Tv out - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III

I have an mhl adapter from my Evo 3d and tried to hook it up to my s3 with no luck. Do I need a Samsung mhl adapter for it to work? I am on JellyBomb rom and didn't see anything for tv out options

[Q] MHL adaptor issue

I just got the genuine samsung MHL adapter for my Galaxy s2. The touch is not working properly when i connect it to hdmi cable.
It showing the mobile stuff on my TV but the touch is really lagging and i am hardly able to use my phone when connected to hdmi cable. Is there any specific hdmi cable required to make it working or there is some setting i can adjust to make it workin?

How to get MHL video out working

I have both a genuine Samsung MHL adapter and the S2 mhl adapter with the 5pin to 11pin converter and I've seen both of these work on other phones.
However, I can't get my video out working on my S3. Both of them connect and bring up active charge and indicate onscreen that "HDMI cable connected". So I know the adapter and cable is being detected but no signal on HDTV. The HDMI cable is good as is TV and monitor I tested on and of course proper input is selected.
Now as far as I remember as soon as it is plugged in the video should automatically show up on HDTV screen...correct? No TV out setting has to be turned on as in past Galaxy correct?
Fyi..I have multiple S3's but currently only have one on hand...its a 747m with KyanROM on it... so not stock..it is rooted and has KT747 9-18 kernel as well.
I have a feeling its the rom(and I could easily test this if I had other phones but don't for a while).
So if both MHL adapters are confirmed working and both the HDMI cable and TV are working AND even the phone states that HDMI cable connected, then what is the issue with no video display?
Thanks for help with this

Official SGS III MHL adapter not displaying on tv

I have the bell SGS III 4.04 with the official MHL adapter right from samsung. The phone says "hdmi adapter connected" but nothing comes up on the tv. I have tried all 4 hdmi ports on my tv and 2 other hdmi cables. The phone acts like it is supposed to when the adapter is plugged in (no sound, landscape mode) just nothing on the tv
Forgot to say im using a Ktoonz kernel if that matters.

[Q] How can i connect my Galaxy note n7000 to Sony Bravia 3D TV via MHL

hi guys,
i am also facing the same problem with MHL adapter. i tried to connect my galaxy note n7000 to sony bravia 3d tv via MHL but failed to do so. whenever i connect MHL to HDMI Cable to tv and to phone nothing happened and not even my phone or tv show any sign of connection or any notification regarding that. my phone not even show the battery charging sign. i also used 3d HDMI cable for the connection but nothing came out.... and when the vender (from whom i purchased the MHL) gave me the demo the same MHL was working fine with his HDMI cable and tv but the cable and tv he used were not 3D whereas i have a 3D tv. i dont understand why i am not able to connect the MHL adapter using 3D HDMI cable to my Sony Bravia 40HX750 3D tv with my Galaxy Note n7000. still struggling with that.... any reply in this regard will be appreciated.... thanx.
