[Req] - 2-way call recording on nexus - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Hey all devs.
I've searched my a.. off to find any info on this topic for my nexus.
Would really like to know if it at all is possible to do? Had this on my htc phones and it was working perfect.

I was searching for something like this a few months ago. I was also looking for a screen recorder app. From what I can tell, the gnex does not use most of the standard ways of doing things.
Hopefully something has come out by now, or someone will be able to figure it out soon.

Ask in the q&a section next time, not the development section please. Thanks.

U are in the wrong section man. This section is only for development. The rule u have broken is like a man goes into woman washroom. Come on man, don't just barge in a room without looking at the sign of that room. The outcome will not be that easy if u do it in the real life.

CallRecorder does what you want. Just search it.

CallRecorder from sklavex.

1- wrong forum section
2- 9.95$ for the app, seriously? skvalex must be crazy. I was there when it all started on the htc desire forum, it's not even his work, he just made an app back then,(althought the real dev who worked on the project had his own lil simplified app). Furthermore, it was free, then he put a small fee as a sign of support for his work and dedication, which in my opinion is ok, but 9.95$? Come on...

He also made alsa mixer. Wich is required for CallRecorder.
Basically he made call recording on the gnex possible. And before the app was cheaper $ 6.00. It is the only option when you want 2 way recording.

Is the GN going to have it's own forum for the Verizon version?

I think we should have one to.

I think it would be a great idea, it will get crowded real quick otherwise...
Plus there could possibly be some complications from flashing a GSM rom/kernel on a cdma device.

I would make things easier. Hope XDA considers it.

Agreed - a separate forum for VZW GN would be fantastic.
Some people have already asked questions about flashing mods and whatnot for a GSM GN on a VZW GN. It would be prudent to create a separate forum in my opinion.
I find it annoying as is to sift through all the stuff as is, with it mixed together, I can't think of how hard it will be to find stuff once development goes full blast.
separate forum is my vote.
We definitely need a separate forum.
If not separate entire forum, maybe separate subforums for LTE vs GSM, or something like mandatory thread tags that show up in the title (you have to choose GSM or LTE/CDMA right below the subject line and it gets prepended in brackets [ ]).

+ 1. I'm already being super cautious about flashing stuff. There's going to be lots of issues with people flashing the wrong stuff. Wait fo it.

The last few days seems to really show that this is needed.
Please pretty please, mods?
yeop.. agree.. seperate forum.
Yep, I already got myself into all kinds of trouble trying to install the "search icon/menu icon" addon. Turns out, if you have the LTE version you lose your notification bar & all the bottom icons. I'll be far more cautious now, but I'm sure I won't be the last one to try and install the wrong version of something.
They should seperate it like they did for the Milestone / Droid, and have really just a seperate dev section for each phone but otherwise it was a shared thread.

Just bought SGSII

I just bought a Samsung Galaxy S II and I am so excited! However I have to learn a whole new community. I'm moving from a Galaxy S Vibrant. I know a lot of the Vibrant community moved to Galaxy S II so a lot of the stuff is familiar. Do any of you remember the bible (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=771111) that was posted in the Vibrant dev sub forum? I'm hoping to make something like that, or someone with knowledge of the community to build something like that. It's so helpful.
Check the stickies and hope you enjoy your new phone.

When you get ready to ROM....
I would say try GingerSnap, Juggernaut and Bombardier.
One of the best was BeastMod but dude got banned.
Once you mess around and get familiar with the phone...you will probably do what a lot of us have done....go back to stock, root the phone and grab a copy of Titanium Backup and start deleting bloat.
The best battery and performance is stock. Just install a battery manager if you want from the market.
Later.
I have 2 ROMs out be sure to try them as well as the many great other ROMs we have
M&S
Welcome and enjoy, you need a thick skin with this community but once you wade thru the crap, it's actually a nice group of people.

A bajillion. Perhaps one should make a thread entitiled "SGIII TouchWiz apps update status" and then maintain it.

That's pretty mean. Also, unproductive. Also not in the spirit of Android hackery. And adds nothing to the conversation. Much like this comment.
To the OP,
No updates yet. Perhaps you can be the person to maintain this thread as updates about it come out? It would be a great service.
^ yeah that will never happen lol

S3 camera for gnex?

Hey guys,
Is it possible to port the s3 camera for our gnex running jelly bean deodexed on rooted phone?
I would like to try out the HDR feature that comes default on s3.

Wrong section... Expect flaming and whipping...
As for your question, I guess it's possible. I mean I don't see why it wouldn't... We just need the developers' will for that.
I'd also love to see HDR and burst shot from the S3 camera ported over. Not sure about the HDR, though - maybe the GNex camera hardware is just not capable of doing that...
Q&A section dude that's what it is for
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
HDR from market works on gnex.
Doubt it has much to do with the hardware, rather the software.
Used HDR on the spica and took some great pictures. Once you go HDR, regular shots aren't enough
Since its in the wrong section, would a mod kindly move it to the right one.

That would be awesome if someone manages to port it , the camera on s3 looks amazing .
Burst will be nice, but not really important on a phone.
More of a marketing gimmick than a feature i say, if you want burst, DSLRs or other cameras will have burst functions.

yeah, it would be great to have a full screen camera ui, with no borders and all the buttons floating in a 1280x720 display!
the galaxy nexus can not be left behind... :fingers-crossed:
does anyone have any sort of news about this? thanks!
I might be missing something, but I fail to see how this is in the wrong section. He's asking a question about the galaxy nexus. He wants to use the camera app from a different phone but on the galaxy nexus... So it seems to me like the question and answer section for the galaxy nexus is very relevant. But I really could have missed something and I apologize if I did. :/

Sprint Galaxy Nexus help to unroot and

After all the help I got from a really kind person here who helped me root my phone and flash JB, I am now wanting to unroot, unflash and go back to as if it came straight from Sprint. Is this possible and if so is there anyone willing to explain in detail how to do. Also the last thing I want to do is wreck the phone as I plan on exchanging it at the Sprint store. I have had it only a week. Thank you.
My offer still stands if you would like me to remotely assist you tomorrow and help you flash it back to 100% stock I would be more than happy to.

well in this one the moderators are wrong. It is the second time it is cleaned after the OP insulted several people, that were trying to help.the OP. And how was the OP able to open a thread with 1 post and less than a week as a member only?
I thought there were some restrictions in place....

She can open threads... anywhere just can't post in development threads... which is kind of stupid as she can make them.... but thats besides the point.

She is back to stock in case anyone was wondering. I think this should be closed.
