As there still isn't an official 4.2.1 release for the s3 series yet I will continue producing preview builds for those that would like them.
They will be located here
Thanks Casper!!!
Thanks Casper. I've been flashing your builds the last few nights and they have been great. Thanks for posting this here for everyone else.
Please ignore the haters that will inevitably thread crap. Plenty of us appreciate this work.

Thanks for sharing your work.
ROM's been great since you started posting on Goo and still is...Thanks for sharing your work. :good:
THANK YOU
I've been using these AOKP daily drivers for weeks. Amazing how far JB has come! Thank you, and great work!!!
Question: the only "issue" is that it seems that even with the recent improvements to data speed, it still lacks when compared to stock based ROMs.
On any AOKP ROM, I never get the "4g" Tx / Rx speed but immediately started to when curiously moving to Wicked ICS ROM last night (stock based).
I've been reading about CM plans to fix this, especially since M1 is finally out, but don't have a clue what the plan is. From a "butter" perspective, this driver pwns any other ROM I've tried My only issue I've encountered is I want the most out of my data speed.
Thoughts?
Again, good work

As far as I know this problem was fixed on builds as early as labor day time frame. With both cm10 and AOKP Ive gotten "stock" speeds.

Thanks. That's what I read. I saw an improvement, but my phone never showed the "4g" logo at top right when achieving the higher speeds.
Is there anything lacking between stock and CM10/AOKP at this time? I constantly read other forums this week where people say what their favorite rom is. Many always point back to a tweaked stock-based ROM for most stability and battery life. I know that was true for awhile, but as you said, given the labor day time frame and even the stability / speed I noticed, I'm not sure if CM10/AOKP still lacks.
I was also using ktoonsez 9/10 kernel. Batter life wasn't that great for me as I had hoped. Idle drain still too fast for me.
Though, this AOKP ROM was very very stable for me!
Thanks again.

So you're just referring to the 4G symbol in the notification bar? Where AOKP and cm10 has H+? H+ is T-Mobile "4G" and its up to the Developer of the specific rom to add either 4G or H+...hope that clears anything up for you

As far as the 4g logo you will never see that with a CM or AOKP rom as HSPA+ is what Tmobile actually runs on. I've been able to conclude myself through testing different modems with different ROMs that it really is depending on where you are, where you are testing too, and how many people are polling from the tower that you are connected to. Working as a network engineer I can tell you that most cell towers only have a backhaul between 50Mb and 200Mb so take into account how many people live near you and what times you are testing your speeds as well as the location you are testing to. I tested from my home on cell data to a local source as was only getting 4Mb then tested to a source in TX (I live in Indiana) and I was able to get ~12Mb.

That answers it. Thanks casper! I've considered changing the modem too but from what I read, typically it's a marginal improvement / performance hit for most. Just feeling lazy.
You guys convinced me to come back to this driver. Now that even the developer can confirm speeds are no longer an issue, this ROM is not lacking for me whatsoever. Yeah I guess I got fooled by the 4G logo hahahaha!

