Anybody know or want to figure out the setting we need to plug in to adobe lens corrector for our phone

I've been using Photoshop and Lightroom for years now. You shouldn't have to correct the camera's stock lens as it generally provides no distortion. However, if you don't like the look of the output, you could download/buy Lightroom and setup a custom profile. This also may be possible in a CS6 as I only have CS5.

Maybe I held the phone crooked when shooting. I was trying to design a sign by using the picture from the phone and a square in the picture was not square on screen so I assumed it must need correction I drew a square on top of the square in the picture and could not get them to line up

I want to know if there is any script that can activate the zoom in the camera, for me is an important function in the phone, or if someone recommends a functional application in the Xperia Play
cropping your pics after u have taken them will give u better quality or slightly better quality pics instead of zooming which can't be implemented in the stock camera apk
And that goes as well with a third party app like camera zoomfx. Just bought the app thinking there would be a zoom function while using the camera.

You just need to change the zoom type in setting to zoom number 4 (i think)
It zooms in then

It's definitely Zoom type 4. Though, the picture quality is really bad with digital zoom. You're much better off cropping a 5mp image, if quality is a concern.
Will try that Zoom type 4.
Does this just happen when you take a picture with the front facing camera does it vertically flip the photo meaning the inverse? Thanks

Naturally, it's the natural image that camera takes the pictures. Most of cameras have the function to reverse the image, so the final image shows the objects just like what you see. If the image from your camera is inversed, then it means that something has been changed on the camera option or intentionally not reverse the image.
Very old camera shows the image like that...
I changed no options is this just something the device does?

Which app? do you mean Stock Camera app?
[Update] never mind. I just tested it out and found the issue in here.
The stock camera does not reverse the original image even it shows reversed image on the screen.
So, one step missing on front camera app. This should be fixed on next version....
During the time, if you need to reverse the image, there's a workaround. Go to the photo editor and select the image taken from front camera and apply the 'reverse' by clicking the arrow icon heading left side....
Thanks very much just making sure because I was like why is the image flipped!

It seems that it's very capable of taking excellent pictures, especially in well-lit situations, but is inconsistent... especially if it's low light and the flash has to come out.
That's something I'll like to pick it up. Now, I'm pretty sure ready let go of my DX for RAZR M. My DX couldn't capture more colors on the sky like RAZR M does.

Inconsistent, but decent, pictures.
This is kinda what I was referring to on the inconsistency, especially with the flash.
Pic #1 - if I hadn't blurred it, you could see how the flash completely washes out her face... I have numerous other examples of how the flash does it, extremely bad:
Pic #2 - exact same lighting, flash, etc. (obviously she moved a bit, but still basically in the same spot), and while a tad on the dark side, at least it's not washed out... again, if it wasn't blurred you could see her face very well:
This makes me think that it's a software issue that could be easily tweaked to fix - like it's not adjusting in time for the flash, or over-compensating at times. Just a guess though...
Normal pic of sunset:
HDR pic of sunset, first attempt:
HDR pic of sunset, second attempt - again, just inconsistent - much more like the 'normal' pic above:
But then, in decent daylight, in a moving van pointing backwards, it'll take a shot like this, which comes through crystal clear and pretty accurate:
So who knows...
Took a pictures today of a lamp in the dark room. Top with HDR on and bottom without HDR.

Took several more pictures. So far, I'm happy with it.

Is there a way to mod the camera so your can manually focus the shot? Sometimes when in macro mode it over focuses and the image is still blurry.
Thanks

not sure if this is what you were asking for. simply touch the spot on the screen where you need focus before taking a pic?

No that just tells the camera to focus on a specific area of the screen. What I'm wanting to be able to manually adjust the amount of focus on an image

ok, you need "focus ring" like capability. I am not aware of any cam app that can do that. i don't know whether the camera firmware provides interfaces for such (low-level) functionality, but an indirect method would be to use a reference ruler in the pic for gradually adjusting focal length ( still a pain, I know).

Every time I take a picture using the flash, the pictures have a come out dark and with a blue cast over the whole picture. I have checked the settings on the camera and even tried resetting everything back to defaults but nothing seems to help. I know I have used the flash before and didn't have this problem. Does anyone have a similar problem or a fix?
Do you have a case on with a large bezel around the camera.

No case on the camera. I am using the OEM battery door/flip cover though. Could that do it? I'll try taking it off and taking a picture.
