Just thought I'd share a little something I threw together for all the INVERTED FANS among us...
There's a pretty stable cm10 build for the T-Mobile GS3 that many of us have been using and as per usual, I couldn't leave well enough, alone... Personally, I hate white backgrouns in ANY of my apps so I took the latest JB GAPPS zip and added/replaced apps with inverted apps.
Instructions:
As per usual, make a back up before flashing this zip file!!!
On a clean install, flash your ROM then this modded Gapps zip then fix permissions and reboot.
If you already are running JB, just wipe cache and dalvik then flash the gapps, fix perms and reboot.

Inverted apps have black background with white text instead of white background and black text. The inverted apps save battery because black backgrounds.

Thanks

Light text on dark backgrounds. It also saves a little battery on SAMOLED displays, because brighter colors require more energy to emit light, vs darker tones.
(anyone who's already running these inverted gapps: are there any glitches from other unchanged styled text still being dark, and hence too dark to see?)

Awesome thanks a lot!!!
This will only work on JB Roms... You can extract the inverted apk's and install them on ICS Roms as well.
Anyone that's getting force closes with email, gmail or having market issues needs to go to the app manager and clear the cache and force stop in email, exchange, gmail, play store, and Google framework then reboot their phones! Should fix the issue.

These aren't just "light colored font with a black background" the email apks are black with white font but I always try to incorporate black and ICS blue colors. Anyway...They all look awesome. Back your ROM up and do a clean install with the modded gapps... You won't be disappointed.

I think we need a inverted color gmail app for Galaxy S III, remember black backgrounds help save battery life, if we could change the gmail to black background with white letters instead of white background with black letters that would be a big help!!!
P.S. I can not build android apps so this idea is free to steal all I ask is to credit me on the idea that you put into action!!!!

It's included in that zip flashable through CWM!
EDIT: What we do need is a blue and white gmail app icon. The red one doesnt match ICS or JB. I know themes can change this but if people want to stick with the default theme then they can get the blue and white gmail app to replace the red one.

I didn't want to start a brand new thread on this so I will post my question here.
I have both the stock email app and Gmail app installed. Do most people just disable the stock email app? Right now when someone sends me an email, I get the notification in both email and stock app which is slightly annoying.
Or do you remove their email addresses from the stock email app?
Thanks.

This can be pulled or locked at any point as I am not the developer but wanted to share the link. I spoke with one of the developers and we may see an official thread some time soon. This is a super fast and stable AOSP based rom with sprinkles of cm10 and aokp. Lots of mods and inverted colors. If you are a flasholic and love cm and aokp type mods you will love this rom. I run it on my gnex and n7 and is by far my favorite rom to date. This can also be down loaded through goomanager which can be dled through the market place. I'm not going to make this any longer as again I am sure there will be a official thread soon. Flash away.

I've been running this since asking the dev who built the ROM if he would whip it up for us. It runs great with kt kernel. Has a lot of options from CM and AOKP. It does have a screen flicker of some sorts. I think it looks like an animation in the top left corner in certain apps(Facebook). For being the first build, its great!

I've been running this rom since earlier this morning and I have to say, this is easily the most stable of the aosp roms so far. The amount of customization on this thing is sick and everything is inverted. I LOVE this rom so far. A mix of cm10, aokp and jellybro all rolled into one!! Are you running ktoonz kernel with it? What do you think of it so far?
I hope they post an official thread of this rom. It definately needs to be in the original development forum.

Even with ktoonz' kernel installed and disable hw overlays checked the flickering is still there. I'm not seeing it consistently but it's noticeable when it happens. For me I seem to get it while in google play more then anywhere else. For the amount of tweaks and mods this rom has...small price to pay!

I'm not sure to be honest. I have noticed that whenever it flickers, it's always towards the top left and most of the time it's about a 1in x 1in square section of the screen.

I found something even better (in my opinion):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1980828
In the GS3 I9300 forum, someone posted an Aroma Installer version of the 4.2 Gapps that works for BOTH AOSP and Samsung-based ROMs. I flashed it on my SGH-T999 (T-Mobile GS3) and EVERYTHING works perfectly without FCs. Actually, the camera still FCs if you don't manually focus first, but that seems to be a problem we can't get rid of just yet. Everything works in AOSP ROMs, but the email and lockscreen font apps don't work in Samsung-based ROMs.
All the 4.2 Gapps features like camera, desk clock, lockscreen font, email, emoji keyboard, gmail, google now, keyboard, launcher, market, play music and also nexus 4 sounds, wallpapers and bootanimation are present and working. Since these files are all in one Aroma Installer, you can flash them all at once or pick and choose. The guy who posted it is Zoot1 and I think he did a good job. The OP of this thread did good too, but this might make things much simpler. Again, it's safe for SGH-T999 (T-Mobile GS3) and likely for all versions of GS3.

Maybe I'm an idiot but I didn't see much of a change at all. I'm running CM10. I installed and I already had the key board, market, and gmail installed. Now I don't see the sounds or the wallpapers. Maybe your own laziness is what's bothering you. Why didn't you flash from my original post that linked directly to the att one? Or did you not see it? Did you not put together that my original post had the att link but I edited it because of someone else's opinion. I mean the guy gave a thorough explanation of it, so it was safe to assume it worked. Maybe the op of the thread he linked changed the installer causing it not to work anymore. You should think before you start calling other people out. I was planning to test the aroma installer that the guy suggested, but I don't have all the time in the world. Anyways JusTun updated their installer to include 4.2 gapps now, and I already updated the op to include it. Now stop being an a$$

Yes it works just fine with Toro, been using it since someone posted a CM10.2 ROM for the gnex.

Working with fully stock maguro odexed, <<thumbs up>>
Thanks man, works great
possible to make a single .apk out of this?
So the problem is that I lost root after the 4.3 update and I'm waiting for the root to pop up on the forum. But in the mean time wouldn't it be better to just make a .apk so that we all can install it like a regular app. Kinda like an update apk of the mms. What I mean is that you know how Google maps are preinstalled in the system and when an update comes up on play store, it just disables the built in maps and uses the newer maps when we open maps. That new maps apk sits outside the ROM and can be removed or installed anytime without needing root and at the same time adds new features.
Is it possible to make a apk for MMS app this way?

Regular app (/data/app) requires its own signature and the way of the update as you say needs the congruence of the signatures.
Is there any way to change the LED color for notifications? I know it's not possible through the settings, but perhaps another way?

There are various apps you can use for that. I use Light Flow (also has a free version).
This is great! Nice work!
May I request an inverted CM10.2 zip as well?
Yeah it is, thanks nice one

+1! Using the bubble inverted now but would love an inverted stock CM10.2.
