Rebooting whenever there's an incoming call - HTC One X

Hi there guys. Long time lurker, first time poster.
I'm having a weird issue where whenever I have an incoming call (before it shows up on the phone) my phone will reboot. I've called my phone several times and sure enough, as soon as the phone realises it's getting an incoming call (without actually showing anything on the screen) it just reboots.
This only seems to have happened since I flashed the faux (007u) kernel (although it might be that I just didn't notice it on Franco) but since I flashed to n3ocort3x (0.99 OCed GPU) to try and solve the problem, it still persists. I finally reflashed all the way back to Franco (r16) but even that hasn't worked. With every kernel I've flashed its individual modules too. I eventually gave up on custom kernels and moved all the way back to the stock ARHD kernel and modules but now even that makes me reboot whenever a call comes in.
I don't remember installing any apps recently that might have done this although it is hard to say when it started as I don't really notice a reboot while it's in my pocket on silent.
I'm running an international HOX unlocked.
Unlocked bootloader
Rooted
CWM recovery
Discovered I was running 9.3.2, upgrading to 9.4.1 now
Custom boot animation
Running OneXed camera mod and circlemod green
And I've tried Franco r16, faux007u and n3ocort3x 0.99 (OCed GPU) kernels.
I'm going to do a complete wipe and reinstall of the ROM and everything tonight but if that doesn't work I don't know what to do.
Thanks guys.
EDIT: Ok, so I reinstalled 9.4.1 with the stock kernel and so far this has fixed my problem. I'll keep installing things one by one to try and determine what the problem was but until then I'm open to ideas as to what might have been causing it.
EDIT 2: I've finally reinstalled all my apps, the n3ocort3x 0.99 (OCed GPU) kernel and all my mods. So far calling still works. I'm really confused now as to what the hell could have caused it. I'm going to tinker around and set all of previous settings too now so hopefully the problem won't show up then.

Have you uv the kernel??

Nope. I haven't done anything to the kernels. Just kept them as they came.

here's an idea. a very long shot idea though.
did you install any apps that are related to phone calls - ie saymyname (an app that reads out the callers name when you have an incoming call)
and then did you move that app to sd card or something?
a wild guess lol. the more i write the less likely it seems, but hey, i'm sure any ideas could be useful incase it happens again...

Nope. Nothing of the sort. And I can't move anything to the SD anyway as it's all internal storage. Thanks for the idea though.

ah never tried moving an app to sd on hox, assumed it would be the same as we still have an \sdcard directory.
i'll be back if i can think of anything else

Hey there,
When installing ARHD, did you install suite tools? If yes, did you choose the AOSP lockscreen in suit tools? If yes, then here's the problem: its accually a bug in suit tools which got fixed in suit tools 3.0 and later in ARHD 9.4.1
Hope i helped

[Q] Frosty JB V3 Bugs

Hi Everyone,
First I would like to say how much I love Frosty JB and that this thread is only to help make it better.
I would like to report some issues that I have seen and see if anyone else has had this as well.
1. I was getting random reboots saying invalid SIM
2. Screen would flicker when Hardware overlays was not disabled.
3. In ICS there was an option on the setting of call for configuring the Native SIP this has disappeared
4. Camera shutter not making the shutter sound anymore
Can't wait for the next release V4 of Frosty.:good::good:
If anyone else is having other issues I would like to hear about it.
THANKS AGAIN

Then installed Frosty using the following instructions using the android authority again
It's pretty straight forward. just google android authority T999 frosty jelly bean

Alright. Best way to be helpful is pm the rom's dev about bugs you find.
Once you get your 10 posts you will get better support posting in the rom thread. Until then just do what you can like now.
Couple things you can try, redownload the rom and reflash. Make sure youve backed everything up and factory reset before flashing. This will give you a clean install and rule out any compatability issues with apps or data.
If you are still having sim problems use Odin to flash back to UVALH2 stock and if it still has issues you may need to exchange the sim or even the phone.
I dont think 1. has been a common issue so i doubt its the rom. The rest are likely related to it being a jb leak. Youll find out faster for sure by scanning through the last 10-15 pages in the thread.
Good luck with it!

1. Don't think that is a ROM issue (might be your hardware). But best bet is to to fully wipe everything and do a clean install them wipe cache dalvic and fix permissions reboot and wait 10 minutes then reboot again.
2. Flicker comes from the kernel (uvli6/uvli7) it has much better battery than uvli8 so we accept rare flickers. Easy fix by disabling hw overlays (video wont work while disabled though).
3. Idk but i think that is just how it is on jelly bean. Nothing to do with this ROM but literally all jelly bean roms.
4. This is a known issue with acid sound mod not the ROM. You can delete the acid sound mod find the apk with a file manager or titanium backup.
Gotta use the search option my man!

