Had anyone decoded the region coding in ROM versions?

As it was noted in some of the threads here the last two digits in the ROM version apparently the region code.
So let say even if it is an Asian ROM but one is x.xx.831.1 and another is x.xx.707.1 they are not for the same region(?) and one will not flush over the other without Hard-SPL.
I'm trying to figure out the version coding. It looks, for example, that x.xx.831.1 is for Hong Kong.

that was a Chinese website and didn't described anything
I look at this package completely it was similar to any win 6.5 packages but added the new things such as xna and .... ( the app that microsoft told they will come on wp7 ) So it should be a WP7 package
I not experienced in rom cooking so I upload them for you

the package size is about 150 mg and I compressed it in 50 mg

[Q] extracting firmware from S8500

Hi,
I was wondering if there is any way to extract the firmware from my S8500T handset? I'm wanting to do this as there is no copy of this firmware available and I want it as a back-up in case things go wrong with flashing to other firmwares.
my S8500T runs S8500MBJF2, S8500HUTJF2
any ideas?

Ah do you mean 'Product Name'? In sTune all I get is xxxxxxxxxxxx.
I've manually changed my CSC from HUT (ie. Three Hutchison australia) to KOR but I can change that back if needed...

Yes, correct.
xxxxxxxx I saw several times.
This means NV item 2757 (HEX Value) is empty.
Kies without valid Product Code do nothing.

I'm not sure. But for instance S8500R seems to have problems with normal Firmware... maybe incompatibility.

Hmm, so can I somehow get a valid Product Code from Samsung?
And yes, the S8500T is not compatible with normal firmware, as the T version runs on 850/2100Mhz bands, not the 900/2100 on standard firmware. This is the reason I want to extract the firmware from my phone, as I'd like it for a backup.

today they said that kies can be hacked and 'forced' to test mode, in this mode kies will release also firmwares that are not official and that are under internal test.
Samfirmware said that in the next days will tell the hack procedure...

This bring us all firmwares nearly a month before release
Slyfer did a thing that is similar, it has only another method, select instead of type.
Every Firmware was selectable and there was many bada firmwares one month before release in my hands
If a done bada test firmware is out kies will distribute it in test mode.

i think that the test mode is to replace FW leaking
but kies is too buggy and i hate it
let's wait and see what hack Samfirmware got for us

1)i found here some upgrade guides for similaier models, but not exectly mine, will it still work?
2)if this wont work, so what firmware guide wiill?
3)i really want this update, is there any other ways to get it?

If I see this... IMHO you have US device for US market... SM-R805U...
IMHO you can ONLY use Firmware of this EXACT Model Name... nothing else or you create tiny little trouble...
You can brick your device with wrong Firmware...

T-Mobile service, at least the people I've spoken to here in the USA don't seem to know much about the Samsung Watch... At all.
I'll wait a bit longer for answers to questions I've sent them. If they still can't help, I'll flash it myself.

I thought I'd give T-Mobile support one more try... 3rd time lucky ? I reached some one who knows their stuff.
They pushed the update to my R805U a few minutes ago.
The update worked smoothly, busy applying the new Bixby update... Then I'll take a look around and checkout the new stuff.
However, I have no idea why the Wearable App would not get the update initially.
