Try iris from the market. It is free, and i think you will like it, but i believe it is still in alpha.

Android's had a Siri-like app since the G1 on Day One. It's called "Google Search." :3

Try Alice. Its pretty early in development but promising.

I know right! Amazing how apple blows something so rudamentary and "done before" way out of proportion and then claims others stole the idea from them...I predict 2012 will not bode well for apple...and google has something up its sleeve for 2012..

"Dragon Go" app, if you're rooted and using "swype" it automatically shows it under the "other apps" section in the latest ota from Nuance(company that bought/owns swype). FYI, Nuance & "Dragon" are the developers of "Dragon Naturally Speaking" software, the #1 dictation software on the market today-and are also the company Apple contracted to help build "Siri" for them(so I'm told-have not confirmed personally though). They're software is amazing on PC, phone is no different-haven't found out if dragon dictation can be done through Dragon Go to PC yet though...

There definitely are but its not smooth by any means. Also I heard the voice search doesn't work. Try and do some searching and ill look for the links, I think I saved them somewhere

Google now works on ics roms. Albeit slow. Voice works perfectly. Do a search on xda for Google now ics and you can find the. Zip to install

You can get Google Now for ICS in this thread: [MOD][ICS] The Google Now for ICS Project [ARMv6 & v7]
I've been using it for a while now and it works pretty well, although not as perfect as in most of the youtube videos you've probably seen of the JB version.
For the Vision you need the ARMv7 version.
Google Now is not available for GB and probably won't ever be.

[Q] Google Now on JB

So Google Now is only available on Jelly Bean devices, and now iOS. However I thought I would try a JB Xperia ROM, which recognizes my device as been an Arc S, which makes Google say 'incompatible' when you go onto Google search app / Google Now.
So even with JellyBean it won't allow official updating on this and similar devices, so 2 questions;
Is Google Now worth having if it constantly says 'update' at the top of the feed? (it's annoying seeing it)
How are developers for 2011 Xperia devices going to bypass this, having to update their ROM just for a new Google update? Or use a non official Xperia ROM, or use an official Xperia ROM from the upcoming devices?
I know it sounds lame but I would consider changing phones because of annoyances like this, which isn't what I want.
This annoy anyone else?

When I used paranoid android it made out my phone model was something like ST25i or something, so I could freely download Google now on that Rom, problem was it wasn't a great ROM, performance wise and no Xperia stuff, YouTube and flash content wasnt really usable.

problem with aokp playing arcane legends.

Hey, I am a new user of android devices and have been using the aokp software 4.1.2 and i really like it. However, when I try to download arcane legends from the play store it says that my device in not compatible with the software. I happen to know that this game usually does work on a nexus 7 and i was wondering if there is any way around having to go back to the stock ROM to play this game and possibly many more apps. I would like to know the reason for thos happening and if there is any way around the problem. Any info would be greatly appreciated, thank you

Arcane legends runs fine on my nexus 5 (Carbon ROM/ElementalX) but carashes too frequently on my nexus 7 (32g/flo) which was running PA, then tried omnirom still same issues. Maybe using a stock based rom will work? Doing stock is no option, I like my rainbow colored halo/pie

Hello,
I want to buy this phone i really love the design of 8s but im concerned for few things :
Ram memory only 512 mb.
Windows 8 or maybe 8.1 is it fully upgradable ?
Low number of apps and games available.
Unable to jailbreak or is able ?
That's my concerns every recommendations and tips are welcomed.

Ram memory only 512 mb. - This isn't really an issue and the majority of apps and games are supported.
Windows 8 or maybe 8.1 is it fully upgradable ? - You can update to the latest 8.1 update 1 only with the preview for developers app (currently)
Low number of apps and games available. - This is a general Windows phone issue, I have not found it to be a massive issue.
Unable to jailbreak or is able ? - No Windows phones cannot be 'jailbreaked' or rooted.
I own this phone, but would not personally recommend it.
You may be buying it for the design but I think you may be disappointed by its performance.
The phone is now 2 years old and there are better performing Windows phones available.

I bought this phone and updated to developer preview 8.1 0.14203.306, works well.

viber notifications now work i didnt done anything to fix it i mean i restarted the phone they were not working i disabled&enabled everything it was not helping, but now they are fixed by itself and working i cant believe it.
