What do I do now??

So I'm running the AOKP build 35 from and I want to go over to mijjz the 'goodness' but when I try to go into cwm recovery(rogue) I only get the android ICS stock (which I will not re-try) [btw I'm not much a newb to hacking but I'm not an expert either] thnx in advance!

Either. I do mobile. Flash the el26 tar and it will reboot. Hold power + volume up till you get to cwm. Then wipe and flash new rom per instructions of it's op. Good luck.
Edit: most ics roms don't include a custom recovery for a reason. Always Odin to el26 first, it's the safest way right now.

What more detail do you want? Odin the kernel, boot into recovery, wipe, flash new rom, reboot. That's all there is to it

My man, there really is no further explanation here. Honestly, if you can't figure out what to do with those instructions or the other 100 threads, you really shouldn't be messing with ics. I know you've already bricked one, don't make another.

Flashing ics then flashing back to gb

So from my understanding if I were to use sbhub fe10 odin flash I wouldn't need el26 with cwm right ? And lets say that if I were to wanna flash back to gb then I would either use cwm el26 kernel or odin the el29 full restore right ? I feel like I'm missing something...thanks in advance guys

Prl/profile wont update

Phone wont let me update prl or profile.......but i tried in blazer 4.1 and in frankens ego ics rom
So it must be phone?

Try on a completely stock rom like one of sfhubs Odin in clicks. Or it could just be sprint for now.

No go to his fe22 odin one click thread and use that to go to stock twiz. From there update prl/profile. Then you can go ahead and mobile Odin the el26 cwm kernel and ref lash to whatever rom.

I thought since i have gb rom i have to use the el26?
And ive never used mobile odin to flash anything besides a el26 kernel so i have no clue how to flash a completely stock rom

I had that same problem on Frankenstein's last night. No matter what I tried they wouldn't update so I ended up going back to Calk's ROM. And I really liked Frankenstein's ROM and wish I could of stayed on it longer.

You can still flash a GB kernel even though you have a ICS ROM installed. It won't boot the phone completely(it'll freeze on the Samsung Galaxy SII screen on startup). But you can still get into recovery and download modes. That's the benefit right there. You don't need to flash all that though. Which ROM do you want to be on? The part about using Odin to go to FE22 and then go to EL26 has an extra step in it. You really don't need to flash the FE22 before going to EL26.

Ya some of them have CWM or a different custom recovery. What ROM is it that you want to install? What I mean is you don't need to flash to multiple other kernels/ROMs before eventually going to whichever ROM you want.

Go to the dev section and find sfhubs fe22 Odin one click and flash your phone with that. The reason you do this is so you will be on a stock rom where you can update prl and profile. After you do this, using Odin (with only auto reboot checked in top right corner), flash the el26 cwm kernel. Boot into recovery and from here you can flash back to Frankenstein or blazer whatever you want. You will need a computer.
So...
1. Fe22 Odin one click
2. Boot into fe22 stock rom and update prl/profile
3. Odin the el26 cwm kernel
4. Flash whatever new rom you want.

Doesn't need to be fe22, but needs to be stock touchwiz or close to so you can update prl/profile and that rom will let you do so. No problem, I'm ways here to help.

Did you try booting into recovery, wipe cache and dalvik, reboot, then try to update again?

(Q)Can I flash from ics to gb?

Ics to gb through mobile Odin by flashing el26? Or do I have to do it through my computer everytime by odining back to el29 which is what I usually do. Thanks!

Yea all you have to do is Odin/Mobile Odin the el26 cwm kernel and boot into recovery. Then flash whatever you want from there.

you can restore a nandroid backup from el26 but if you are restoring an ics rom you have to wipe cache and dalvik cache and flash an ics kernel after you restore you backup.

Help flashing Jb rom?

I am having trouble with this Jelly Bean rom, There are no install instructions and I dont want to go ahead and flash this on my Epic 4g touch running CM9 alpha 6. Any help with flashing instructions?

Its a kernel, you need to use Odin or mobile Odin to flash the .tar file and then boot to recovery since a GB kernel won't boot an ics rom, from there it is safe to wipe and flash a new rom.
