First of all a huge thanks to Sextape for the FI03 release. Thanks to Calkulin for use of the install script. Thanks to Chainfire for SuperSU.
Flash this to get Deodexed/Odexed stock FI03 with latest root (SuperSU), su binary and Busybox 1.20. These Do Not include a kernel.
There is a version for no data wipe and data wipe. Make sure you don't get them mixed up.
All of the zips wipe cache and dalvik for you so no need to do that separately.
I am not responsible for anything that happens to your phone. You do this at your own risk.
Also note that if you are using Agat's FH13 or FH23 stock repacks, do not flash the data wipe zips. It will not boot. For some reason those kernels can't be wiped or factory reset.

No kernel is included. It will keep whatever you had before flashing. Found it best to just let people choose which kernel to use.

The problem is you're using the stock recovery. You'll need to flash another kernel that has custom recovery included to be able to flash. Check out the Kernel Repo for all of your options.

i can get a custom recovery on a non rooted phone its just questionable if the files will flash in a non rooted phone; some files flashed require system partition build info which requires a ops file in the odin before flash so thats why i ask if dueable, and i can always put back my stock kernel / recovery as well so i can boot from getco. but im not rooted cause all there is to offer are one click roots which install the OS and i like my stock from official ota. i know the stock odin says they are official as well but my phone has more problems when i install one of those packages vs being on a stock ota. so if there is a root method for just rooting current fi27 please let me know but thats why im not rooted.

I believe it would flash fine. Also, you can root it by flashing a superuser zip which just adds the superuser apk (I'd use supersu) and then the binary files.

Someone posted that it fixes an overheating issue on the MA6 firmware and baseband. So edit your build.prop and change all MA6 occurrences with MB1 save, exit, reboot (that will stop the update nag) then wait for a firmware and baseband flashable to show up.

If you *need* the update now and have CWM/TWRP, flash stock recovery zip from freeza, reboot and take update, then re-root via team epic method or cf-auto-root. Took about 3 minutes total for me.
Or wait until someone with more skillz than me uploads a CWM/TWRP flashable zip.

Hi,
yesterday i was updating mi epic touch 4g, i did it first with odin and it worked fine from 4.0.2 to 4.1.2 , then I did installed Kies and it updated fine to a Official ROM and updated te baseband and the rom (or something like thaht )
Odin was working fine and kies too
today I was traying to install a custom rom founded in this link
I followed each step
when i was doing the "click the PDA button and browse for the StockCWM-EL26.tar.md5 file." odin did it fine but when my cel rebooted the screen said "Galaxy SII i9000" and showed a yellow triangle
i went into download mode and I did install a "FD16 StockRom Rooted" (it allways save me) but now Kies showme the info bellow
{

}
it says
"the device does not support software upgrade via Kies"
Firmware version: PDA16 / PHONE:B27 / CSC16
Odin and Kies can't connect the phone any more
any one can help me?
(sorry for my english, I'm just learning)
thanks in advance.
Your phone rebooted to the yellow triangle because you flashed using pc odin and fllashed el26 over a jb rom. The el26 is used to flash from recovery. Not sure why your phone said i9100, but you may have dodged a bullet there. If your phone is the epic 4g touch(sph-d710), then make sure any kernel you flash is sph-d710 as well. From the sound of it, you may still have cwm. Have you tried booting into recovery? Power button+ volume up? If you flashed el26 and nothing successfully since, try that. Once you get into there, wipe data, cache, dalvik, and flash your ROM. PA requires an ics modem as well, so if you updated your baseband to jb, you'll have to flash an ics modem as well. Good luck!
Edit: sorry I may have misunderstood. If you flashed a rooted FD16, it won't let you update via Kies. Your have to unroot. But you don't need to update. Just use mobile odin to flash el26, reboot into recovery, wipe everything, and flash Paranoid Android and an ics modem.

This is the Sprint OTA (JWR67B) announced on 10/31 packaged in to a ROM, this is meant for anyone who is not on stock or doesn't want to go through the hassle of flashing a 4.2.1 stock ROM and flashing the OTA zip.
Click to collapse
If you're using a stock 4.2.1 ROM and you want to update to 4.3, do not use flash this, you will lose your data, flash this if you're on a stock 4.2.1 ROM and want to update to 4.3.
Given this a Stock ROM, gapps do NOT need to be flashed after installation, they are included.
If you are looking for the GJ04 CDMA/LTE radios that came with the 4.3 Sprint OTA, you can find them here.
Root is not included in this ROM, if you want root, be sure to flash a superuser zip following installation, such as SuperSU v1.65
Busybox v1.21.1 is included in this ROM.

Please follow op if you have a data issue flash a stock ROM update profile and prl. With correct data setting LTE/CDMA or CDMA/Evdo trust me I deal with it from sprint ALL the time I'm a crack flasher and they have shut me off from all of it. To where I had to call them with a error 16 when trying to make a call they told me it was from to many activation on the same phone. They asked me if my phone was rooted so once a month I have to profile update if not I loose data and phone from sprint and it makes new ROMs go through the ota activation call

I was on twrp when mine failed changed to philz and all was great
I used the latest touch cwm not twrp my understanding needs to be latest cwm. I did a dirty install over cm11 only app that gave me a problem was poweramp oh and Google search won't update as well as it fc when entering home... Replaced poweramp with mixzing seems to work fine
