ha ha ha.. if u rename files format just the file name will be changed but the codec of media file won't change and our system won't be able to play them if those format don't supported by system.

Those sounds are in system/media/audio. If the one you want isn't in there find it in ogg or mp3 format. There are three files in there of use:alarms,ringers,notifications-stick the sound file you want to add in the appropriate folder and the phone will see them in settings so you can use them.

Hello guys!
Since an year ago I am using Walkman v7,5 and I am very pleased by the sound quality. The only bad thing is the low sound output which the arc has. When I am using large headphones or speakers connected, the need of higher output is big.
On my previous SE K800i by modifying the acoustics files I was able to increase the output of the sound.
My question is, is there any mod/or doing by myself for increasing headphones signal? Thanks in advance!
U may use acid audio engine worth evry bit

If you have root, you can use ALSA mixer to modify speaker output and other sound related parameters. ACID audio engine does not work with every ROM and may not increase speaker volume.
Please only press thanks if it genuinely helped you and not spam every Q&A thread with a "Click thanks if I helped". It's not right if the person pressed thanks for getting wrong information.

Thanks for the responses! I thought that there should be something like Xloud but for headphones. A friend of mine with old Samsung (armv6 platform) found a similar thing and now he has very high signal from the 3,5 jack.
...btw or its kernel related?
Thanks in advance

Just use this trick ,,
Change this in buildprop
From
persist.audio.hp=true
To
persist.audio.hp=false
If you cant fins the line just add it ,,
It removes the headphone audio protection
i was able to increase sound to 8/15 steps now i can increase to fully 15/15 steps also for internal speaker

Thanks for the program, but it doesn't work for me. I have no options to choose from. Maybe is because of the Walkman with the beats, dolby, etc, or maybe due to the non-original kernel(Lupus v10).
btw, i don't know but i still believe that is driver or kernel related with the signal to noise output.

Nothing different. I've added the line(there was no hear protection line), rebooted, but no difference.
The needed files to edit are in system/etc or system/etc/audio. I found that on the Samsung phones is very simple. There's a default_gain.conf file in system/etc containing the dB for any of the sound devices(speakers, headphones, headset, etc).

My mistake...as a lil exhausted....
thanks
Any news from august to now that can solve the problem? By solving it, i mean not with apps or etc, cause they are incompatitable with the Walkman. As far as i checked phone's drivers, the hardware is capable of 114.5dB(or something like this, it was several months ago), but unfortunately Sony has it's stupid rule to limit the output to ~85dB.
Six months ago i triend for a while one JB ROM with DSP, and the audio was good with great output... unfortunately i removed the ROM because of the camera issues and the JB was smoother but slower compared to my ics rom.
...ohh, and other question about niceness of processes. After rebooting the phone the first 40 hours of usage are normal. But around after that time the phone threats the media process kinda different and there are frequent cracks when listening to music, which is strongly unacceptable. I believe i'm using modded phone for better multimedia xperiance, not worse. I've been writting some unit.d codes, but i had little success with the conversations process, sometimes works, sometimes not. There were and other cases in which works for a while but the supercharger argues with the code.
