We had the same idea haha

Any word on fixing radio through bluetooth?

This build is gold,
Camera pinch zoom fixed
SMS/MMS over wifi calling fixed.
Not sure about bluetoothi dont have a bt device.
But overall this build is polished and very stable

This build should have everything almost fixed is what I read in another thread...
"BTW this build thats coming is very very stable the "blue screen glitching" and also sending sms/mms over wifi calling is fixed, also no more FC on the setting wallpapers using gallery"... per immunityx
Hopefully it is all fixed and we could finally have some JB goodness without issues until the official TMO release anyways... Hump day present for all... LOL :fingers-crossed:

No Problem:good:
Build is crazy fast and this is with stock kernel and no overclocking.

went through the whole process of going back to H2 stock etc, and FORGOT to run root keeper and lost root. Doing the process all over again.
Is there another way to get root on this build if you lose it?

Deodexed version will be up shortly.. Almost finished...

So far, for all intent and purpose, this is running perfect for me. Bluetooth is great, camera, great, wallpapers, great.

Thanks guys, people are always on top of these leaks. Glad I registered on here so I can be part of the activities now. Been just a long time lurker. Also, thanks wildchild for being on top of everything as well.

so far so good on this one! shutdown animation has been added too.

Not much of a bug, but for me, the 3D portion of Quadrant is black. Also Neocore wont start up. Other than that all the rest of my 3D games and benchmarks (Mad skills MX, Riptide, AnTuTu, Smartbench 2012) work fine.
Edit: Was playing Trial X, backed out of game, and started getting blue flashing. Quick off/on of the screen seemed to fix it.

I found a bug when playing video (like in YouTube) and you turn the phone from portrait to landscape (or landscape to portrait) the screen turns black in the animation

ok this is BY FAR the best ICS experience. I've had every rom and they've all done a decent job but this is amazing. no lag at all, holding home button to pull up recent apps is smooth, swiping to close is snappy, and the browser feels up to date! Im in love again. This + Air Kernel= ICS heaven

Can u pls explain what u did to flash skyics onto our phone? Im guessing its not just flash n go is it?
I've been DD'ing EasyDoesIt ICS rom, especially since the rotation fix came out. I made sure to Darkside Wipe 2x (not that you need to but, I'm stupersticious), flashed the necessary ZIPs and fixed permissions after my first reboot. I have had really no major issues, except battery life has taken a hit, compared to stock, and I've had some FCs of the Gallery. It's nearly ready for prime time. Oh! One more thing. Make sure to try Nova Launcher. I prefer it much more than Apex or Twiz. If I helped, click the thanks button and good luck!

BTW, you can find the ROM here at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1576617

Those using latest AOKP

How does this rom perform and what are some of the main flaws? I know I was with CM9 and i loved it but I had low call volume on the other end and there were a few odds and ends. Can anyone reccomend a good AOKP version and link along with a decent review other than 'good rom'.... thanks will be given.. thank you in advance....

Nope! With the new kernel source that has been out, ever since about 4/3 days ago it has been fixed along with all of that echo & underwater call audio stuff. The newest AOKP build should be nice to use, even with stock kernel although it doesnt have the ability to OC. When Eugene is finished with his AOKP Streamline kernel later, you could try flashing that, as I will.

[DEV][WIP][PORT][4.1] Android 4.1 Jelly Bean JRN84D [6.30.12]

Hey guys,
Im going to attempt to port Android 4.1 Jelly Bean from DaXmax's base and will try to show you the progress I make + photo's etc just to keep you updated.
How am I doing this?
-Use the latest Rom base for Jelly Bean from DaXmax
-Latest CM9 nightly build for libraries, vendors etc..
-Modified CM9 kernel
-Use my brains alot
I will post in this thread daily with answers and that kind of shizzle.
What Works:
-Wifi (thanks to steven676)
-Integrated Root
-It boots
-Touchscreen
-Bluetooth
-GPU
-Camera
-Soft keys
-NFC
-Project Butter
-SDcard
-ADB
-USB Debugging
What Doesn't Work:
-Audio
-3G/Any Connection
-Ambient Light Sensor
-Other stuff I dont yet know about.
Screenshots:
new screens coming in a bit
Status:
Booting and Butter is working smooth like a babies butt
Download:
OLD: http://d-h.st/utf (no wifi)
v1.2: Uploading tomorrow morning, time to get some rest
Thanks to DaXmax ans steven676 for allowing me to work off of their bases and steven676 for the wifi issue!

n00b question...?
First and foremost, thanks for the hard work! Really looking forward to running JB on my NS4G (mostly because of Project Butter, always been jealous of iOS running so smooth and nice, here's our chance!)...
Just wondering, I noticed you and another user, Indirect, are both working on JB ports... are there any significant differences I should know about? (in regards to rooting one ROM over the other?)
Thanks again! Can't wait!
I'm not going to flash this just yet. I'll wait until Wi-Fi or at least mobile data is up and going. Nice to see you're making some fast progress!

Well, on my current setup, I flashed everything one by one, and I'm stable. Not a single SOD/RR. Great battery life. However, AOKP JB is fragile, the only way to know is to test it. I'm making a nandroid right now, so I myself can test at around 3:00 PM eastern and report back by dinner time, lol.

Any RR or SODs?
I promised I would get back to you, so I am. So let me start off by saying that it is SUPER smooth. When I first booted it up, it was really smooth. One bug i found though is that data doesn't work. It says in the notification drawer that it is on, but when try to go onto the internet, it doesn't work. Also, there were no SODs or RRs. I also liked the fact that is a like a "lite" ROM. You didn't add too many extra applications. The data is a big problem for me, so once that is fixed, I will use it as my DD. I went back to the ROM I was running before. I am really impressed that on your first release, it only had one bug.

Thanks guys. I'm gonna test it out this afternoon and hopefully figure it out from there.
Edit : I have a educated guess into what the data problem could be, so I'm going to remove speed tweaks for the net.
As for the auto-rotation not working, not sure what to say about that at all. I'll review it when I get back, I'm highly curious to see if I can resolve these bugs. Thanks guys for testing! Hopefully no SOD/RRs yet for anyone!

Hello Dev, I think you should remove the word "stable" from your heading. It is misleading. But hey, I am sure you will have this rom up and running nicely. great work.
Why do people keep complaining that is isn't stable? It is pretty stable. I used it for around 20 min. earlier today and no lag, no issues (besides data). It is really nice like I said earlier. Perfect for people who want a ROM without any extra apps.

Edit : Rev 01 should fix the problems. If not, I should have it all fixed by tonight. I'm typing this from college right now, can't wait to go flash it though. AOKP is buttery smooth with great battery life. CPUSleeper + tweaks = even more performance.
However, the biggest two killers you should be wary of are 4G/3G (data) and high screen brightness.

Because it is based on source that has SOD and RR. There have been no core framework or kernel changes, so it inherently has the same issues as the source it is based on.
BTW: SideKick...good job. keep up the good work.

Honestly I dont get why you guys put all these unofficial builds out all the time if they have SOD and RR in the first place.. Great, you can compile a ROM from source that's got broken kernel problems and patch mods in. Well, seeing as up until very recently team_kang was only releasing builds on a NO ETA cycle. The nightlies give people something to flash and tinker with. Code is merged every night from the team, so we (people lik erik, myself) release nightlies for the community. Now, Sidekick has taken things a step further by providing yet another option for the thankful members of XDA to flash. If you have no intentions on flashing the rom in the OP, i would suggest you move along.
Choice is yours, but I doubt that OP appreciates someone trolling in his thread.
OP updated. Fixed most bugs.
