When's the XPeria Arc (LT15i) on Orange UK getting ICS ?
I think it's coming, from talking to Orange and reading the SonyMobile forum posts, but does anyone know when ? Orange are characteristically tight-lipped on the subject.
It's not what you want to hear, but why don't you just flash the stock Sony ICS ftf file?
There won't be any orange bloatware slowing the phone down even more. (Trust me, it needs it on ICS...)

Go to the General section. There's a stickied thread which tells you how to root your phone.
Follow the instructions and you won't face any problem. Good luck.

no harm will happen to your phone, but if something does happen all you need to do is flash the original ICS.ftf onto your phone and it will be fixed

Hi there;
I´ve purchased a Xperia Sola, it shall be a Christmas Gift
Want to do some customs and install some messenger apps, so its ready out of the box.
Now i´m unsure about saving the current Android (2.3.7) it should be possible to get back to this in case of errors/dislikes with ICS (read about some error bugs with Sola and ICS).
Whats the best way on complete stock Sola to do this, or is it even necessary?
On Htc i just unlocked the bootloader and installed CWM (unofficial way).
As far as i read through some threads here, until now the only way to unlock xperias is an official way (warranty issues?)
As long as i don´t know if the gifted person feels comfortable with the phone I don´t want to do things on the firmware that can´t be undone...
So is their any way to backup the whole rom without unlocking, or is it possible to undo unlocking/rooting in case of?
Sry for my english and some newb question but i want to be sure about this.
Thanks in advance.
Edit: Wrong forum, some mod can maybe move?
Hello people
I am wishing to flash my Xperia Arc with a stock UK ROM where I do NOT have to unlock the bootloader, I have been reading a very in-depth thread located here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2067008 but for the life of me I cant find where to download a UK Stock firmware and Flashtool, can someone help out as I would like to de-brand my Arc.
Thank You for any help
Don't all answer at once, the rush is killing me, lol
