[Q] Swype issues on DHD

Hi gang,
is anyone having this issue or similar?
I have swype installed on my DHD which is running LeeDroid 2.0 and 2.05Kernel
Works great, except everytime I restart the phone it stops working, as in it will no longer swype words and i have to manually key them in? It's nothing an uninstall/reinstall doesnt fix but just a little annoying

Its a known bug but instead of reinstalling, just long press on a text box and change the input method to the original one and then back to swype

Had exactly the same problem, both on Stock and Leedroid. Changing the input method back and forth worked for me as well.

No such problem with cm7

I dont have this problem on stock rom and swype version 1.60. I use other language than english.

Im running the latest 2.0.6 kernel, but seems to still be happening, like I said not a big hassle if its just changing the input method, thanks for the help guys!

On Stock Rom 1.72.405.3 it works great.

I had the same problem when I was on stock sense rom.
But I haven't seen this issue after switching to CM7 nightlies. I do have to restart to install a new build every morning.

first of all i think its the best 4.0.4. sense rom i used but with the latest update i have a problem with wifi it stucks to start up and i cant connect any clue how to solve this? thanks in advance

It's just a excellent ROM I have used.

How do i get flash working?
I searched google and tried the forum search (which doesnt seem to work right on the tablet) but couldnt find it so i apologize in advance if this has been asked. If so, please point me in the right direction. Thanks :highfive:

Have you tried installing flash plugin from this http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions.html and enable the plugin in your browser?

I just remembered that I did post this question before and tried installing some files that someone posted but no luck.

The stock browser does not support flash on this device......:thumbdown:
I belive you have to get another browser that supports flash.

Check out "Next Browser for Android" Supports Flash.

Also... Puffin browser also have Flash support.

Google changed the webengine after 4.3 and flash doesnt work any longer. Have to use cloud based browser like Puffins for flash.

I use the last official flash player released by Adobe and FireFox browser. You have to go into settings and enable plugins.
The flash player is available at the Adobe archives website (I can't post links yet )
FireFox is available in the Play store.

After u install flash player, install dolphin or ninesky.. Found those browsers to work great.

I recommend boat browser, it has a new floating boat Web browser and for pure speed boat browser tablet is good. Both flash enabled once you down load and install the flash apk

Yeah I've been down this road before. I installed Flash Player 11.1 for Android 4.0 (11.1.115.81) and nothing happened. I just installed it again, and nothing happened again. I'm using both chrome and dolphin.

I couldn't get it to work in Dolphin either. But it works fine using Boat, both the regular and the tablet version. And I actually like the tablet version of Boat.

Sorry for any negativity, just kind of frustrating to spend almost a grand on this tablet and not have flash working. Thanks for your help

Just installed ninesky, puffin, next and boat. Now I have those plus chrome, dolphin and firefox. Any otherz im missing? lol
And yes I did get flash working in boat and firefox. Havent tried ninesky, puffin, or next yet.

Dolphin, I think is the latest version 10.2.4, and flash 11.1

Any ROOT for Gigaset QV1030 ?

I am searching desperately but I can't find a root for it anywhere. Tried Framaroot, Towelroot so far.
Any ideas? :/

there is someone at german android-hilfe forum trying to make a cm12 from recently released gigaset jb sources, but it's still far from functional rom...
also, there is one rom on the same forum, but (afaik) it's just like the original debloated rom...

to anyone who follows this thread - there is an almost fully working android 5.0.2 for this tablet on android-hilfe forum...

I just got my tablet and it's pretty much unusable out of the box. Super laggy and you cant even watch 1080p videos via Youtube. Is that just me or something that everyone experienced? I'm looking to return it as it is now, but I'm still curious if there is anything I can do about it!

i had no problem watching full HD videos in MX player...
i think there is some media driver pack mentioned in the forum that can be installed to inproove the hd videos (it works for mx player, don't know about youtube - but i don't have problems watching anything on youtube though)
did you try to root it?
there is also a BBR rom in the german android-forums which is almost like stock rom but cleaned and optimized a bit...
the biggest problem for this tablet is lack of the official support (they made it, and then forget it) and custom kernel that would sort things right...
my kudos to the german people from android-forums that gave a bit of life to this tablet with cm12...

hi, do you have random ghost touches on your device? (it happens for me from time to time - it happened also on cm12)
apart that - device is running smooth with 12.1, i wish there was a custom kernel as well...

I ended up sending the device back. Got hold of a used Nexus 10 for the same price, very happy with it so far!

Hi, I have tried installing CM 12 from CWM Recovery but I keep getting an error. I don't understand German so I just download the ROM and put in root folder. Then try to install zip from Recovery. Am I missing something? Thank you

This rom isn't stock rom. The rom was moded by you. So that, some apps can't go on your rom.

This is Stockrom with integrated Googleapps root and Busy box and not moded.
and all works!
Properly installed then everything works!
You do not have to install it!

I flashed this rom yesterday. Do you try install jewel hunter? It's simlpe game, but it doesn't work.

Chrome browser always stops without any reason after some minutes of working. I try opera browser, but this event happen again.

Same here,but,i do not know whether it is at Rom.
Another Games works

I think it's much better to leave the rom unrooted, without any trace of busybox and su. So many apps and games nowadays refuses to start or partially works if the rom is/was rooted. Then, if needed by user it's charge of the user himself to root or not, I think this way the rom become more flexible, more usable. Cheers and thanks for the rom!