This is my port of a mix of the Sensation XL and Rezound Sense 3.5 shipped ROMs to the Incredible 2. My goal in making this ROM is to provide a fast, reliable, smooth and stable ROM with added features that, I believe, make it more convenient and easy to use. oh, and, if you like my ROM, please hit the thanks button....
FEATURES
Based mainly on Sensation XL build 1.17.1010.1 with bits from Rezound build 1.02.605.11;
Drellisdee's Sense kernel #21 included, with No Frills CPU for those who want to overclock;
All png files in the main graphics APKs optimized for improved performance plus some "secret" () system tweaks that add to overall speed and stability (will optimize all APKs for next release);
My personalized Tweaks app, which allows many customizations (I'll elaborate later), with more to come;
Redone and hand selected Init.d boot scripts, to increase available RAM and virtual memory, zipalign on boot, make your sdcard read speed faster, improve battery accuracy and more;
Added build.prop tweaks to improve touch responsiveness, force Rosie into memory, use hardware acceleration to drive UI, increase wifi speed and more;
Percentage battery mod;
Bloatware removed with some added (uninstallable) apps that I always find useful;
Removed most of the apps and widgets that are on your home screens after flashing, as most users just remove them anyway;
Ad-blocking hosts file (you can update via included AdFree Android app);
Much more...
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Make a nandroid backup of your current ROM;
Download ROM from here: http://tinyw.in/4sja
MD5: 65b40068a24e5f6204efdb06697de04f
Put ROM on your SD Card;
Boot into clockwork mod recovery and perform a full wipe of your phone, including data/factory reset and cache partition (or use ROM Manager and select wipe data/cache before flashing). YOU MUST PERFORM THIS STEP, AS I HAVE REBUILT THE SYSTEM!!!;
Flash ROM (via CWM recovery or ROM Manager);
Reboot and let things sync, settle;
Personally, I set the CPU to 1.2 GHZ and, in Settings-->Tweaks-->Rosie Options-->Enable Quick Scroll, I use the second fastest setting. I find this provides a good mix of speed, smoothness and battery life, but please feel free to do whatever makes you happy . I've gotten it to bench at 2500 and still be very stable, so mess around a bit.
Enjoy, and let me know how I can improve the ROM. Thanks!
KNOWN ISSUES
Honeycomb lockscreen's graphics are off, Will be fixed in a patch soon...
CREDITS AND THANKS
drellisdee for his amazing kernels;
romanbb and RCteam for the Tweaks.apk, which I based mine on;
newtoroot, RCteam and rmk for their ports of the Sensation XL ROMs, which I ripped apart to figure out how to do all of this;
dsixda for his wonderful kitchens, which saves me a huge amount of time;
chrisDDD for his accurate battery percentage graphics;
All my beta testers;
the authors of the init.d scripts, mentioned above;
XDA Forums, as always;
If I forgot anyone, it was inadvertent, and a PM will see things set straight….
WARNING/DISCLAIMER
This ROM has been used by me and others, and has proved to be stable. However, I cannot guarantee that it is bug free or that will not cause problems with your phone. Accordingly, I take no responsibility for any consequences to you, others or your phone that may arise as a direct or indirect result of flashing the ROM linked to in this post. FLASH AT YOUR OWN RISK, and, if you do not know what you are doing, feel free to ask, I won't bite...
Changelog
2.1-->2.1.1
Fixed call quality issues;
Added .wma support for player;
Fixed fonts in tweaks;
Some minor tweaky stuff to updater-script and init.d ram manager scripts;
2.0-->2.1
Completely rebuilt, based on Runnymede 1.17.1010.1, and Rezound 2.01.605.11
Completely redid init.d script selection;
Added Build.prop tweaks;
Fixed all bugs from 2.0 (except white system UI FC);

You are wayyy too spoiled by NEWT lol.
just about ever other DEV would rather have their testers and make sure a solid build is ready before general release instead of just throwing out a ROM and having multiple bugs. Now this is great for those who want it, but unless you have been around MIKMIK most don't understand that they will most likely have to re-do their set-up the next day or day after and get upset about it, which is understandable, NEWT does an amazing job of killing bugs, he just needs to let the newbies know not to get upset when a full wipe comes the next day. I personally would rather wait for Mr. sk806 to wait for his dudes to give to go ahead and then with much less bugs it makes it easy to pin point the real harder to find problems instead of getting everything set up and then having to do a full wipe the next day..
I personally suggest you get on as many tester teams you can, if you are wanting this, many are looking for guys like yourself who just love to flash flash flash and give results fast. for real you spend the most time on every forum out of every person. it's impressive lol.

