a SIM issue by placing my SIM in another phone. Service worked beautifully as expected. I took a working SIM from another phone and placed it in mine and had the same poor signal issue.
I've tried a good deal of troubleshooting methods and am seemingly stumped. I'm sorry to see that others are having the issue but I'd like to help however I can. the only thing I can say for certain is wrong at the moment is that my Serial Number seems to have been changed and no longer matches what is written on the phone....could that be the issue?
Current Serial number is displayed in about phone as: 1f03dbad
Hopefully, this provides some insight and someone a bit more knowledgeable than myself can help us find a solution.
If you need anything else, let me know and I'll do my best to provide it.
Please help I have the same issue, I have flashed back AT&T official ROM, but no 3G signals and weak phone signals. Did you guys find a solution? How do I check my ERI?
Please help if you have a solution.

I am having the same connectivity issues. I had to restore my IMEI earlier this week after a dirty upgrade, and then restored to several 10.1.x versions and back to 10.2, though this did not help. I did a stock restore and then rooted again, as well as restored 10.1.2 and nothing helped. I also dirty flashed beanstalk latest build, 2 builds of paranoid android and nothing worked.
Sometimes I can get on LTE or HSPA+ for a few minutes after turning data off and on, but this resets. I have also tried several APN settings, the ones provided by cyanogenmod as well as reconfigurations.

This is irrelevant, the new bootloader was added into the recovery ROM so there is no need to downgrade the bootloader. I did just in case to see if my issue would be fixed but as expected it was not.
I'm currently on
Tmobile
Baseband: M919UVUAMDB
Build #: KOT49H.M919UVUFNB4
ROM: Android 4.4.2 Jedi Rom
1. Do I just follow the installation instructions of flashing ROM + Compatibility... being that im on 4.4.2 , or do I need extra steps?
- It also says
"This Rom is able to be installed on the Galaxy S4 Using a MDK Custom Recovery or on 4.3 Base with Safestrap"
I have TWRP... and I dont think I have 4.3 safestrap
2. Can I still install it with TWRP with my current stats?
3. And if I install it, which Kernel should I choose? (read about wifi issues)
You should be able to clean wipe and then flash

Hello all!
First time poster, long time reader/lurker...
Just wanted to see if there was a common issue with Hyperdrive RLS 18
Issue: somewhat confusing T-Mobile APN/Mobile Networks setup with an issue sending text messages, as well as having no microphone/speaker (no input/output of sound) when receiving/making phone calls.
Description: I was able to flash this just fine, with some finagling of a somewhat unfamiliar landscape for a Tmobile touchwiz android installation, was able to get Text Messaging to send, previously was only receiving and failing on Send. LTE vs H+ symbols depending on Network settings, but still had data connectivity to Tmobile either way.
Additionally, if a phone call is made OR received, it appears to connect through mobile just fine (rings on either end, says connected on either end) however, doesn't actually transmit voice from both handsets to either handset.
Installation steps:
-Factory reset from TWRP
-Wipe Dalvik Cache
-Wipe Cache
Install rom
Chose basically no add-ons, s4 launcher 4x4
Chose Tmobile
Waited 10 minutes+ after reboot.
Baseband: m919uvufnb4
kernel: 3.4.98-kt-sgs4-kk4.4-tw-tmo-07.12.2014-ktoonsez #1
Hardware ver: REV0.7
Security ver: MDF v1.0 Release 2
Had an issue where texts wouldn't send, looked for APN settings and has a lot related to CDMA (I presume due to multi-carrier support)
in More Networks>Mobile Networks...
Mobile data: On
Data Roaming: Off
Network mode: Preferred network mode: GSM/UMTS
System Select: Automatic
CDMA Subscription: NV
Dial-up Networking: off
Default Setup: Automatic
If I change Default Setup to Manual it searches for mobile networks, then I select Tmobile.
Of note:
1. Before I figured #2 out, I flashed it again (following same steps with wipes etc) and used ATT, even worse results. then reflashed again (with so many wipes!) with Tmo in aroma. However, I was getting 4g and LTE symbols and fine data connectivity. Received texts but could not send.
2. I had to change Default Setup from Automatic to Manual and select Tmobile before I could send a text message. Before that it would receive texts, but all sent would fail (regardless of sms app used). After setting Manual Default Setup and Selecting Tmobile my data symbols changed from H+ and 3g (I never got 3g symbols on other roms, so I just presumed when it said LTE it was lte and 4g was.... 3g or some ****)
3. When I do a soft or full reboot, it goes back to showing Automatic, for Default Setup, but doesn't appear to impact my ability to send text messages.
So I hope this block of text is helpful, please let me know what logcats or what I may need to do/test before I get this working. 90% love this rom, but am a little confused at to the setup, and obviously I need to be able to make calls.
Thanks everyone/anyone!
Also let me know if I should delete this and make a new thread, or place this reply somewhere else, I did search!
Hi all,
I'm running Jedi Master X2 on my tmobile note 2 and have been seeing many issues with regards to connectivity. Rarely I can get 4G LTE and most of the times it drops to 4G, 2G or loses data all together. It seems very random at times. When data is lost it will either say 'searching' or it shows 'not registered on network'. I read some other forums and the 'not registered on network' issue seemed to be related to the wrong/blacklisted IMEI, but i can see mine just fine.
I've also attemped to go back to the stock 4.3 ROM, but to no avail (performed a full wipe when going between). Setting the SE Linux Mode to permissive doesn't improve the signal either. I've tested my sim and checked the physical antenna/modem by swapping with another tmobile note 2 but don't see the issue there. => it's isolated to my phone (software related)
I have the following installed:
Android version: 4.3
Baseband: T889UVUCMK7
Kernal: 3.0.31-2085660

Hi all.
i flashed last nightly version of CM 13 to my d855.
I have two problems.
1- Mobile networks choosen at LTE (recomended). I cant change it. 2G or 3G option is looks like selectable but nothing happened when i select it. Phone always staying just 2G (edge) mode.
2- After the phone call there is a message appear on screen: Invalid number (with bleeping)
if you have any idea for the fix this problem please write.
Thanks.

I had the same as your Nº 1 Problem, i tried to go to *#*#4636#*#* and force the phone to change to 3g but it didn't work either.
So i went back to my previous rom (XenonHD 5.1.1) y enter the menu on *#*#4636#*#* and select wcdma prefered (and i dis change).
I flash again CM 13, and the phone got 3g, but i can`t change the network mode, so i only got 3g or 2g.
i think that the rom doesn`t actually have the right permissions to change that now, hope it gets solved.
Hope you find this helpfull. And sorry if i misspelled some word, english is not my home language.
Thanks i got clearly. Not my home language too
1. As for your signal problem, depends on your carrier as CM is trying to be universally available to all carriers.
2. And as for the "invalid number" error, it is a very well known CM 13 issue according to CM moderators and developers and has been pushed to get fixed in upcoming nightly releases.

Have the same number 1 problem. Htc one m8 dual.
