Here is a Source Built kernel for the Cricket One V before relase HTC has actually released the source code before a phone has been released WOW.
I do not have a One V to test this on but it is directly from HTC and compiled on Ubuntu 12.04 so it should work just fine this is 100% stock
What does "Cricket" mean?

Guys,
Since I am a noob, I am not allowed to post in the developer forum. I have searched on this all over the XDA-Developer forum and Google/Bing and cannot find out what the different HTC kernel source code versions mean. When I open up the kernel source, it has the generic Linux READMEs in them.
This is what HTC has listed on htcdev.com:
HTC Desire Z – GB MR – 2.6.35 kernel source code 89.6 MB
HTC Desire Z – Froyo QMR – 2.6.32 kernel source code 82.8 MB
HTC Desire Z – Froyo – 2.6.32 kernel source code 82.8 MB
What is the MR and QMR. More importantly, I am trying to make my own ICS realease for this hand set and have plenty of Linux Kernel experience.
I just want to know which kernel to pursue as I have an underpowered system and the compile times are going to be horrendous for the ICS build. I don't want to spend the time building the kernel and trying to tweek it, and then trying to incorporate the ICS build with a bad kernel.
Thank you for your assistance.
*****Edit*****
GB means ginger bread, not Great Britain. I thought it was referring to the UK release. The other acronyms, I cannot figure out.
Good job posting this here. It belongs in this forum anyway, not in the developer section.

Am I the only one!?
No one!?
I just sent an email to HTC to ask them for clarification on the matter.

Hi,
My name is XX and I see that HTC has release the source code to multiple Linux/Android kernels for my device (HTC Vision/Desire Z). unfortunately it looks like HTC will not be bringing the newest flavor of Android to this handset with any carrier so I am looking to build Android 4.0.3 (ICS AOSP) to this device and would like to use one of the released kernel sources as a base part of the build. I am confused though on what the different versions stand for. I know that the 2.6.35 kernel IS the newest for my device.

This is their response.
Dear XX,
You were asking for some clarification concerning some information listed on the HTC Developer website for your HTC Desire Z. I would be more than happy to assist you with this software inquiry. You mention something about the MR or QMR listed with several of the kernel source code downloads. I know that the MR stands for maintenance release that is listed with the Gingerbread upgrade. The QMR might be for one of the updates for Android version 2.2 (Froyo).
If you want to use the most up to date kernel source code, I would base my recommendation on the current ROM and kernel versions you have on your Android device. If you have any other questions, you might check some of the additional resource information available on the HTC Developer website.
If you need any further assistance, you are welcome to send another inquiry through the HTC website by going through the Support page then tapping ‘send us an email’. You should input all the necessary information requested on the page.
Let me know if I have successfully answered your question, please click here to complete this.

CyanogenMod team has finally made the official CM10 NIGHTLIES for HTC One X live.
Are you enthusiastic to try out the smoothest rom on the beast?
Get it here : http://get.cm
Note: Since the builds aren't ready to be your daily drivers. Make a nandroid before trying.
Happy Flashing!!
Can't find our device.
I cant see the Endeavor listed either.....
It was the evita (AT&T One X) they just released nightly builds for wasn't it?
Me neither.....
Would say wrong forum?
He meant probably Evita, and not our HOX...
False call..

Hello guys,
maybe it's not news, but what is the source code on HTC Dev. I found there some file to download with this description:
Desire HD - AT&T - USA - MR - 2.6.35 - v4.0 - 88.3 MB - 3.20.502.52
(When I use filter with this option: DHD and Andrond v4)
Is possible to build on this source code some official AOSP/AOKP ROMs?
When?
Maybe it's not right place for this question (I don't know, where is the correct place), but I think, if this is so important message (for developers also), I could not resist.
(when is location of my question big trouble - please move it)
2Xeleth:
and why is on HTC Dev uder Android v4 (view attachments)
I contacted HTC tech. support in my country and it was me confirmed, this is ICS for DHD/Inspire 4G. It is only for AT&T on USA market, but I think: THIS IS GREAT MESSAGE FOR US? Is not it?

That base number (3.20.502.52) is the new gingerbread sense 3.0 Rom for the inspire. It's what I am running now actually. Its definitely not ics as neither the dhd nor the inspire will ever receive ics.

It's a typo. They wrote v4.0 instead of v2.3.

Sorry for me not understanding everything regarding kernels and roms but had some questions.
Why can't new ROMs be built with Android 4.3 for the HTC One for Verizon? I know a developer was saying that HTC needs to release the source code/kernel until it could be built.
- Side note: how are the other roms able to port Sense 5.5 into HTC One already (I Believe its from HTC One Max)? From what I understand Sense 5.5 is not out yet for regular users. Wouldn't you need the kernel/source for Sense 5.5 to port it or is it because there is already source for 4.2.2 (which the HTC One Max runs on) that is why they can port Sense 5.5, just move over the changed files....?
If that's the case how come there are Android 4.3.1 AOSP ROMS for the HTC One like Vanir, CM2, Mokee. Is it because they are built from AOSP? So because the AOSP source is open then that's why we can build those AOSP roms?
Yes. HTC sense is not open until they release the source...unlike aosp which can be modified for our device tree. If sense is being ported to our phone prior to 4.3 dropping...it is because it is not 4.3.

As some people may have been reading an article about compiling all ROM using linaro in XDA portal toolchain or even it's kernel . At this moment I don't have the proper equipments to compile any ROM since my pc is very old .
And also here on XDA we don't have any Rom for our beloved HOX being compiled by any of these tool chains
So I'm placing a simple request here so some guy or developer can try out compiling a SENSE ROM or an AOSP Rom using any of the available toolchains
Since toolchains have proven to enhance performance very well

Absolutely no for sense base (close source). AOSP yes...but need little more work. For kernel as far I know, lyapota & next use linaro 4.7. Enhanced..but not with wow factor.

OK , sad news for any hope for sense based ROM, So I hope someone will be able to get a pure AOSP ROM being optimized by one of these tool chains