That has been my philosophy, stable ROMs that still are on the edge of feasible. Just wanna say Newt is a great dev and guy, and he is REALLY on the bleeding edge, so you take your lumps with that and he always gets things smooth and steady in short order. It has always been that way with XDA from at least as long as I've been around (long time, now). Some devs are slow and steady and some just bust right ahead. I admire both types, but am of the latter.
Anyway, I am a bit frustrated, because the new 3.5 Rosie is virtually un-themable right now, and I likes my pretty matte-Rosie, but, oh well... People way smarter than me are apparently close to getting m10 tools for Sense 3.5 finished (Virtuous Team). Sooo, the ROM may not have matte sense, as usual, until that happens, but I will release the base ROM sans Magnolia skin anyway. Just tidying up all the things you forget when you start from scratch. When the new m10 tools are out, I have the skin PNGs ready to go, so it'll be there soon.
Anyway, I will get the basic ROM out to my testers soon and release next week. I have had a really ****ty year - I have had glaucoma, eye surgery, lost my house and studio in a flood and have just gotten over a flu that morphed into pneumonia. It is just funny at this point, it really is. BUT, I also had my third child in October, my family is safe and happy, and I just want to end this whole 2011 thing on a good note, with my family, my job and my slightly-geeky hobby. I am really looking forward to this.
Sorry for the long post, see you all real soon...

LOL I'm definitely spoiled by newt as his stuff is amazing. I admire him greatly for the work he puts out. I'm fine with waiting, I just see the potential for all the new ROMs coming out and it's exciting. Some newer dev's (to me anyway). I can't wait to see what you got going Steve, and sorry to hear about all the crap happening, congrats on your latest kid. I'll be praying for you bud.

Just to throw in my quick two cents...
Steve has talent beyond many - mostly because of his ability to ensure EVERYTHING WORKS before releasing it.
I used his Magnolia build on the original Inc...and it was the best ROM because it worked all the time every time.
The fact that he is releasing a Sense 3.5 ROM is terribly exciting, because Virtuous (which I have been running for a while now) is great - but Steve will make sure everything is good to go for us US Verizon users out of the box so to speak.
The fact that it will be Stockish Sense 3.5 (without the matte) is even more appealing to me.
Did I set the bar high buddy? lol. Thanks for all of your work!
i hope this rom will support GSM.
Thanks.

I downloaded from Rootz last night and got the same thing on CM9
. Tried twice just to make sure
The developer wanted to keep the kernel as a RootzWiki exclusive. Kind of a silly thing to do in my opinion as it hurts the users to split the community.
Glad to see this kernel make its way to the Galaxy Nexus though. Was a great kernel for the Nexus S. Now we just need morfic

Yeah I appreciate what rootzwiki does for the developers. It definitely favors them, it just hurts the users because they are unaware of these great and talented developer's work that's being exclusive to rootzwiki. Because, lets be honest, rootzwiki is nice to developers, but its not as popular as XDA causing a lack of awareness of releases.
I already feel this because the rom I use gets updated the fastest on rootzwiki. The xda thread of the rom is 1-2 builds behind.
That's just my take on rootzwiki. It definitely makes people go to their site. But I just don't think its right to split the community between the two websites.

There's a second version of the kernel in that thread that ezekeel posted that has less of a ram/gpu/bus OC. He posted for people that can't boot the one in the OP, try that. I'm lucky, I must have a good soc I can run the one in the OP with AOKP 15 no problem.

You can be member of XDA and RW at the same time. So I do not see how this is splitting up the community. You can link XDA threads on RW and vice versa. No matter what forum you are currently on, the other always is only one click away. All barriers you might see that split up the community, are in reality only in your mind.
I agree that it can cause a little more effort for the users since they might have to check two forums for updates. But let me be frank here, compared to all the effort I invested in writing this kernel this tiny bit of extra work for the users is hardly anything to complain about. If you have the time to play around with custom kernels and ROMs on your device, you got the time to check a second forum once in a while for updates.
Wow! Here a last. I will give it a go...

