Titanium backup is a must!
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app

Get the app Boot animations by Jrummy Apps Inc. You can change your boot animations to something cool!
Also try out Nova launcher or any other launchers. You can change animations themes all kinds of stuff.
Root browser is really usefull also.
Adfree block ads but disables websites like ad.fly etc
Rom toolbox. Just got this one you can do so much but make sure you know what you're doing lol.

Depends on what you're looking for, and what kind of rooted user you are.
For me, all of these are essential tools to have on hand, whether or not I need to use them at the moment.
Super User (Elite)
BusyBox (Pro)
Titanium Backup (Pro)
ROM Manager (Pro)
Triangle Away
Voodoo OTA Root Keeper
Root Explorer
Mobile ODIN
to name a few

What's the oovoo ota rootkeeper for

It preserves root on stock ROMs when you get an OTA update

Boot animations can only be changed of you're running a custom kernel.
Otherwise they have to be .qmg files which I don't believe that app supports

Easy ums is pretty cool. If you have a micro sd inserted, you can use your phone like an external hdd. I use this to store videos so I can connect to any smart tv and watch it on a bigger screen. If anyone knows an easier way to do this, let me know.

Yes. It's nice to look at, but customization is lacking. I use Apex instead

Yea u right. Anybody have the links

DiskUsage - find out exactly what is taking up space on your phone and exactly how much space it's taking up.

WiFi tether for root users is a great way to share your internet connection
i also have a terminal app. useful for a variety of things once you have su.

I really need the link for spb shell 3d and the patcher

I don't have the patcher, I bought the launcher. I misunderstood your question
Quit asking for Warez here it's not allowed nor endorsed

Is there a way u can share it ??

You cant share a paid for app. If you do then its considered warez and warez isn't allowed on this site nor will any one condone to piracy.

I rooted and i haven't seen any real benefits yet except tethering. (I want to minimize any modifying to the phone)

Cachemate, WiFi file explorer, easy tether, file manager
Beats audio, screenshot er
Faster fix

An app that you installed is causing the ads to appear. Just have to uninstall apps one at a time and see which one is causing this to happen.

I've actually done research and there are a few that do work. Avast and Zoner work. You can test it with a file from the market. Search for 'Zoner antivirus test' and DL that to test your av app. Its not harmful to your phone, just has a piece of code that is recognized by av software. That will tell you if it works. Personally, I've used both and have found Trojans in apps on the market which are immediately scanned and deleted automatically. So I know they work for me.

Yeah I've used Avast but don't you wish that these so called security programs would scan the apps for unwanted ads instead of trying different 'Ad Blocker' apps that most times don't work anyway lol, I guess the only way is to get rooted (soon) so I can use 'Lucky Patcher' just nervous about rooting even though the 'hereric rooting' thread looks easy enough but I had it easy with HTC/Android phone rooting cuz it's just one click programs and your done with basically '0' chance of bricking

Uncool. Using lucky patcher is, first of all, illegal, second, these devs who give you free apps need to support themselves somehow. So they put ads in their apps. If you're not willing to see a few ads for the functionality of the app, you don't deserve to use it.

I am not talking about ads just in free apps but also 'PAID' apps, which should not be aloud and I do pay for apps and I agree all devs deserve to get the money for their work so if your the first to cast stones do so but not in my glass onion.
Rooting the nitro is a process but its quite simple. As long as you follow the instructions you shouldn't have any problems. Ad free usually takes care of ads on a rooted device, without having to use lucky patcher. You should definitely give it a shot once you root.

what to do/ install to get the most out of the S3?

Any apps/ adjustment/ settings ANYTHING would be much appreciated. Im trying to get the most out of my S3. Im on stock rooted JB (Note that I'm not interested in flashing rom...) Thanks !!
I have 1 suggestion for now. Use X-plore as the file manager. It has root browser and everything. No ads and it's free. Really great file manager that I've just discovered last week after 6 months using Astro.
Cpu sleeper. Custom kernel (I use ktoonz).
Can't think of more of top of my head other than typical "going thru settings"to customize further.
I use stock rooted as well. The kernel change only to get better life out of battery and performance to device.
T-Mobile Galaxy S 3, stock and rooted.
I'm on stock rooted as well (need TW for wifi calling) and I've found my experience is vastly improved with Apex launcher. There are a good number of launchers out there, so you can try a few and see what you like.
Other than that, it's just stuff that caters to my interests.
Go to dev settings and turn animations and stuff from 1x to .5x.

Wifi calling is a feature on stock tmobile phones that allows you to make calls via your wifi connection and not use any minutes. AOSP doesn't have it on our phone. It is for those that live in poor signal areas and still need their phone for calls.

Cydia Substrate for Android

http://www.cydiasubstrate.com/
for Android
Supported on versions 2.3 through 4.2,
including Kindle Fire, CyanogenMod, and Intel.
While Android itself is "open", the devices that run it often aren't. Before installing Substrate, you will first need to get root access on your device.
Depending on which device you have, and which version of Android, this process differs; we therefore can't provide a simple recommendation.
Once you have root, you will need to install our APK, run the application, click Install, and grant Superuser access to Substrate when prompted.
Interesting

@jd14771: In the play store description it says:
Users should keep in mind that Substrate includes a safety feature: by holding down the volume-up button on your device you can disable Substrate while it is attempting to load these modifications (such as while it is turning on and starting); this will give you an opportunity to use Google Play to uninstall things that might be broken.

All the mods you want all in a app not having to browse throughout xda forums or google play I say bring cydia to android. After all the more options the better no? If you don't like it just don't use it lol
Also when I used my network worked fine I was on liquid smooth ROM may 3 or 5 build not sure anyways winter board wouldn't open up however. Back on cm10.1 and haven't tried it again don't plan on till it gets updated
