Have fun
Samsung Messaging has a crappy theme but it's superior to the stock Messaging app.

Superior in what way?
Thanks a lot!
The standard samsung app is better than stock but graphically deviates too much from holo.
I immediately downloaded the application that you have shown me, but unfortunately doesn't work ... After having opened app it crashes.
In particular, he shows me the list of all messages (distinguishing read from unread) but when I try to go into a conversation stops everything.
I use GoLauncherEx on Samsung official 4.0.3 rom. When the application crashes, even golauncher crashes! For a few seconds the screen is all black (it show me only tray bar)!
I know that GoLauncherEx isn't optimized for ics but is the only launcher that lets me create folders in the program list (I have much application and I need it!).
Actually ICS isn't very stable on my device and I'm almost regretting gingerbread!
I can do anything about it?
Thanks again for your support,
I hope one day I'd help forum people.

That is very strange. Which firmware did you install? I installed XEO (polish version) and didn't get a single crash or problem what so ever. I had a few problems in rooting it, though (needed to wipe it first and re-flash the orginial ICS firmware before rooting to get the root rights recognized). But once that got fixed, everything was and still is perfect.
Or maybe it is because of the go launcher ex? I was using TW the entire afternoon (13.03) without crashes. At night I installed Apex launcher as system launcher and no crashes either (one day running), very low battery consumption and awesome looks. You can add the ICS Theme Pack from kovdev to get the ICS icons.
Hello element!
I've installed the XEO firmware, then polish, just like you.
I have not done the wipe but updated via OTA.
I had already installed GoLauncher. When I've upgraded I've selected Golauncher instead of Tw.
Currently I have encountered frequent application crashes and one total block of the system. The battery, to be honest, I can not tell if it lasts more than gingerbread why I used the phone a lot for various customizations.
I do not know if the problem is that I did not do a wipe.
If he continues to give me problems I do a backup. After I install the rom again.
Tonight I remove the battery and after power on. Tomorrow, we'll update on my test.
PS The biggest problem is GoSmsPro. it sends multiple messages at one time. If I send you a message, you will receive two. I do not know how to solve.
PS2 The root I did with Odin and had no problems ...
Thanks for the help,
Hello!
As I promised you I a write updates.
I solved the problem of low stability: I made a deepclean and then installed applications without syncing (I installed all the applications manually).
Now I have one problem, the phone crashes when I try to change the background. If you have any idea: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=23727272#post23727272
For the rest new rom does not seem bad ...
Thanks for your help,

Hey, check it out: One so called Tim Hutt put the stock calendar, messaging, and launcher app in the market and they all work just fine for me. The apps are called "Android 4 ICS Messaging SMS", "Android 4 ICS Calendar", and "Android 4 ICS Launcher".
The only bug I have (and it's not a big one) is that the screen doesn't light up when you receive a text message... Perhaps this is because I disabled/removed the official Samsung messaging services though... If you leave the default services enabled, then the screen lights up like normal but you have to select a setting in the ICS messaging app to disable the message receiver because then both the Samsung app and the ICS app will both write the text message to the database and you'll have duplicate incoming messages. Just go to settings and scroll to the very bottom to see what I mean... Enable that option if you don't remove the Samsung services/apps.

I am recently having fun of dual booting on Siyah kernel.
On Cyanogen , the dialer is great & simple.
Also contacts work great than present in Samsung.
The full screen caller image , shortcuts of apps or widgets get delete that is removed from home screen just by flicker.
I know that some of these features or all given by Google itself in Jelly bean.
Can we port them to touch wiz ?
Please , don't tell me an substitute app for dialer , etc because apps don't work like system app works
Thanks in advance guys.
Sorry , if I have posted in wrong section

Doubt that
I really doubt anything could be done with stock Dialer. Balagamer mod it for 240 dpi but just that.
Sorry to say that, because is think it is the only glitch in our device.
Anyway and as I have suffered the same frustration (now forgotten) I dare to recomend you to give a try to exDialer. Since I use it my S3 it finally become what a 600 € phone should be.
You will get quick dialer with real T9 and a fast contact app (with nearly 1500 contacts open inmediately), keeping stock "incoming" call and "in call" screens (nice idea for compatibility with TW actions). And you will be able forget those stupid water leak sounds that hide the proper dialing key codes.
It is a very light app and don't cause any problem. It is free, skinable, and you don't loose anything triying.