I know you can be a member of both. It splits the community in terms of discussions. Because one forum thread on XDA can be discussing about a bug within the kernel; where on RW, the discussion is about something else. You can fill in the rest of the points.
Pretty much what I said about developers updating their threads having the latest exclusive to Rootzwiki. Some developers don't update their threads and have it a few versions behind and not even link Rootzwiki.
I certainly have the time to visit both forums, no doubt in my mind about that. I visit both, but I mainly "lurk" on Rootzwiki and don't really put any effort into contributing to the forum discussion.
Unfortunately, for some users they don't have the time to go through two forums and view all the forum pages that they weren't able to read then to find out that there's a bug with the current release (or having a outdated thread where it's fixed in the newer version). Pretty much the point I'm making is that the OP thread is not equal to the Rootzwiki thread (or vice versa) in some ROMs or kernels. But pretty much since you made a rule about not having download links on any other forum, it pretty much voids my point but not generally speaking as not all devs follow this.
As much credit as Rootzwiki give to the developers. XDA can deserve the same amount of credit for providing a source for developers to distribute their custom made ROMs / kernels for mass consumption due to it's popular user base.

If you don't have the time to do some extra reading, you probably don't have the time to root, and if you can't afford to do some extra reading in order to quash any bugs that may occur whilst you are using a ROM, then once again, maybe you should stay on stock.
Think about it this way, having certain distributions on RootzWiki will eventually increase their community, which will give users a choice in regards to where they wish to settle to collect their distributions from. There's no point constricting everything into one place, especially considering certain communities really do have a poor reputation in regards to quality of users, posts, content, and hosting. RootWiki I'm pretty sure are also responsible for actually supplying a few developers with devices, which is rather generous in a sense, don't see many communities doing this (most likely wrong).
Not my place to argue this, but I don't think you have a leg to stand on with your argument.

I have the time to do the extra reading. I'm not saying it on my part, I'm saying for everybody else. And not everybody has to read to be using custom ROMs and kernels. That's why there are "nightlies" and "stable" releases. Stable releases are releases that are meant for people who don't have the time to sit here and flash every other release. I myself flash the newest and latest all the time. You can validate this by looking at my posts as I'm a very active poster and help many individuals out with their phones when they're having problems.
Not everybody are addicted to flashing because they don't have the time and they're not always available to be near a computer. This causes a misconception when it comes to ROM/kernel releases (as I mentioned earlier so you can stop directly calling me out).
As I mentioned previously, I respect RootzWiki for what they're doing and I have mentioned this numerous times. I'm not disliking RootzWiki or the developer's choices whatsoever. As much as RootzWiki has for its developers, the same goes with XDA for mass consumption. And that's that, developers and users both go the same way.
Developers want mass consumption for people to find bugs with their kernels / ROMs to have it fixed. The more people, the more chance of stability.
Users want more developers for more production of ROMs / Kernels. Kinda like how XDA & Rootzwiki correlate with each other.
I personally like Ezekeel's work with the lazy governor and what he's done for the Nexus S and I'm really happy to see him developing for the Galaxy Nexus. Just stating my two cents for the casual flashers (yes they do exist) although I'm not one of them. If you'd like to have this debate, feel free to inbox me. This is way too irrelevant out of this thread.
But anywho getting back on topic. Can't wait for this kernel to mature and see what it has to bring to the table. It'll definitely be a good thing overall when the kernel is stabilized then source is revealed for other creative kernel developers to implement the 'lazy' governor and additional features to improve overall kernel performance.
Never mind 10 charr
Its not that big a deal to write a damn book on it. Who cares where the kernel is posted, them more devs the better.
Trust me, the issues have nothing to do with making sure the users see all the discussions and updates. It boils down to the fact XDA is not really happy when someone uses their reputation and brand and web presence to drive traffic to a competing site. Good or bad? I'm just saying, that is why the rules about this subject exist. It's naive to think otherwise.
The other rule is that the Development forum is a place for developers to share their own work. It is not a place for users to post links to someone else's work on some other site. That is why I think this thread belongs in General. But whatever.
But with all that said, I know that Ezekeel is one of the most talented and creative kernel developers working on Android today (I know his work from Nexus S) and I'm very happy his work is available for the Galaxy Nexus now. Cheers!

