Hey guys! I recently rooted my Dinc 2 and am LOVING incredible sensation. But I would like to jump into themes and moving a bit beyond the typical htc skins. Although I have yet to find an overall list of themes out there and would particularly love to see a white style. Nothing super complicated, just a white status bar(with proper black/inverted font color to fit) white dock, etc. Is there anything out there and is there any list for themes supported for this Rom? Anywho, thanks in advance for all the help. I'm REALLY digging this super speedy phone

there are currently only one standalone theme for that rom...http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1227783 and i dont think its based on the latest release (which would have conflicts)
andybones has a few mods out for it...but really there are only skins out there
because the inc2 has a relatively small community (and fewer themers), you wont see many standalone themes for roms...in my case for our tsm roms i personally work on themes for them just for that reason

Hmmm that def makes a lot of sense (ha ha). Is there a comprehensive list of 3.0 skins or is it mainly fragmented though through different posts and off the market? Oh and will 3.0 skins work in sense 3.5.im seriously considering running the b,is of rummymede Rom. Thanks for all the help.

there are some large skin lists out there...but mainly just from certain individuals that made many of their own
there are some in the market...mostly its just all over the place on xda
sense 2.0/2.1 skins are usually interchangable...sense 3.0 skins i dont think will work with 3.5 given the big changes between the 2
hybrid roms it usually depends upon what version of rosie is used

I'm running Incredible Sensation v2.0 and it is 'Sense 3.0' but the build.prop shows 2.1
I have used a couple of these themes and they work fine.

I love the ET4G. I came from the 3D and as much as I hated the problems with the signal on that phone I liked Sense better.
Which would you prefer?
I love my EVO but I actually despise Sense. I think HTC has done a very thorough job of creating an identifying UI and I can see why some like it, but I can't stand the bloated pretense it harbors. IMO.

I am one of the few who likes HTC Sense. TW is a nice change.. something different.
No way. Hate sense. "touchwiz" is just a launcher. We are as close to bone stock as we could be without being totally bone stock and I love it.
To each his own, of course.

I prefer zeam

I liked certain aspects of Sense... but I prefer TW on this phone for sure. Much more simple.
I like TW4.
Big fan of Touchwiz here.
Tw good *hulk speak*

wont lie, if i could get sense running butter smooth like tw4 id take it.
i miss the contact intergration with sense when it comes to facebook and twitter.
by the way if anyone wants to follow me its @JUICEDUP216 lol
coming from the OG Evo, i really like touchwiz 4.0 over any version of sense i was running - tops 2.1
I haven't touched a Nexus phone in over a year - is that raw android or does that have a launcher?

Nexus is always stock Android.
prefer the look of sense but like the fuctionality of tw4
Give me a pure AOSP with adw ex anyday over sense/blurr/tw
They all have great little functions but when it comes down to it all of them have something I hate
Id choose tw over sense if a gun was to my head and I couldnt ever get pure aosp

Coming from a Nexus and having a Evo before i prefer Pure naked android over anything but this new touchwiz is my favorite manufacturer skin.
Really only miss my Evo 3D lockscreen.
Aosp is boring as hell. I use LauncherPro.
From what I've seen Ice Cream Sandwich will be something worth jumping to.
ICS launcher is already in XDA

I keep hearing this sentiment echoed. Is touchwiz any deeper than a launcher? I don't see any evidence of that. Sure, there are a few Samsung customizations here and there. Device specific options like the Screen mode, etc. Then there is the camera.apk and dialer.apk which is often different from phone to phone. But aside from that touchwiz seems to be just a launcher.
Sense, on the other hand, has it's hooks way deep down in the OS and at times probably in the hardware as well.
I haven't rooted yet, I've been busy, but I will tonight and I'm going to try to yank out touchwiz completely and make it as 'stock' as possible...something tells me that is going to be very easy.
All that said I've gotta admit Touchwiz is nowhere near the abomination that the Sense loving HTC crowd has always made it out to be. Sure, the icons are kinda goofy and the stock homescreen configuration (especially the main screen and wallpaper) is just embarrasing. But that can all be fixed with 10 minutes of no-root-required changes. It's fast, it's straight forward, it's light weight. It just looks like a mildly modified form of the stock launcher. I don't understand what the hate is, but, I also don't see how it is anything more than a launcher with native widgets...there are tons of those out there.
...I've always hated Sense....
I like TW because they aren't trying to do too much. I prefer it over Sense, but just by a little bit. I've gone back to Launcher Pro+ though. I am experiencing a little stutter at the start of switching homescreens however, but it's not horrible. I have widgets on every page which is causing this, but I know it's not the phone, but the OS.

so where are the porting devs?
EDIT: i´m only spreading information
Why would you want to pollute a good operating system with that trash??!?!?

