S Memo Sync - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

I've tried syncing to both when I wipe/flash a new rom and I've had trouble with both. Neither one can seem to restore my notes correctly as well as including duplicates. Which one do you guys sync to? Is there any tricks I'm missing?
And I've seen that they changed the calendar and notes on jelly bean tw to the same names as the apps found on the note 10.1. Do you guys think these will finally be able to sync notes between phone and tablet?

Try evernote, works perfectly for my needs. It syncs to a free 60mb storage.

If you go into the root of your phone you could find the smemo folder and just copy it onto your external card.. after a flash, put it back.

I would suggest Gtasks as the closest and simplest note/task to the memos app but with sync.
You can try the others like Springpad, Wunderlist and Evernote too but I think they're overly complex for what you want.

JB facebook sync workaround

Okay this isnt a complete solution for jb but if you use Facebook for alot of your numbers then this will work for you. Unfortunately for now haxsync doesn't sync numbers just pics, statuses, etc etc so what i did was use an app called super backup: sms and contacts and backup contacts in an ics rom that supports fb sync then flash the jb rom and restore contacts with the same app. You should have them all and it actually makes them into regular contacts so you dont have to use fb anymore for them. If you want hq pics then use haxsync or any of the other fb picture sync apps

Nice find, I wish I saw this while I was still on ics. I made a post about this a few weeks ago but didn't get much input
Thanks

Np and hey you can just backup your current setup and then flash an ics rom that has fb sync and go back to the backup. Itll take maybe 30mins max but its worth it if you need the contacts like i do

I might just use my old sgs2. Sync the contacts there and copy over to my nexus

that works too lol
Thanks for the info
Np. Glad i can help

Another workaround:
I was going to start a new thread on this, but since it's my first post I feared getting flamed..
So, here's the best workaround that I've come across for phone number syncing for Facebook on Jelly Bean..
1. Go ahead and sync your facebook contacts by clearing the Facebook app cache and adding your Facebook account to your phone. It will ask you to sign in, and then it will sync contacts without phone numbers.
2. As you try to dial someone's number and you realize that it's on Facebook instead of Google, open up the Facebook app and search for that contact by clicking the "three horizontal line" icon on the top left.
3. The contact will have a phone icon next to their name if they have their phone number stored on Facebook. Go ahead and click the phone and it will bring their number up in the dialer.
4. On the bottom right of your dialer, click the "three dot" icon and select "add to contacts". You know what to do from there.
It's not the best solution, but it's the best i've seen so far. You won't have all of your contacts at once, but you can search for the ones that you know right off the bat, and then search for them as needed later on.
Thats a really long process lol i have over 300 friends so that would take forever. My process saves you alot of time and has the added benefit of turning the fb contacts into regular Google contacts.
Also haxsunc doesn't sync numbers so alone it was useless to me lol

All of your facebook contacts can be dialed directly from Facebook. So just keep them on the facebook app until you need to dial a specific Facebook contact, and then take the extra 2 seconds and save it to Google contacts before you dial it.
Plus, I'm sure everyone doesn't need that weird kid from science class from the 7th grade's phone number. This way you can pick and choose who to add as you need it.
Even if there is eventually a way to sync every facebook contact, i much prefer this method.
Thank you for the tip

Google Bookmarks gone from SGS3 browser

I recently formatted my AT&T Galaxy S III SGH-I747 to factory to get a fresh start in the mist of rumored Jelly Bean update coming soon. I synced my phone with google to get all my app data and profiles and such. Some reason my bookmarks I had saved to my gmail account are not only gone but I dont have the option to save new bookmarks to the gmail account. Anyone know how to fix this? Saving bookmarks locally on phone isnt enough for me. I thought syncing them with google was enough.

galaxy note 2 auto sycn with evernote

Hi
the new (at least to me) S Note app on the galaxy note 2 is amazing. While it thos have evernote support it seems to not save my loging info requiring to type it each time i wanna sync to evernote.
I do something similar with my notes(the notes folder where snote saves to on my device) and dropbox so that once im done with a note it syncs to my dropbox
I want to do that but have it go straight from Snote to evernote without much hassle.
Any ideas?

S Note erasing notes when syncing

After flashing a new ROM and opening S Note, I see all my notes for a second then a dialog box pops up and says syncing. After about 5 seconds all my notes are erased. I have a nandroid backup and all my stuff backed up through Titanium, but no matter what I seem to do they get erased upon opening S Note for the first time. I've tried turning airplane mode on first, deleting the Samsung account and somehow it still syncs and deletes all the notes. Since I have this backed up, is there any way to extract the notes from either the nandroid or the Titanium backup? Thanks!

Are the notes not synced then on your Samsung account? I know little of the SNote sync functionality, but if they are properly synced to your samsung account up front (this of course assumes things are working on samsungs end) all should be well. On the surface it sounds like there are no SNotes stored on your samsung account so it is syncing an empty SNote list to your phone. I am of limited help on this though - sorry!
Is there an s Note folder in your internal sd card? I don't have a Samsung account, but when mine syncs that what it us syncing with. It's basically just updating the app

Yeah the folder is empty. I'm assuming it erased all of it, and a nandroid backup wouldn't include those files. I had turned sync off before because this happened in the past, and sure enough I accidentally enabled s note sync in this most recent flash and it erased them all instead of copying them to the server like it should have. Grrrrrr. Thanks though, I guess they're all gone permanently.
Do you all use sync? I also turned it off because of the massive wake locks it was giving me.

Cyanogen mod 10.1.2 and Facebook contact picture sync

So this past weekend i rooted my phone using cf autoroot and Odin. I sucessfully rooted my phone and then flashed Cyangoen Mod 10.1.2 onto my phone with no problems what so ever. Everything went very smoothly and had no hiccups along the way. The only thing that i have noticed is that my facebook contact pictures have not synced up with my phone's contact list. I went into the facebook settings and made sure that the contact sync option was selected. Even after i had hit Sync the photos were not showing up for the contacts. I am doing something wrong here? Or did i miss a simple step that should have been done? I am not sure if cyanogen mod supports this or not, but any and all help is greatly appreciated!!
You'll have to use something like Friendcaster or Ubersync or use a rom with the fix built in (e.x. Rootbox). If you search you can find a flashable fix, but it wouldn't work for me when I was trying CM.

I use HaxSync. Syncs contacts, calendar, everything. Bought the $.99 paid version. Haven't had a problem.

I would highly reccomend Ubersync. Works great!!