I am here to offer my spare capacity when I have it to Developers, Contributors, Themer's and Leak sources. I am not here to compete with any of the hosts that exist which would require getting into the business. I have the spare capacity to host a couple of dev's and probably many smaller contributors. Kernel's have little impact for example, but full stock tar's eat up bandwidth pretty fast.
SFHUB is currently the main contributor I am hosting for. Sent out some offers to Calkulin and others to no response so far.
Server Info
The server is located out of an Internap data center in Chicago Illinois to provide even coverage for the continent of North America. I currently have up to 2TB of transfer set aside for donation.
Speed Tests ring out a bit like this from its native Chicago to New York, Seattle, Miami:
Check out Mirror 2 on any of SFHUB's ODIN OneClicks to see how fast you can download from the server.
Donations The server runs off my wallet as well as any donations that come in.
Second Post Contains the Unofficial Mirrors and File Repository

Wow this is generous of you to do. BUMPing so this doesnt fade away. Thanks.
Hey SFHUB how have my mirrors been holding up? Lol maybe ill start asking on your threads when you post a new tar, what everyones dl speeds are XD.

Alright I went ahead and threw the Donation system link up. I was going to wait a bit longer but the arrangment with SFHUB is good and should work out until atleast 2013 as well as having room for more people.
I ask nothing but beyond 2013 I am not sure if I will have the capacity without having to increase it. 20 a month total would increase transfer by a Terabyte. That would allow for more capacity now and guaranteed current capacity beyond the end of the year if it happened to have kept coming in. Entirely optional i recommend donating to the developers and contributors instead.
Added links to SFHUB's threads that have Mirror 2 on them for speed testing purposes for those interested in a mirror.

Haven't had any complaints. I think people with large pipes might be limited at the high-end, but for most everything is working great. Rain offered some space and I figured more mirrors means more robust. Lets us test out some mechanisms too.

As i said in my PM to him I was getting 300 to 500 KB/s most of the time though off peak times was getting at least 750KB/s. Total simultaneous speed while syncing your files I got about 3 MB/s. Pretty decent speeds no real complaint seeing as how under the full load he is taking my setup would slow down at least to that.
I also figure it will take a bit of a load off his server. Which will in turn speed up those who are downloading off his server. Im getting the stragglers so far about 3 an hour usually 30 to 40 Mbps. Actually right after I PM'd mavd i got my peak for a single download so far 57 Mbps or 7.1 MB/s. I have yet to put in a stats system so no real word on which downloads and how many a day.
All these have Mirror2 links to Rain's servers now:

About Carbon
CarbonRom is an aftermarket firmware based on the Android Open Source Project. We are dedicated to fast, stable, and feature-filled roms, honesty and communication with our users, and openness with our code. We like frequent builds, with the very latest and greatest hardware support and fixes. We strive to not only provide you with the best rom we can build, but also to give back to the Android community and our fellow developers. For us, this is about creating something we can be proud of and hope you will enjoy.
Please feel free to look at, build, and use our code on CarbonDev GitHub.
We would like to thank CyanogenMod for their device trees, framework/settings mods and their code that was incorporated into this project. We also extend our gratitude to the devs whose code that we have incorporated. Proper authorship has been maintained and can be viewed on our repository.
Special thanks also go to Slim Rom for some of their features, PA, AOKP, and anyone else we may have borrowed commits from that hasn't been mentioned here. If you feel you have been unfairly left out, please - let us know.
While we make every effort to test these builds as much as possible, we are not responsible for anything that may happen to your device, family, pets, or perception of reality. We ask that you do your part to know your device and know how to recover from problems before you flash! If you have questions, ask your fellow users or ask us in #teamcarbon on freenode IRC.
Features
Simply stated, we can't really list features here. There are too many and they change too frequently, and we now support a truly insane number of devices. Chances are, if you like a feature, we have it already. Seriously.

