Roms and Kernels

Does anyone know if the galaxy watch can flash roms and have custom OS's like on previous generations? Can it use roms made for the gear s3? What are your thoughts on the default rom with tizen 4.0? What would you want from any custom rom?

I am pretty sure roms from the gear s3 will not work. Also why would someone Flash an old rom on a new watch? Doesn't make any sense to me.

I was just wondering whether or not they would be similar. I've seen a phone before that could run a rom from another phone, that's why I was asking. Didn't expect much tbh

Hi all. Can anyone help me with a odin files for the first software of this watch. I am have the next problem:
Hello! Since the new software update earlier this week I am having a problem with my screen brightness setting which I have set at 8. When my watch goes into AOD mode, after the 15 second screen timeout, and then when the screen goes back on again the brightness setting is down to 3. Then I change it back to 8, the screen goes into AOD, and when the screen goes back on it is down to 3 again. Every time. Never had a problem like this before the recent software update, or on my Gear S3 for years. I turned the watch off for a few hours, and then turned it back on, but the problem persists. Has anyone else had this problem, or know how to fix it? Thanks!!!

Can I change Region

Hello I just bought Galaxy watch and I believe it was manufactured in Saudi arabia. I'm missing some apps such as spotify and galaxy app of my phone is in arabic and I can't seem to change that.
Is there a way for me to switch the region of my watch to something like USA so that I could install Spotify. and I know this isn't related but how do I change the region on Galaxy Wearable ? when I acess galaxy apps from it everything is in arabic which is really annoying.

This is not temporary... this is static...
To Reset to "default" you have to know your CSC/Sales Code... and go the same way to choose it...
So I suggest first... identify your active CSC...

@adfree hello... whenever I try to launch SDBstarterKidv1\sdb_2.2.60_windows-64\data\tools --> sdb-run . the window closes immediatly . what should I do ?

Some dude, did you need to change your Samsung account region to the United States as well?

Hi There: Is this procedure still possible - I`m from Germany and we over here can`t use Samsung pay - will it be possible to use S pay after changing the region ???
AND what will happen with the sim card - will it still be in Germany - silly question...

Galaxy Watch SM-R800NZSAXAR Won't boot. Need help With Odin and FW version.

Hello.
Long time lurker, 1st time subscriber here.
I have a Galaxy watch, 46mm, SM-R800NZSAXAR. US version, non LTE. I have it with the latest firmware that was released for it about a month or two ago. I just dont know the serial for that FW version.
My issue is that, the Watch, suddenly turned off, and when i try to boot it up, it shows the "Samsung Galaxy Watch" logo, and turns off again. I can access the download mode, the Odin mode and have even tried the "Recovery" option but this does not work.
I've read on other threads that I can try to re-flash the FW to the device via NetOdin and the right FW version and that MIGHT help getting it back up working. Thing is, i have NO IDEA what FW version to get. I see all sort of numbering but i cannot tell which one should i get, and the information i have come accross is confusing.
So, could you guys point me in the right direction, so maybe i get the proper FW and try to repair my watch? I've already talked with Samsung Customer Support, and they want me to send the device for repair... thing is I'm not in the US no more, and that'd be a real pain in the ass.

I understood the Alphabet reference. I was thinking it had something to do about it but was not sure.
Anyway, i followed your "advice" and downloaded the FW, flashed it, the procedure finished properly (NetOdin said it was successful), Watch restarted, and NOTHING happened. It's still not booting. Just shows the logo and turns off again. So I'm thinking is really a hardware problem. I'm gonna have to send it back to the USA for repairs and hope they honor the warranty.
I still dont understand why cant I buy the product in one country and get service for it in another if it's withing the warranty time.... but w/e.

I have absolutely no idea what happened with the device. It just wont boot beyond the logo.

I'm making arrangements to send it to Samsung US to get it repaired. If all fails, then I'll get my hands dirty again. It's still covered by the warranty, the problem is to get it to Samsung US hands for repair.

I solved the problem with my watch in the following way:
1. Firmware R800XXU1DSL1 (available at 4pda) using the standard method, but you MUST include the Phone Bootloader Update check box in Odin. Then press Start, Odin will update the firmware and swipe a new loader to fix the problem. It helped me, I also tried to repair the clock for 2 weeks with the same problem and wanted to carry them to the service.

Galaxy Watch 46mm LTE (SM-R805U) work in canada LTE (Region change)

HI ALL, I have samsung 46mm watch (SM-R805U) I think it is a USA version, I am trying to connect it to Canada LTE with Telus. I have the service to add a watch with my telus plan, but anytime I tried to connect through the wearable app i get the error that the mobile service for this watch not available in this region.
I did some searching, and I found that I can do the region change through SDB, I was able to successfully connect to the watch but I only get the USA providers options (XAR, ATT..) no other regions networks.
Is there anyway I could have this watch to work on the Canadian LTE, even by flashing the watch or other ways to change the region?

IMHO the magic is minimum in CP part... Modem and/or on device...

thanks, I was able to update the firmware with the one in the link below. I did not have the UI update before but now it updates. Unfortunately the carrier list still did not change, I hope there is away I could change the region of the watch

Hey, so you never tried the firmware in the link? I actually have a 805W and I want to try flashing a different firmware to see if I can force an update. I'm on 4.0.0.0 on my 805W and can't get it to update to newer Tizen.

Simple Homework for you...
Unpack with Tool 7Zip the CSC...csc.img... then look with open eyes.
If you look correct, you will find Scripts for Preconfig...
These Files have nothing to do with the eSIM "Magic"...
IMHO the magic is minimum in CP part... Modem and/or on device...
I am from Germany.
I have not US nor Cannadian nor any European LTE Version...
So I can not do my own studies...
Nobody dump data...
Nobody log data...
Nobody share something...
Nor somebody do some Reversing Modem related...
For GWA2 some interesting files leaked... Modem related...

Hey adfree, I downloaded the 805W (I have this model) and extacted the tar, renamed the csc img to zip and extracted that (with some warnings).
Inside, there is a SW_Configuration.xml, but it only says
Code:
<CSCName>R805FAC</CSCName>
<CSCVersion>1ASA1</CSCVersion>
which is clearly not 805W. Is there another file I'm supposed to look at to see the actual CSC code?

[Help] SM-815U Galaxy watch 42mm lte firmware update

Hi guys!
I have a Galaxy watch 42mm lte type SM-815U of AT&T but I live in Vietnam at the moment.
My watch has a firmware update with code R815USQU1BSL2 of AT&T but I can't check OTA update because I live in Vietnam.
Can someone please help me?

Hello, I have the same problems, I live in Honduras Central America and I have the same model only that it is from T Mobile and it is not updated, I have searched a lot and I have only found two pages where the complete ROM of the R805USQU1CSL2 is ... but it is of payment. If you find any way I will thank you share the information. thanks

Ok! But i did'nt find any way for this issue. If i have something about a solution, i will share it for you.

You may use WIFI NetOdin to flash the latest update.

You trying download via LTE or WiFi...
Because IMHO FOTA Server connects from all over the world...
I am in Germany... for instance... and can download all FOTA files I wish...
So no Country Block...
But maybe not in all countries of the world...

Thank you very much, I've just updated my watch to latest firmware by netOdin.
I only update by netOdin because I can't download via LTE or Wifi.
I think this modem is not support when I use my watch in Vietnam witch mobile network of Vietnam (not AT&T).