[SOLVED][Q] Camera freezing

I'm running CM10 nightlies for a while now my camera has been failing. Everytime I try to take a picture, after a couple of seconds, it just freezes. Has anyone had this and tried fixing it?
So turns out that Smart Stay is causing the problem because it is trying to access the camera the same time I am trying to use it. So to fix it I just added any app that uses the camera to the exception list option in smart stay. Finally an end to this annoying problem. (or is it? ...I really hope it is.)
I had the same problem until I switched to jelly bean jellybomb rom instead. Try it, u will love it

I'll definitely give it a try, but what about if I still want to use cm10? Has anyone had any progress fixing this problem or at least finding the source of it?
In the changelog for cm10 it says the next nightly will introduce a "Fix Ignore Keyevents", maybe, just maybe, that will help!

I have odined back to stock, and wiped&&formatted everything possible. I did come across a thread (the link I have since lost) that mentioned something about possibly gapps causing the problem. Just know I had the idea that maybe because I am using JustinBean's inverted gapps there is a problem. I will investigate and see if that helps.
I can't believe I didn't think of this sooner. So even after the update, no change.. still freezing - GREAT! So then I started getting really aggrivated and started to uninstall apps that "Pimp My Rom" included, and I thought flash might be the culprit. And then it hit me, this is a camera problem right? Well then what app uses the camera? SMART STAY of course, and it made even more sense because it takes a sample at a certain interval and that explains that I am able to use the camera only for the short amount of time (always the same amount of time). So to fix the problem I just set in the exception list in smart stay an exception for any app that uses the camera. I really hope this is the fix I need. Thanks for your input guys!!

[Q] CleanBean v4.0 (Issues)

I'm running a Sprint Galaxy S3, I went from fully stock ROM / Kernel to CleanBean v4.0 and I have noticed some issues with my LCD, At first I thought it was my Kernel, But then after reading through all the comments on CleanBean thread no one has my issues. So I'm not sure what is wrong with it. But this is what it does, When I'm not using it for awhile and the screen is off, I randomly will grab it and start to use it. And it will "Look" as if the phone has shut off. (Screen won't turn on etc) But my LCD notification lights are still on and blinking normally. So then I have to power button it for a long time, Then it will finally reboot. This has happened about 4-6 times so far and only when I'm not using the phone. It has yet to screw up like that during use. So if someone knows what could cause this please help me!
Is clean bean AOSP? If so, is it using the 3.4 kernel?
If not, did you do a clean flash to CleanBean and check the md5sum of your download?
EDIT: Nvm, just found the thread

I'm not running Clean Bean, here's my experience. I know that there are some apps that are poorly coded... In particular, there are some games where if I turn the screen off while playing, will do something similar when I try to turn the screen back on. When I press the power button, the hard keys light up but not the screen. I think it has something to do with how the app handles the screen-off (sleep)/screen-on (wake) commands.
Are there any apps that you use regularly that might be causing this?

[Q] Liquid Smooth 2.3 Screen Flickering Issue

Hey there,
Unfortunately I have another problem with Liquid Smooth. I tried searching this bug with no luck. The screen flickers rainbow stripes (best way I can describe it) when I launch the camera from the lock screen, when I hit the power button on the lock screen and occasionally when I go into settings. Any ideas why this could be? or is it just a know bug? This happened much more infrequently on 2.2 but still happened.
Let me help you rack up 10 posts, and then go ask in the thread as this is rather rom specific. If anyone in there is able to recreate it after you post, then it's an issue with the rom itself

I am experiencing the same issue with the LiquidSmooth 2.4 for Verizon. I recently did a clean install this weekend and everything was fine until the screen started flickering randomly. Mic problems on AOKP ROM

So i'm on to like my third GS2 because it seems like i always have bad luck with ROMs or there is common issue that i haven't yet noticed. I am currently not even rooted but i have this itch to just root once again and flash my beloved AOKP that i love dearly. The problem is that every time i flash the ROM everything is fine and smooth for about a month, but then people start telling me that my mic and my end of the call sounds really bad. I always test speech to text and google now and the phone seems to understand and hear me perfectly, but the issue of phone calls remain. I really wanna know if this is a common issue especially with this ROM so that i can stay away from rooting and flashing for good now or if there is a way to fix this or if someone has worked their way around this. Any help or info would be appreciated, thanks!
AOKP to the death bro i feel you on that and do you have the newest radio installed MC6 (baseband) any of the newer ROMs all recommend to use the newest radio but on a side note yes the issue is know but not everyone gets it but ive never actually had that problem every phone acts differently and behave differently not every phone is created equal
Do I need to install the MC6 radio separately? I've had the issue with all my GS2's :/

yes just download this and flash it in recovery http://goo.im/devs/Void_Dweller/SGH-T989_UVMC6_radio.zip and see if you have any improvements also what radio are you on now ??
OK thank you. Well like I said in my first post I am unrooted and stock right now. I just want info at my reach in case it happens again because its a stressful situation where all my calls are impossible and I want to be able to fix it right away if it happens

OK so i re-downloaded the slimbean rom and also flashed the 4.2.2 slim gapps and i am so happy and satisfied that my phone actually works the way it's supposed to now. I only have two small concerns now that i hope you can help me with.
1. When i connect to my pc my phone only gives me the options to connect as a media player or a camera. It's as if it dosn't even have a usb mass storage option? I also noticed it has no developer section in settings.
2. Everything is small. I know you might know this and it might be normal or default but is there any way to change this and make it normal? Is it something to do with Dpi? It's kinda annoying lol