Support
We spend an astonishing amount of time developing this software. We can't spend much time on XDA as a result, so if you need support, please try the following:
1) Search. Search, search, search. Yes, you. I don't care how unique or important your question is, it's very likely someone has adressed it already. Especially if you're even close to new at this.
2) Read our FAQ, which can be found on our goo.im page linked above. It's new, but expanding fast. Just like us!
3) Ask a question in your device forum. Someone will no doubt try to help you. Warning: this help may come in the form of telling you it's a dumb question that has been asked before. See step 1 - such are the perils of asking questions when you haven't done the research yourself. Android is about helping yourself.
4) Join our G+ Community: http://community.carbon-rom.com This is where we spend the bulk of our time and the best way to reach us and other community members. We update and frequent this community far more than XDA, simply due to time constraints and the convenience of G+.
5) Ask a question on our IRC channel. Connect to #teamcarbon on irc.freenode.net or click here. You'll find several other Carbon fans and usually one or more devs as well. Please be polite.

Remember, every penny you send to us goes right back into the rom. It's used for hardware, server costs, etc - all the things that help us make Carbon better with every release. Your support means the world to us! If you've enjoyed Carbon, please consider a donation toward this goal. Thank you, and we hope you continue to enjoy Carbon!

I do have one question. I just finished flashing the ROM but when I try to download voodoo sound manager from the play store I'm getting the ol this app isn't compatible. I'd there a work around because I really like voodoo.
Thanks!

As for the voodoo sound apk, its not ours to distribute, as long as mods and supercurio have no issue with Tiffany hosting it I don't see the issue..

nice to see this here!
Did anyone install yet, and, does BT call audio work properly, or still have the cm 10.1 issues?
thanks again..
in case anyone is wondering, the delay in seeing the boot animation is due to added support for boot audio. we haven't included any in there, but if you want, you can do so by placing any mp3 named boot_audio.mp3 in /system/media.
Holy S***t this flies
Thank you!!!
Question for those that have installed this does it offer the option to save photos to the sd card with the included camera?
Not to seem at all ungrateful, but - several people have asked without response about the status of Bluetooth in-call audio, with no response from the developer. Before I flash this and begin testing, I have two questions:
[rant]
1 - Is there source available for this build, and will it be shared?
2 - Is this going to be turned into abandonware, as the previous LiquidROM instance appears to have been. It's not been updated since 01/26, and the thread was recently locked without any details from the OP. If I'm going to flash something, I'd like to be at least certain that someone's going to be available to work with me (and others) on fixing the release and that this isn't just going to be dropped when something more interesting comes along.
[/rant]
That said, I'd be more than happy to help out with this, as it looks exciting.

Bluetooth in call is messed up, and probably will be for a while, until Entropy or codeworkx decide to take a look at it. Its messed up, with no insight to being fixed.
1. Source is already published in the OP. Second or third paragraph.
2. Just because a dev locks the thread that means everyone must know details? Let's just say there is no more *team liquid*, Things happen.
The Carbon group has more knowledgeable people involved than liquid.
If you don't need in call Bluetooth, flash. It will see updates. If you need in call Bluetooth ALL AOSP ROMs will have the same issue.

This is the opposite of abandonware, its a VERY rigoruous continuation and overhaul of the previous project. I have spent ~60 hours or so working on this in the last week so flash and see for yourself...we plan on putting out updates far more frequently than the previous team did..
Back to stock rom with root....I got no clue why developer never mention lill bugs like switched of charging animation bug , camera Gallery broken + spen not wifi tethering etc. working at this stage ...
But a tip for users who flash CM or AOKP build .that it still Beta version no clue why Devs do not make it clear for Users on post...that its beta version for note 2 yut...and Note 2 is such a awesome hardware till now that it only worth with stock rom ..support only..like multi window n Spen features rich ...cheers ....fellow Galaxy note 2 users .....No offense to any person just not worth it at all.

