HTC Sensation cannot flash splash1 - Upgrading, Modifying and Unlocking

I am sorry if this has already been addressed else where in the forums, but I have been looking for a few hours and have been unable to find a solution. When attempting to flash a new splash screen I get the following:
sending 'splash1' <1012 KB>...
OKAY [ 0.356s]
writing 'splash1'...

Any advice or help is greatly appreciated. Thank you

BTW - how did you get the 1.29 HBoot unlocked?

[Q] flash splash1 and is S-ON or S-OFF

Hi noooob - first post
HTC Desire with SLCD O2 UK ROM froyo (2.2) and GSM I gather.
I have used unrevoked 3 to enable me to free up more space by using Superuser and a2SDfroyo.
This all work well I know there is better out there and I'm toying with the idea of installing a new 2.3 ROM.
Now I have tried to change my O2 splash screen but i get the error signature verify fail:
fastboot flash splash1 htcsplash.img
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
T:\Build\android\sdk\android-sdk-windows\platform-tools>..\tools\fastboot flash splash1 htcsplash.img
sending 'splash1' (750 KB)... OKAY [ 0.124s]
writing 'splash1'... INFOsignature checking...
FAILED (remote: signature verify fail)
finished. total time: 0.212s
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am unsure if this is my problem but I have superuser of which I thought was synonomous with S-OFF
but I note that when I boot into bootloader that my details say S-ON or does the SHIP S-ON simply mean that the phone was shipped as S-ON

I'd also like to know if altering the splash screen is reversed, with a restore of the O2 stock ROM, incase of a warranty requirement.
So 3 Questions really:
1. How to flash my splash1
2. Can I restore the O2 splash if warranty required and will the RUU for a stock rom do the trick
3. Is my S-ON or S-OFF
I have lots more questions but i'll carry on surfing the forum for now.
You need to be S-OFF to do that
Thank you EddyOS.
OK - so Superuser by using unrevoked3 has not installed a new hboot that switches to S-OFF, I'll need AlphaRev for that I guess, or another ROM that replaces the HBOOT for one that'll switch S-OFF.
Will an original RUU O2 rom will put things all back if I need to return to HTC if it develps a fault whilst under warranty. I think the answer is yes just would like a confirmation so that I a little more confident about how these great devices work.
Yes, use Alpharev to gain S-OFF so you can change your splash.
And yes, running an O2 RUU will get you back to stock, no root and S-ON.

the main thing is don't freak out, cause even in the worse case, all you have to do is send your phone and US$40 to that famous dude here in the forum who un-bricks anything!
so i tried to run the Stock GB PC10IMG file on it, and i guess apparantly its still too old so its wont boot through. Is there a latest version of the PC10IMG that i can update it to?

With S-ON, I don't think you'll be able to push things via adb; that being said, pushing a new radio via PC10IMG or adb won't fix this.
What steps did you take to wipe the device.

[SOLVED] Relocked One X, RUU 1.29.110.11, Stuck in Fastboot, Cannot Re-Unlock

Hello All,
I have a T-Mobile UK HTC One X. Couple of months back, I did unlock the boot loader and rooted the device.
All were going ok, for some reason on a crazy night, I decided to install some new roms which required Relocked Bootloader.
Only after relocking, I got stuck in Fastboot mode.
The device won't charge, can't get into recovery, fastboot recovery flashing fails. Is there any remedy? Worst of all, I don't have the Unlock_code.bin from HTCDev website which everyone refers to for re-unlocking.
my firmware version is 1.29.110.11,
Last two days, I have been going through almost all of the topics and posts relating to re-unlock/relocke of HTC One X.
If I had the Unlock_code.bin, i would have sorted the mess out, but dont have that, any idea guys?
Please help.

Terribly sorry mate, got your comment wrong way. I now requested and receieved another Unlock_code.bin file but, this time it seems battery is running out. As I mentioned before, the phone is not charging up properly.
Any guidance? Sorry for being a pain!

Apparently it was problem with low battery. I rebooted to recovery, Clockworkmod 5.8 which lets charging the phone.
After about 12 hours of charging when I tried to flash , it works. However, insercoint/ordroid roms dont work though.
Currently happy with CM10 and JB4.2 port.
I seems to me that this
Error Code: 160.
Error Reason: MID Not Allowed
If mentiond ROMs are JB based you need to upgrade HBOOT - your version is 0.94 and the latest is 1.39

Where did you get this info from ? He is not the same guy as the OP. The last post here was on 26-11 .... last year ! I'm guessing the OP has sorted this out already because he changed the threadtitle to (solved)......

No I don't have a custom recovery.
I found a very simular treat as mine - http://androidforums.com/htc-droid-incredible-2/686352-incredible-2-unusual-boot-problem.html and I'm following it.
Now I have the problem with unlocking the bootloader with HTCdev.com when i paste "fastboot oem get_identifier_token"in the comand promt i get an error:
[ERR] Command error !!!
OKAY [ 0.009s]
finished. total time: 0.009s
I will try to fix it later today. If you know any easy trick to fix this error, please let me know.
Try rooting the phone with one of the sticky guides here on xda (prototype's is pretty all encompassing). I agree with chillybean, you probably need a boot.img. Rooting will help you install one.