Its all a matter of personal preference and taste, my friend. More ROMs is always better. And if you don't like it, you don't have to flash it (if anyone does port it). There are plenty of custom Sense ROMs on GB for our phone, so it would be hard to believe that absolutely no developers would be interested in porting a ICS ROM with Sense.
I think it'd be better to wait until HTC releases their first ICS phone. It will contain a brand new Sense UI version, which would be optimized for ICS.
Sense 3.5 is really convenient, I prefer it over stock Gingerbread. But in combination with Ice Cream Sandwich? Google's UI works like a charm, no need for me to switch back this soon.
That link looks very promising for DHD owners, I'm glad that we still have so much support for our phone though. It'd be really cool to see Sense 3.5 on ICS.
I don't think sense 3.5... I think sense 2.1 with ics will be an awesome combo

Desire HD and Desire Z came out around the same time, and hardware is similar in many ways. So the DHD ROM may be a good starting point.
Hi all devs!!! I was only wandering if someone can help with this port...
I will try but i haven't so much skills
I think this won't be so difficoult cause the leaked rom is for a 720p display so nothing needs to be resized
(Yeah if u don't like sense its not my problem so don't reply here saying sense suck --')
I will try to start port process today and post my results so don't delete this thread please
UPDATE: i can't find RUU file so i can't start...if someone have it please share it with me
I'm no dev, but aren't most sense ports failing because the sense sdk is closed source and there are a lot of libs and stuff unavailable for devs?
You can't just port Sense to another platform, it's not just a launcher but an entire framework
Plus this should be in Q&A not Dev
First step. Modify, build and successfully boot a kernel for Sense. Without it, the ROM will never boot. Sense needs kernel patches.
also if the leaked rom is for a 720p display don't signifies that the port is easy\fast.
anyway good luck for that!

I know that but u are wrong....nexus one have sense....nexus s have sense...galaxy s have sense...why we haven't to try?
I actually got the ruu booting on my nexus s 4g, so this is very possible for gnex.. you even have the same screen resolution..
I'll help try to port it to gnex, that would be pretty cool

this might help

But why on earth would you want to slow the Nexus down with Sense? My Sensation with Sense 3.6 (ICS 4.0.3) is horribly slow compared to stock Android

Cause we can and people have to have different choices...if i want TO port that why i haven't to do that?
I'm all for choices, but this is a BAD choice and would make the Nexus worse. It's seriously not worth porting it over.
Taking Sense to the Nexus One was easy as the Desire is the same phone so there wasn't a lot of work needed

No port is a bad choice, who wouldn't want the option to run sense on the gnex? If I had a gnex that would be my first project.
It couldnt make the device worse, more options are better
who wouldn't want to port sense on gnex?....anyone,seeing the effort on this 3ad!
and i think it's right.sense is good for any phone with a proper associated UI (and IMHO sense it's the best respect others, like tw,motoblur etc)but in a google phone, inwhich proper manufactured UI is absent,i agree with eddyOS,it's a nonsense.can only slowdown the system and eating most of the ram.why go straight on with a porting of a thing despite the absence of which was conceived and designed specifically to streamline the system ...?
Let the guy try! This would be interesting for sure!
sent from my Nexus Prime
nothin says that he shouldn't try...i only express my opinion!
This would be really awesome
Although I agree that it might slow down the system a bit, its amazing to have a lot of choices. Its a developer phone and the more roms, kernels and mods we have the better (although quality is important TOO )
BTW....swamp goblin, you really seem to love porting (just game from Nexus S), your work is fantastic
My hat off to whoever accomplishes this. I think it would be brilliant to see. Like people said, choice is good.
Aren't there any legal issues on this? I'm not too sure HTC would take it well.
that would be awesome... i hope its possible
after a few days i dont like how the syncing is handled, im getting a bit tired of the whole ui in general. it's just not pleasant anymore. I even tried to switch launchers to nova. Then realized how much better ics stock would be on this. Then nova decided to force close on me so its unusable on the one x. man these roms cant come quick enough, ditching sense asap. Anyone else feel sense gets real old really fast? Don't get me wrong i love the phone, and the screen really has me in awe. Just tired of sense and want a more stock experience.
I've got the one x after a year of using a Wildfire. I don't have any problems with sense 4.0
I actually like Sense 4, its more pleasing to use than vanilla ICS in my opinion but still keeps the best parts of the plain ICS theme.
At the end of the day, if you don't use the Sense widgets everything else is pretty much the same as stock to look at. The app drawer even flows the same way.
But messaging and other parts look better.
