Are there any settings that I am missing to change the icon text color from white to black. I like light wallpapers and it makes the text impossible to read.
Thanks

What I'm trying to do is to make my notifcation bar black instead of the default white. Its truly the only thing that is bothering me from The OEM htc sense rom. Is there an app, mod, or theme that will just affect the notification bar? Sorry for the newb question and please don't flame me on using the search button.

On CM6 Final. Menu>Settings>CyanogenMod Settings>User Interface>Notifications Colors> Scroll to the bottom and change the Custom notification Bar color and the Custom Pulldown bar color. For Black color put #ff000000
Do you have to reboot for the color Change to show up? I did what you said and still is white...

you have to reboot for changes to take effect. I like the white bar over the black one personally but to each his own

I like bright pink... what what. Lol just kidding I like the white one too. Froyo looks sick I am in love with all things AOSP lol. Honestly I find the AOSP features to be far more usefull then the sense stuff. But like you said to each his own.
Can I change my texting back ground so when I open a text the background is black instead of white?? Also can I get my notifications to be clean instead of white?
Sent from my Incredible using XDA App
I'm sure there has to be a way to do this
Sent from my Incredible using XDA App
I use chompSMS, it lets you change the backgrounds for the conversation and the conversation list. Handcent works the same, if you want to try those.
I'm not sure how I feel about them although my battery is dying a lot slower without the white background (I think) I'd like handset a lot more if I could have the icon for it... I think the stock icon just looks better. Can I change icon and name?

Changing the background is probably just an image file in the MMS.apk that you can edit the color you want in. only problem is the text is black, meaning you will have to edit an .xml file which is a much longer and difficult process.
Ok I switched texting apps I just wanna change the pull down notification color now

Im modifying a theme and I was wondering how can I make the edges of icons transparent....
for example, when I tried to color the phone icon in the slider on the aosp lockscreen, the icon became a square instead of a circle and didn't fit inside the slider.... HELP
Thank you in advance....

Assuming you're using GIMP, just make the area you want transparent one solid color, then highlight the area of the image you don't want transparent, , press ctrl+i (to invert the selection you made, so that the area you want to turn transparent is now selected) then click on colors, color to alpha, and choose the solid color you wanted to make transparent, then click okay. The color should now appear as a checkerboard image, and, more importantly, will be transparent when you view it on the phone.
Thank you so much..... this has been boggling my mind all week....

I am looking at getting rid of the color on the lockscreen, so would like to change the icons on the stock lockscreen. I would guess I need to drop a PNG file in somewhere, just no clue where. Can someone help out or let me know an easier way? Thanks. PS I am Running Jedi XP12
The icons in the lock screen are dependent on the apps you have set up. So, for instance, if you want to change the messaging icon you will need to change the icon in the SecMms.apk. Using 7zip, you can navigate to the icon. They are usually found in the mipmap folder and banned something like ic_launcher_mms.
Hope that helps
As for the color on the lock screen, not sure what you mean there.

Thanks, will give it a go. By color I mean I like black and white so the color icons need to go.
Black and white huh? Would be sweet if there were a tw rom that was black and white.

LOL, was on it, And will be back as soon as the home button issue is resolved. It was happening to me more than just from the app draw. Small issue that would not bother a lot of people, but I constantly use it.
Hi guys I'm after a dark theme for my pixel 2 XL. I tried swift dark which looked nice but i had trouble with notifications. When i scrolled down from the top nav bar some of the text was dark so was hard to read. Is there a way of changing notification texts

Use swift black instead and it has black white text fix included
I haven't experienced any problems regarding this theme make sure to reboot after applying
Also black looks more sexy than dark just saying ?
Cheers ?

Not sure you can. I believe it's native to the theme. Does the same on mine.

Surely there would be a setting to enable color change.
Also would nova launcher clash with substratum theming
Aah okay
Now i understand
When you select notification app name option overlay in android system to be app specific that's what make it green for whatsapp because whatsapp has that color as default

So is there a way of changing the color of notification from green to another color? Possibly blue for instance.
If so can you write the steps on how i can do this thanks

That's not possible AFAIK
You need to use a different theme which themes the whatsapp app notification
Can't really know about any theme but you can try themes and if it doesn't work get a refund
Cheers ?
