If I'm not mistaken color notes from the play store has what you want, Just dont move app to sd card or you will delete the widget option.
Color Notes are virtual "Post-Its". I too recommend them!
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...apps.notepad.color.note&feature=search_result
There's not a MyNotes apk available anywhere then? I'd prefer to be able to integrate it with HTC Notes.

Maybe, I couldn't install it on ICS. I dont think it's compatible.
I guess since HTC notes has been integrated with Evernote in ICS this is probably why it hasn't worked.
I can't find a solution for your issue, sorry mate.
Again, I suggest you try color notes, I find it very practical.
Thanks for your help, I'll try color notes.

In case you come against what you original were looking for (HTC Note widget for ICS), it would be nice if you mention it here.

I can too relate to Color notes being the darn near perfect app for notes and checklists.
Dayly backup on SD card is included as standart.

The fact that it saves the notes so that you can use them as a shortcut later on, is a very handy feature imo.
Being in the form of sticky notes is very effective, you can't avoid them when turning on your phone

Yeeees, right. I shifted the end-letters for fun ...
I've been trying to work out how the SDK image would work on actual handsets, and the only answer I come to is "crashariffic". If you set up an AVD to run at 480x800, then it defaults to a regular Android skin, but Launcher crashes. However, it works if you set the LCD density to 100 or less - but then it would be unusable on all but the largest of handsets - the Desire HD or Dell Streak, for example.
If I had another handset.. er.. handy, I'd try flashing my SGS with it just to see.

Not a good idea.
But maybe some parts could be useful for optimization or theming.
I wanted to try out the new clock font for the lockscreen.
No luck so far. On Froyo, or Gingerbread it's Clockopia.ttf.
On Honeycomb it's split across two files named AndroidClock.ttf and AndroidClock_Highlight.ttf.
One for vertical and one for horizontal bars. I can only get one to display.
Any ideas on this?
gallery doesn't work too

Nothing will work
The apps were built for a higher API Level, so it wont install without modifications.
You modify the APKs and hope that they dont use any new APIs.

Just read that it will work with 3rd party home like Launcher Pro so problem is in the Home app.
Does anyone have the AOSP gapps as seperate apks that I can install without root?
I loved them on my Sensation and they are the first thing I want to install on my One X!
Thanks in advance.

I can understand why you wouldn't be able to replace existing apps (such as messaging and calendar), as you would need root access to do this. However, would it not be possible to install things like the AOSP Email client? I prefer that to the HTC one!

Personally, I just prefer ICS Halo theme. The main thing I hate though, and this may be because I'm doing something wrong (complete n00b!), but everything in the emails look far too zoomed in - and I can't figure out how to make it smaller! On AOSP, you at least had the ability to pinch-to-zoom on the emails, but the native client only seem to have zoomed and extra zoomed!
check out my thread in my sign and let me know if they install or not..

Email works. I'm not 100% sure it is yours but CWM says it installed correctly when I flashed the zip file. I flashed after installing LeeDroid's 2.0 rom. As soon as I get a chance I will try one of the MMS apps.
Im using the AOSP email app, got it from Modaco. Works perfectly fine.

In my opinion, HTC's the mail & calendar experience on the 1X is simply unbeatable.
If text size is the problem then there are 2 solutions for you:
1. Within the mail app, goto settings, General, and change the font size you want. Whatever you set will be the minimum font in emails.
2. Slide down the notifications shade, tap settings, and goto display settings. Change the font size here to set the minimum size across the device. This will apply to all (or most) UI elements including Sense, app drawer, messaging, mail, etc.
Hope this helps.
Cheers

Download the zip file here: http://goo.gl/ZdlF4
Extract it and paste both files inside /system/app with root explorer (you need root, of course).
Just change the files permissions to match all the other system files (again with root explorer, long press > permissions) - its rw-r--r--
Reboot - thats it!
I even ran the patch for exchange policy removal, worked fine

didn't quite like the list view, and on click which displays only a preview and on second click the article is marked as read....need to check settings to change this behavior....to display previw in list view and open article on click.
need to get used to the bottom icons in the list view... they look all too similar....

Hi, click shouldn't mark items as read. Items are marked read on image button click only (the top rightmost one in item's expanded view).

The Note 20 Ultra is Great, but I would like to be able to change the S-Pen Sounds without having to install another App or a Launcher.
I would likento know where the Hidden Folder would be for the S-Pen Sounds so I can Change the Sound for when it is removed as well as it being put back.
If Anyone Knows this Information, then Please post it here for Everyone to see.
Agian, No Mods, No Apps, and No Launchers to change the S-Pen Sounds.

I'm going to just go assume you'd need root to change the audio files that are most likely located in the system partition.
Do you have the Exynos or Snapdragon variant?
Tried to on the 10+, no joy.
Be nice if there be a Good Lock apk to do this...
It's a new phone.... you're not gonna find a way this soon in the game to do it without some other app. Do they even have root yet for it? Cause those folders you need root to view.

Yea, that was the app I was referring to. Seems decent, just gotta find some good pointers and sounds.
The good thing about Pentastic is you can install it as a standalone, good lock is not required. Pentastic is pretty good fun to use, well worth a try, just to try out new pen removal and insert noises is worth it.
Those looking to add lightsaber sounds to spen, download the lightsaber notification sounds from the zedge and use timbre app to reduce the volume of those files by 50% since they are very loud. 50% less is perfect balance.
I didn't get it on the playstore.. you can down load the apk from other sources.

Everyone is Talking about Good Lock.
What My Original Post was referring to was for being able to change the S-Pen Sounds without having to Install ANY other Apps that eat up Space and Resources.
I wish that by going through the System Files somewhere in Android that the S-Pen Sound Files Can be Found and Replaced for Both taking Out the S-Pen and Inserting the S-Pen.
Hopefully the Sounds are in an MP3 Format and can be Swapped without Any Problems and would stay even after Updates.