My first post was kinda in response to sweeping statements and value judgements made by you about the work of AOSP/AOKP Devs, but anyway...
I've tried pretty much all the AOSP/AOKP ROMs that are currently published on XDA, and the following presented absolutely no issues for me whatsoever in my usage of them:
- SentinelROM
- LiquidSmooth
- RootBox (unofficial)
- Slim Bean
I certainly didn't have any issues with WiFi but, I have to say, I don't give a flying $%#* what my screen-off charging animation looks like, so I never paid attention to it (and, therefore, can't comment on it).

I give No Rats Ass Either .that how and what your Usage is or was .. but wanted make it clear .....and click point Stock is Stock is an Stock is the best as per my scale .... else like its less gay .so wanted to share ...with other Users .though i'm also into Development for Android on other devises ... and do not think CM or whatever rom it worth a even try ....at this stage ...if u wanna kill your phone then go ahead .i'm happy with Sammy's rom...
Cheers :good::good:
I find almost everything satisfiable with aosp such as Slimbean or CM such as Sentinel except for the battery performances. I get almost half the battery life compared to stock based and that about it. However, everything you've mentioned in OP is irrelevant as most of them have been fixed and a few such as battery logo when charging is not important.

Seeing as you're basically copy and pasting your posts from the Rootbox thread into this one, I'll do the ssme:
He's hardly trolling. Do you even know the meaning of the word? It doesn't mean disagreeing.
Why would you expect a rom which has nighties being released to be perfectly stable with every single feature working? Nightly is pretty much synonymous for beta when it comes to ROMs imo.
Also, you have to realise that not everyone's needs are similar to yours. I personally never used multiwindow and rarely even use the S-pen, even though it technically works just as well on ROMs like this (and for my purpose of note taking it actually works better seeing as I can now use the S-pen button as an eraser rather than taking a screenshot)
Also the fact that this is on 4.2.2 and I can use lockscreen widgets is a huge plus over stock for me, dashclock is immensely useful.
Although some parts of it are out of context (see the rootbox thread to read it in context) my points still stand.

In 4.2.2 ROMs we have new features and we lost a few ones. A choice must be done between custom stock based ROMs and AOSP based ROMs.
I often see some claims because S-Pen doesn't work, MultiWindow, AirView... You have to understand what you flash!
Since I tried AOSP I never came back to Stock based ROMs. Atm I have Rootbox rom by Bajee and everything is working fine with one nightly per week.
Concerning charging animation bug, I remember that flashing a custom kernel solved this issue (Redpill kernel I think but the battery life is not very good except of Hyperdroid).
Of course we have bugs on AOSP Roms but don't forget that Samsung FWs also have big issues! SDS & Exynos exploit have been patched a long time after the discovery, Aroma Installer crashes on some Custom ROMs,...
Samsung official products aren't always good too. Just have a look at Samsung Kies which generates a lot of damages!

Why would anyone with more than half a brain expect Samsung specific features like multiwindow or the S-Pen, to work on CM or AOKP? Do you even know what CM or AOKP roms ARE?
Hi everybody. Seeing the presence of many CM/AOSP users here, may I venture to ask for your submissions in the Grand ROM Survey for N7100 in the neighboring thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2232765
I'm asking so that we can have an objective, quantitative measure of the "goodness" of a ROM. 59 ROMs are represented (based on the INDEX thread), with 170 selectable versions.
Please give it a try. Even the OP here can rate his favorite ROM(s).

I know considerably more about Android and Java than you apparently do about making a coherent post, or English.
You really are quite juvenile, aren't you?

Well this thread started off on a bad note and has done nothing but get progressively worse as it went on.
To everyone involved here in the future if you have issues with something posted or someone either report and move on or take it to PM because arguing in the open forums has no benefit to anyone.