Thanks for the recommendation! I just tried it and it is an awesome app. Where the stock dialer used to be slow, taking a few seconds before loading, this one shows up instantly. The contacts list is also so much cleaner than stock.
You are welcome.
Happy to know you try my recomendation and find it usefull.
Hi
Picked up my new Tab S 84 just under a week ago and am v pleased with it. Can't believe how things have changed / improved in Android tablets since the Galaxy Tab 10.1 (loved that too!)
Anyway, I use the tablet mostly for work so emails, documents, remote working etc. I noticed that the native email widget is missing despite me having several email accounts setup on the device. is this normal? seems odd given that every Android device I've owned thus far has had this widget and I'd really like to use it.
Also, the tab s has IR built in but where's the app? I also use a galaxy S5 which has both of the above and works fine.
I'm wondering what else is missing!?! had also thought about a reset to see if that helps.
Another thing. I've got the LTE version and the battery life tho ok doesnt give that same 'oooo this is lasting forever' feeling like my old WiFi only Tab 10.1 and ipad 3 despite having very similar standby times. I have not ran any scientific tests tbh here.. but have decided to turn off 'mobile data' as I don't use it a great deal atm. hopefully this will improve things
Any thoughts on the above would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Thanks re WatchOn. Just discovered that this week.
I have also discovered the location of the missing widgets.
If you scroll to the left to access the Magazine UI. You can either add an extra page here and add special widgets including s planner and email widgets us other stuff or delete each magazine section by holding ur finger on them and replacing them with a widget or an app.
It's actually quite neat. Got mine looking good atm. Tho I like this I don't know why Samsung removed the option for us to create a traditional widgets for email and S planner etc..seems a bit of a daft move.
As for the battery life.. Ive simply switched off data whilst am not using it. Had a good 4 hour spell on it last night doing some work with only WiFi on. It dropped about 25% which I didn't think was too bad overall.
I'm still monitoring this though.

here u go guys...the new V2 of my SuperSamsung rom which works with all tab s versions includes the ability to use stock widgets in any launcher as well as on the lockscreen (see post #2 in the link below for a screenshot)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-s/development/rom-supersamsung-v1-t2847070
as far as battery life...long story short u want to use apps with as much black as possible which saves major juice versus white pixels. i'm using dolphin browser with a night add-on (renders pages black) for my internet needs since most of the drain comes from the white backgrounds while wondering around on the web ...there have been test done elsewhere online that shows this thing has the worse battery life when it comes to surfing (like 6/7) hours while it has hands down the BEST battery life when it comes to watching movies (around 14/15 hours unbelievably!)

Hello,
Where is the "magazine UI" i don't understand.
From a Galaxy Tab S, i've the same issue. "Email" widget is not more available "normally".
Thanks in advance for your help.
Am I the only nut to not do this before now? I set this (In developer options) and immediately noticed a huge difference in responsiveness. There's got to be a down side somewhere because this is too easy.
does anyone else see improvements with this?
I use more than 4 apps all the time. I don't see the point of this. It will give more harm than good if u use the phone a lot.
Sent from ♤ Galaxy Note 4 ♤ Please excuse if any typos.
I used this on my note 3 before root. I cant remember specifically, but I remember it annoyed me.
For me.. It's great.. Running ART anyway so the apps start faster since it's precompiled and I don't need a bunch of stuff running all the time. I get my text and email notifications, get to FB thru the web client and don't need a bunch of notifications from Twitter and I (have those disabled anyway)
So, again, for me, the improvement in responsiveness is worth it having cache dropped off on processes I stopped using
I noticed nothing to be honest other than being annoyed by it.
Hi all,
Please help me. I'm tired of MM, went back to Lolli and google play services is still eating a big part of my battery. I have 2 gmail accounts and facebook + messenger. All syncs are off, only the one for mail is on.
I noticed that google play seevices appear mostly when I'm on mobile data. And I don't know why, a nice while ago it was nowhere and I had 4.5hrs of sot in general, now it reaches 3hrs mostly.
Since we didn't have a lot of options for modded roms in the early life of the G4 and honestly I didn't really need one, cause it was flawless, (Sometimes I could reach 6hrs of sot using opera mini) now I'm lost and my question is: which ROM should I flash, that's clean and got rid of all of these sh*tty google stuff? The best would be a kdz version.
Or what sould I delete/disable etc? It's fvc*ing annoying.
And one more question, messenger is also a battery hog, and it wasn't like this before, and I don't really use it that much. Any ideas which version was better? Sadly I hate using it from browsers, chat enabler and fb lite are also awful for me.
I like this phone, and I don't want to sell.it, but the good battery performance is really.imortant for me, I'd like that 4,5hrs of SOT back.

to get rid of messenger.. you can use the latest beta or stable version that has built in messenger facebook app but no video call or voip calls. just facebook app with no messenger.

i dont know am on stock rom with locked bootloader.
i use social media vault pro app . 5 mb app and inbuilt features are Facebook with inbuilt messanger +google plus + flickr + twitter and all other social apps you cant even imagine.
I am using CAMUX v3 ROM ( Mine device bootloader is locked , so i do not have other options) which is smooth and xposed and V4A preinstalled . Battery life is not that good 3:30 hrs SOT but i am quite happy because i am not a heavy user.

Yeah that is good in my view. On my G2 i was getting about 5:30 hrs sot (KK) & about 4:30 hrs sot on LP after using exposed and Kairi awesome kernel (Standby time 30-40 hours). on the other hand in G4 we have to deal with a larger screen with increased PPI density .i think Its good if your standby is >20 hrs. Everybody knows G4 sucks in battery management section so it is not a big deal.
