I installed android 4.1.1 (JB), but found two problems:
1º) How to move the applications on the screen? (in ancient android that I had, it was just click options, and I crept shaking apps)
2º) How to configure to make video call?

1: Well as launchers are exactly the same and as I am positive from the information you provided you are using Nova, you simply long press on the app and drag it to the homescreen.
2: Settings > Video call > tick the box that says "always perform video call", then the next time you call someone you should be able to see them and vice versa.

I just installed Sprint's newest VVM app (v T.5.3.0.30) after being notified of an update. I attached it for anyone wanting to try it out. I'm running it on a stock ROM, so not sure if it will work with any Custom ROMs. Mostly a GUI change, and the icon changed from yellow/blue to gray/black.
Enjoy.

Did you just install the apk by opening it with a file manager? Of did you adb push it? Or use root explorer?
Rocking cm9
Any one that would like to know.
Its working on cm9rc1 if you just try & install the apk you get a signature mismatch. So I used Root Explore renamed it vtt-sprint.apk copied it to system/app over writing the old one. Then set permissions, rebooted to cwm cleared cashs then booted & it worked.

Worked fine from the get go for me on CM9 rc1. Just installed the apk, but I was using Google voice so it wasn't an install over an older vvm. Do have the 9016 SMS notifications though so using SMS filter to block.
Also, installed fine over older vvm on my wife's phone running CM7.2, although same issue with SMS notifications.
Well all (most >50%) cm roms r going the 9016 sms txt cuz that built into the stock telcom moded mms.apk

I was so close!
I was going to upload this, buut then I got high... I found it a few days ago with the SD-temp EC09 flash & VM updated. It took forever to grab because I was running off the dang SDcard. I've been running Darkjje's CM10-0808 and ALWAYS get 9016 since I can remember. Great add signal34!
Any one find a good 9016 blacking app for ASOP ROMs?
My ExGF had the LG optimus s I flashed cm7 on it then the phone was useable. But any how the guy that made the build over at AC forums had the 9016 block built into the mms.apk that came with the rom.

According to Sprint the 9016 messages you get is because you have installed a 3rd party voice message software on your phone and you need to uninstall it. I'm not sure how much of it is correct cuz it didn't work for me. You can try see if it works for you. Other than that, there are no workarounds as of yet.
The sms from 9016 is what triggers vvm app to download the vmail.

Any one figure out a way to silence the ringtone for 9016? I can't believe it took untill 4.x with android to have a stock way to assign ringtone to contacts, but its only for voice calls NOT sms & or mms. If only google would pull there head out of there ass & add this feature to android we would not have this problem. I mean ALL MY old dumb phone could have a custom ringtone for contacts.
[Rant]IDK android is cool & all but its like the ppl/devs at google never owned a phone before they started working on android. I mean really how do you make a smart phone OS that takes all the way to 4.x to set ringtone per contact? WTF ! And as far as that goes idk is that really in ICS builds from OEMS & or Nexus all I know is its in cm9 [rant/]

Rooting an android is almost second nature to me? I've only had HTC phones which i always rooted, but the SGN2 is such a great phone right out of the box, that i have yet to find a reason to root it yet. What was everyone's motivation to root? In our current development stage, what will be my benefit in rooting? All opinions welcome, and thanks

THIS.
Plus JellyBomb fixed one of my biggest problems with the Note II, and that was that none of the Quick Settings in the Notifications dropdown were useful for me. With Jellybomb, I can put more useful settings in the Notifications dropdown, and remove the ones I don't find useful.
I also have a custom boot animation. I didn't like the stock Sprint one.
There's also Titanium, which allows me to backup all my applications to my SD card in case I need to reformat my phone, make sure I have a backup of an app that might get pulled from the Play Store, or just back up the app for whatever reason.

There's not many things to complain about and this is a very trivial thing to nit pick, but I hate a feature. I get a lot of mms from my girlfriend as she likes to take pictures, and whenever she sends me an mms with text included, my phone treats it like it's a slide show or a video. It even has a play and pause button on it and there's an indicator showing how much time is left, just like the video player. I can't zoom on the image or move it around at all and I have to save it to be able to zoom or move it. However, when she sends one without text, it's completely normal, meaning I can zoom and what not. Is there a way to fix this or bypass it?

