Can you grab the file name please?
Open up the log files (using a text viewer) located in /cache/recovery/ and search for a file name ending in .zip. Thanks!
Still nothing here on my JRO03C.I9250WXLH2
Still nothing on my JRO03C.I9250XWLH2 either
Meh I didn't want to wait so I just changed the build entirely 2 months ago to Takju which gets the updates faster.

As the title says, I've been checking almost everyday and I just want to make sure I'm not the only person with a google build that's not updated? I'm not seeing any more posts about it so I'm assuming everyone else is all caught up.

Yep. Still on ITL41F. I think they stopped the update distro to make some further fixes. We will probably see a new build released sometime soon.

Same situation here. I made a thread about it yesterday. Glad to know it's not just me.
Same for the 2 GN's at my house. My guess is the 4.02 distro won't be restarted and we will get a 4.03 roll out instead. They've done it this way before when they had updates close together.
My phone still on 4.0.1

Same here it f'ing stupid that they haven't kept the update live when there is such a massive bug present in 4.0.1 for us.

I feel like i'm part of the club now, first time the bug has seemed to affect me...make a call (funnily enough when i had full H signal bars) and it switches to 2G and lowers the volume to near silent...it's quite fun really when the phone goes laggy from it!
Why does the volume fix not seem to be coming through now? :|
yakju itl41f xxkk1 still on 4.0.1 in canada british colombia
I'm on the ITL41D too, still 4.0.1 and volume bug..
Will I get the update if my phone is rooted and unlocked?

You sure you got a Yakjuxw version ?
This morning I received the 4.0.4 OTA. I am on yakjuxw.

This looks like a scam to get your CC info or bank acct info. Whatever you do do NOT click the link attached. There are ways out there to fake an email address. So it is very good you asked first!

Nailed it. Plus it would say android 4.1 since it is gsm. And that 855#..... yea. Total scam. I'd report it as well

I long pressed the links and they are to official Google support pages and that number IS the Google support # which I have used several times because of my Nexus 7 issues.
I got the same email.....but I got mine the day I set everything up on the phone. Same thing happened with my Nexus S. Maybe they were just late sending the email to you.
No, the issue is that I got the one for my nexus when I got the phone but this is for the GSM version and I have the LTE model.
Ditto. I received one when I set up my VZW nexus Thursday night and another when I set it up on JB last night.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
it's because you flashed to jellybean before it was officially released...we used a gsm port.
People this is legit email from Google. They send this to all takju (play store) nexus devices. I got that also when I flashed to takju
Swyped on my Galaxy Nexus running AOKP nightly with Franco Kernel, overclocked to 1.4GHz
I've had repeated welcome emails after clearing the Framework data (to try and grab OTAs early).
The email being resent should tally with the date and time your phone shows up on your Google dashboard.
Haven't received any such email. Using gnex from Google play
- sent from gnex
I received the same email about 30 seconds after the JB update from ICS, and that was about 2 minutes after turning my GNex on!
I bought from eBay (new, sealed) so do not know it it was a Play Store purchase, but most likely.
I got my GS3 On ATT from a preorder and i've never once recieved an OTA, im completely stock never rooted or used any custom roms before. When i go to settings>about device>software update, i get Communication failed, the server is currently unavailable your device will automatically check for an update in 48 hours.
I did some googling and found a guy back in july that had the same issue and ATT replaced his phone.
Never had a single issue with my phone before. Is the phone defective because of this? Is there a quick fix?
Honestly don't know.. I have a friend at work that is experiencing the same issue .. my phone received all updates with no problems.
They obtained there phone from BestBuy .. told her to take the phone back to them and show them what going on. This was this past Friday .. so Monday (tomorrow), I should know what BestBuy did for her.
Mine always says that too

have you tried kies?
Updates are based on priority of the IMEI. So this week can't get update but next week you can. It's how they (att) stop the download from being congested.

The update isn't available through kies, I'm thinking about rooting but i might as well just wait for the 4.1 update.

