friends my default htc keyboard has changed to white color and is not vibrating anymore on tapping. i have checked the options under settings and the vibration is turned on. pls help me on this one... thanks
When the keyboard comes out during typing drang statusbar down..tap on select input method and select HTC sense input..

Is it possible to turn off the vibrate feature that occours during startup and other actions like typeing etc.?

Language & keyboard > touch input > text input > vibrate when typing will turn off vibrating when using the keyboard. Not too sure how or of you can turn off the vibration during startup.

Just received my HTC One X, but can't work out how to disable voice guidance in Google Navigation now there's no menu button at the bottom of the screen! Any ideas?

Just lower your Media volume, or game volume. Volume rocker should work fine
At the bottom of the screen there is a light blue screen tap that and a further menu comes up and disable voice in sat nav is there.

I just opened the Nav app again, and the setting option has disappeared! The 3 dots were there earlier but now they're gone. Can someone open Google Nav on their One X and see if it's the same? Confused!

You just click the 3 lines bottom right then click turn off voice.

Same problem here.
I just updated via OTA and now there is no menu in the map screen. the only way to get to the settings is to exit navigation and restart. The settings have no option for toggling the voice.
and I do not want to turn the volume down because I want to listen to music, not turn by turn directions
[edit: Typical! after a day and a half of complaining, then as soon as I post this and look back at my phone and the dots are back like magic...

you can find it on keyboard setting in
Settings -> Language and Input -> Android keyboard Setting -> Un tick the vibrate on key press option...
Common for all roms...
Settings -> Language & keyboard -> Touch Input -> Text input -> Vibrate when typing
As seen on my device.
In case of trying to find this option on Stock ROM.

check whether it is working on recovery..... If working the try reflashing the rom....
you nees to enable auto brightness for that... the keys wont light if u manually set the brightness

AFAIK the lights are "off ROM territory", they turn on when the room is dark and the screen brightness intensifies & vice versa
Ok, I look when I go out lunch, because I am working and the phone there is no with me.
So....the keys doesn't working...just I set manually brightness, but if I turn off screen and turn on it doesn't working again.

Hi, i use Jelly Bean 4.2.2 vijendrahs version 5.1 .
Sometimes when my phone is ringing, the display won't auto light up, if i press something it will go normaly and show who is calling...anyone have this problem ?
Can i add vibration action when i press on an app ?
I use TouchPal keyboard and this have some conflicts with Gmote app, can i somehow select to Gmote to use another keyboard instead of default one ?

I´m happy with my new M8 but somethings strange: I´ve enabled Vibration Feedback in Keyboard, but ts doesn´t vibrates. The Vibration itself works properly (for example when Phone Rings or Turn on/off)
But it doesn´t while writing (WhatsApp or Facebook or mails)
Its an German T-Mobile Branded Device, but i think this should not be the reason?
Honestly mate if you have it enabled in Sense keyboard options and rebooting doesn't help the only thing I can suggest is doing a factory reset. It should be enabled by default.

Download something like z-device test from play and test your vibrator.
Also have you tried disabling the haptic feedback from within the keyboard, type a few words then re-enable?
Also make sure you aren't on power saver mode.