I'm not sure how to edit posts on this app so, sorry for double posting but can some one tell me how to get the cm10 notifications on my stock note 2?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using xda app-developers app
I honestly don't know the specifics on MMS. But just because some os or apps flatten the text and image to a single screen doesn't necessarily make it the proper way. With the slide show view, I see it as multiple media bits sent in one envelope, so it shows me each bit.
I do recall having annoyances with trying to save, but using Handcent, for instance, that's never been an issue for me.

Yep, stock everything. Which is why I'm trying to get the CM10 notification sounds. I asked the notification sound question a while back and someone said it was as simple and someone taking the sounds out of the package or something. I'm really only concerned about the sounds right now as I really miss them. Lol

Do you mean replacing all system sounds, or just the configurable ones without root? If you mean the latter, it should be easy enough to dl them from the cm git, or dl an image and extract from there. Once you have them, just copy to your sdcard and go crazy.

In CM10, the sounds are in the OGG format, so they will have that file extension (they work fine in the stock Samsung Note 2 firmware). If you have downloaded the CM10 zip file to your phone and are able to browse through it, just sort by "File extension" and look through the names to find the sounds you want. I am not familiar with androzip, but if you prefer, you can sort the zip contents by "Path" to find CM10 ringtones in \system\media\audio\ringtones and CM10 notification sounds in \system\media\audio\notifications.
Extract the ringtones and notifications you want onto your Note 2 in the "\Ringtones" and "\Notifications" directories (these are in the stock firmware at the root of your phone, no need to create them yourself). More specifically, on my stock, non-rooted phone, the directories are "/storage/sdcard0/Ringtones" and "/storage/sdcard0/Notifications". Once there, they should be available immediately from where you normally set your phone's default sounds (don't quote me on this part ... it may require a reboot once the sounds are in the proper folders, but I don't think I had to).
I I decided to do a little messing around on my phone today. The lack of Swype features on the stock keyboard irritated me. Lol So I was messing with build prop.
First you must be rooted, second get a Build Prop editor, or something like ROM Toolbox, third be sure to make a back up in case you mess something up.
Open your build prop and look for these lines: ime_trace_apply and ime_trace_menu. Tap one to open it up and you'll see Property Value:false and Default Value:false. Click the selection box under Default Value and change it to true. Save and go back into the build prop.
Do the same thing for the next line. So now both of your items (ime_trace_apply and ime_trace_menu) will read True. Be sure to save Build Prop and reboot. Once you do that, try to use the keyboard.
You should see a quick pop up explaining what Trace Input is. If you don't, then check in your setting and make sure you have it checked. That's all there is to it. I'm so much happier with the stock keyboard now.
*Try not to screw up any settings please!*
FYI - I am not responsible for you messing with your Build Prop, screwing up your device, bricking it or Grumpy Cat coming to your front door, to call you a failure.
***Edit - in the example provided, ROM Toolbox Lite was used. ***

This is very cool! Why would they hide this feature?
I also like the dedicated number row... Only complaint is that the space bar is too narrow (I also have that complaint for the swype keyboard).
I've been using Kii - space bar is wider, and it also allows you to backspace after autocorrect to revert to the original word (if you don't want it uncorrected). But I'd switch to stock full time if only the space bar were wider.

I wonder if they have an agreement with Swype to allow it to be the only tracing keyboard installed by default?

I had this problem too. I ended up using the GravityBar module in Xposed, which happens to have the feature to slide your finger across the statusbar itself to change brightness (under Statusbar tweaks, at the bottom). Works perfectly, no crashes. Not sure if everyone will find this to be an acceptable alternative, though.
Weird cause Swipe was enabled by default on the Verizon model. I actually had to go in and turn it off in the settings.
So funny how the G2 does all these great things yet every version this, this, and that disabled. It would be cool to find a rom that has everything enabled to let US pick and choose what features we want to use.
It's like the AT&T version doesn't have launcher themes. I'm not sure if they even have Keyboard, SMS, or launcher themes. Those are pretty buried too.

Yes it does. I've group messaged several times.
Except I use Hangouts now for primary messaging... although I found the stock SMS app more feature rich (and has the popup sms). Hangouts just has the AOSP feel to it, plus it keeps my actual hangout chats in one place = 1 less icon on the desktop.
The LG Stock Roms are pretty feature thick, its just hit and miss what each variant has enabled. AT&T disables the Launcher Themes?! Some disable Group Messaging?! Some have a QuickApp Stock Browser that is windowable (Verizon doesn't have this)?!!!! Some have FM Radios?!
Just gimme everything please!