This I don't believe one bit .. the girl that I was talking about in my previous post .. she was still on I747UCALEM .. she got hers the day they were released .. never received the update to I747UCALG1 or the newest one I747UCALH9.
My Garnet Red version came with I747UCALG1 already installed (box has sticker on it stating "updated") .. and I received the LH9 the same day it was released OTA.
The fact that her phone is MISSING not 1 update .. but 2 .. tells me there is a problem with the phone, not AT&T sending out OTA's by IMEI priority.

If were taking a real guess, i'll say March 2013.
Yeah I said around February or March as well.
Thinking positively: Verizon "has to" test the update to make sure it's up to their specifications. If they work on it quickly and start immediately perhaps mid-December.
Thinking realistically: They won't test it immediately, or testing will take longer than a month. Feburary or March as stated earlier.
Thinking negatively: Verizon already had a fire sale on the Galaxy Nexus, they want it out of stock and unsupported ASAP. Testing never begins and an OTA never occurs. Verizon twiddles its thumbs wondering why Google no longer wants to work with them.
Probably never... which is why I'm switching to T-Mobile as soon as I'm off contact (if not before, not sure how steep their cancellation fee is)

4.2 is/has been released to AOSP. You can wait on vzw.... but our talented devs will have ROMs based on 4.2 out way sooner than one could speculate about vzw. Custom and stock flavors to your liking soon

The Dev's here I believe had 4.1 on the Verizon Galaxy Nexus about 2 days after it was released.
I just saw a 4.2 AOSP ROM posted on the "other" site. There aren't any linked GApps included though, so there might be a few things missing until a new package is created.

Yes, and the OTA hit the Nexus about 8-10 weeks after some of the first "usable" firmwares started rolling out from developers, especially CM10, which devs jumped on fairly quickly.
My question...
How soon from release will AOSP become usable firmwares that devs can release to the wild?
You would think it would be fast, but I beg to differ. One compound word........ Roadrunner.

It took Verizon approximately 2 months and 14 days to start OTA'ing 4.1. So my guess would be...January 24th.

Yes please to that! I am also a Verizon GNex victim and was thinking the same thing! I'm switching to T-Mobile and getting a Nexus directly from Google from now on...when I can afford it. This Verizon behavior is too much violation for me.
March sounds like a good estimate, it's sad. I contemplated leaving them too.
Instead for now though, I just went and unlocked/rooted/flashed MMuzzy's AOSP rom and it's rock solid. No more waiting.
We will see the update, but since Verizon is sunsetting this phone, I expect it will go the way of the other "Nexus" device Verizon had...the Motorola Xoom. Once a device becomes a non-priority at VZW, basically they'll test the updates whenever they get around to it, thus the updates take longer to test and approve than they used to. Sadly this is what happened to the Xoom. The Wi-Fi version got 4.1.1/JRO03H in July and its final update to 4.1.2/JZO54K in October. The Verizon version is still on 4.0.4/IMM76L and Motorola doesn't expect Google's 4.1.2 OTA to be approved by Verizon until some time in Q1 2013.
That said, the Galaxy Nexus almost certainly sold exponentially more units than the Xoom did, so hopefully that means the Galaxy Nexus won't become quite that much of a bastard child. Time will tell.
With all that in mind, Vegas currently has the over/under on a 4.2.1 OTA at February 1. I'm taking the under. I say mid January... assuming Google can cool their jets on the update schedule. If a 4.2.2 OTA comes out before Verizon approves 4.2.1, our wait counter starts over. That's why the VZW Galaxy Nexus never got 4.1.2/JZO54K or 4.2/JOP40C. They came out too fast. 4.1.2 came out in October, followed by 4.2 in mid November, followed by 4.2.1 two weeks later.

Maybe Verizon nexus owners will see 4.2.2 first on this round. Wouldn't surprise me to much, since the testing team tends to get a lot of subtle tweaks made (we are on JRO03O and not version C like the takju/yakju variants). At worst someone should be leaking some version in the coming weeks.
