I am asking my self if production of bada handsets dies in 2011 or few devices produced in 2012?
Remember, last bada devices launched "November" 2011...
S8600
S7250
S5380
It seems 2 ways to find some answers...

As it was noted in some of the threads here the last two digits in the ROM version apparently the region code.
So let say even if it is an Asian ROM but one is x.xx.831.1 and another is x.xx.707.1 they are not for the same region(?) and one will not flush over the other without Hard-SPL.
I'm trying to figure out the version coding. It looks, for example, that x.xx.831.1 is for Hong Kong.
These are the codes I know... maybe there are some more...

sorry I didn't have any info too ... just let's test it
It would be better to use my link... I want to know the number of downloads
the package size is about 150 mg and I compressed it in 50 mg
Doesn't matter how real is it, you can't use it anyway (except graphics and sounds) because of many, many reasons.
OK, this is from Microsoft's XDE emulator, I'm 95% sure of that

Hi,
I was wondering if there is any way to extract the firmware from my S8500T handset? I'm wanting to do this as there is no copy of this firmware available and I want it as a back-up in case things go wrong with flashing to other firmwares.
my S8500T runs S8500MBJF2, S8500HUTJF2
any ideas?
thanks!
What country / provider is your phone?
@ beigebullet
Please post Product Code you see this via sTune. Something like this : GT-S8500BAADBT
So I could try something...
About your Question.

Ah do you mean 'Product Name'? In sTune all I get is xxxxxxxxxxxx.
I've manually changed my CSC from HUT (ie. Three Hutchison australia) to KOR but I can change that back if needed...
I've uploaded a pic of what it shows me

Yes, correct.
xxxxxxxx I saw several times.
This means NV item 2757 (HEX Value) is empty.
Kies without valid Product Code do nothing.

P.S:
S8500T
Attention!
I'm not sure. But for instance S8500R seems to have problems with normal Firmware... maybe incompatibility.

Hmm, so can I somehow get a valid Product Code from Samsung?
And yes, the S8500T is not compatible with normal firmware, as the T version runs on 850/2100Mhz bands, not the 900/2100 on standard firmware. This is the reason I want to extract the firmware from my phone, as I'd like it for a backup.
Thanks for your help adfree

Yesterday we tweeted that we will stop bringing new beta releases of bada 2.0 for the Samsung S8500 and S8530.

Full topic can be found here: Samfirmware.com
I have just not enough words that Samsung never carry out the promises of the new version and now we can not rely on Samfirmware. Personally I do not deal more with Bada not see any development from now on

today they said that kies can be hacked and 'forced' to test mode, in this mode kies will release also firmwares that are not official and that are under internal test.
Samfirmware said that in the next days will tell the hack procedure...
tweets: http://twitter.com/#!/SamKiesUpdates
This bring us all firmwares nearly a month before release
Slyfer did a thing that is similar, it has only another method, select instead of type.
Every Firmware was selectable and there was many bada firmwares one month before release in my hands
If a done bada test firmware is out kies will distribute it in test mode.
i think that the test mode is to replace FW leaking
but kies is too buggy and i hate it
let's wait and see what hack Samfirmware got for us
best regards
how about the check fus downloader will support for test mode?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=17902335&postcount=15
I have no idea what to enter correct... and not tested yet Kies Test Mode... see here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=17900523&postcount=166
As promised, here is the new version:
v.2.1 - File version 2.1.0.0
* Added ability to download TestMode firmwares
* Let's you enable TestMode in Kies (Please report if it works)
* Sorted model list
How to enable TestMode manually
Code:
------------------------------------------
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Samsung\Kies2.0\FUS]
"Setting_1"=dword:057abb32
------------------------------------------
This is still not 100% confirmed, please report if it works!

If I see this... IMHO you have US device for US market... SM-R805U...
IMHO you can ONLY use Firmware of this EXACT Model Name... nothing else or you create tiny little trouble...
You can brick your device with wrong Firmware...
If you use Google with this Search word:
Code:

You will find your 2 posts...
Try instead this:

Easy things to do... to find usefull infos...

We type funny Code into our Watch:
Code:
*#1234#
This Code is IMHO working in Samsung Phones etc more then 10 years...
B
Active CSC...
User described here 1 easy way:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=81190183&postcount=31
Their are few more ways to identify the active CSC in your device...
Methods like ... I can smell... or I thought I bought it in... are less helpfull in case of identifying what is important for "Firmware update" questions...

TMB Lies.... Again
Update 2/3/2020:
T-Mobile support just successfully pushed R805USQU1CSL2 to my watch

Available January 27, 2020
UI graphical element changes (UI 1.5)

Updated to Bixby 2.0New watch faces
This new version is NOT yet available, don't know who keeps updating their "latest version" page, but they should be fired... ?
Cost me hours of phone time with TMB support then Samsung support, only to find out here that Version R805USQU1CSL2 is still in r&d, not ready for distribution yet... And so we wait. ?

Unknown if you go to T-Mobile Service... maybe they flash CSL2
But B.
I am 100 % sure this Firmware is leaked and ready to use with netOdin.

If trash... you can go back to BSE3 IMHO also leaked and free available as netOdin package...

Thank you for the link, I've downloaded it.
T-Mobile service, at least the people I've spoken to here in the USA don't seem to know much about the Samsung Watch... At all.
I'll wait a bit longer for answers to questions I've sent them. If they still can't help, I'll flash it myself.
Thanks again for all your help ????
I thought I'd give T-Mobile support one more try... 3rd time lucky ? I reached some one who knows their stuff.
They pushed the update to my R805U a few minutes ago.
The update worked smoothly, busy applying the new Bixby update... Then I'll take a look around and checkout the new stuff.
However, I have no idea why the Wearable App would not get the update initially.
Thanks for the help. ??
