So when i go into Rom Manager, the "use external SD card" option is grayed out. Any suggestions how to fix this?
I have CWM recovery 6.0.1.2 and rom manager 5.0.2.0
Been wondering the same thing

Greyed out for me also. Free version.
It might to do with the fact that the sgs3 extsd is emulated. Apps2sd doesn't work on it either. There is a way to swap the cards so that your extsd is seen by the device as an int sd. Provided your rom is deodexed and either your rom or kernel has init.d support. There is a tutorial on the device section. Look @ the video.

Check your recovery backups, see if you have too many, they can take up quite a bit of space.

i dont think so, i remember reading someone with a similar problem in another forum but cant for the life of me remember where, sorry! are u on a custom rom? try reflashing or connect to your computer and use the explorer to see where all your space has gone. if that doesnt show more space and a reflash doesnt fix maybe its your internal storage itself i think thats what it was with the other person and its irreparable without replacing. I know Flac music files are crazy big but i assume ud know if it was that. hope i help in some way and if i come across the other person with the same problem ill post a link.
I had a similar issue after flashing a new rom, it would show up with about 9gb taken up space even though nothing showed up. The way I'd fixed it was by formatting the sd card from clockworkmod.
A few ideas
Install solid explorer from the play store. It has a mode that lets you see what is eating up space graphically.
If you download roms vía rommanager or any other app check the sd card folders for those downloads. they're about 150 mb a piece so they can add up (especially if you do nightlies)
If i format my sd card via recovery,
Do i lose my apps?

You will lose any apps installed on the SD card.

I'm not sure why you'd need to but try apps2sd from the market - it's free.

That's pointless in this phone.
If you read the app description is even says, "Not supported devices: * Galaxy S3, Note 2, Galaxy Nexus, Tablets"
The only way to get apps installed in sd card is: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1931500
Ahh, my bad. Thanks.

You need something like Directory Bind. Kind of tricky though. Unfortunately gone are the days that google will support moving apps away from internal memory.
Hey I need because internal memory is 14 gb so when it geys full I want app which I move the data to sd card

This function is not supported, however you can change to custom roms that may support this, or just install redpill kernel and use the function in the stweaks to make your external sdcard an internal sdcard. This is the easiest method If you get any problems just post some question in the link below, i'll be making some tutorial on how to do this kind of things soon

I just got a note 2 and cant move any apps to my SD card... ive searched everywhere and cant find anything. Any suggestions?
I don't believe it's possible to do that anymore, unless you make it to where the phone reads the external as the internal.
You need root I think

Directory Binding:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1889550
You'll need to use our external path as it's different from the S3.
So would all the commands be the same for the paths or would I have to change them?

And when I try to use app2sd I still can't move my apps over

I can't uninstall any apps when I go to settings> application manager and then hit uninstall on an app it just sits with the scrolling bar and never uninstalls. If I clear data it just says "calculating".
Pics attached.

SOLVED: I removed my sd card and now it works no problem. There's some info :/ that here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2097381
Sd card was warm and taking up battery.
Anyone have any thoughts on why this would happen?

"Media" was killing your battery. You have something corrupted on that SD card.

So I'm assuming a format will fix this. Should I format using my pc or in recovery mode?

I would use the phone to do it. Settings>Storage>Format SD Card
That way the phone should be able to have optimal reading/writing with the card.

Your Android backups are in that folder. I'd guess you have 3 there now and you might delete one. You CWM backups can also be done to MicroSD card instead of internal Sdcard.
Thanks!
