Ok so I went to go flash a new ROM called Liquid Smooth, doesnt work at all. Which is fine, figured I would just go back to Codename or FreeGS3 since i made a nandroid of both. Attempt to boot into recovery n the phone will not, so that sucks. So I then try to go through Odin and put the stock ROM tar file on my phone n just re-root the phone again from scratch. Put the stock ROM on the phone, Odin says it passed, it reboots and is stuck on the Samsung loading screen. Tried multiple times through Odin and the samething continues to happen. My phone is now a paperweight and useless. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

How long did you wait for the phone to boot at Samsung screen ? if not long just wait some more !!
I almost dont want to assist based on the title of your thread. your phone is not a paperweight. You need to wipe data so the rom will boot. Flash the custom recovery below in odin and boot into it after the odin flash. As soon as that screen goes dark immediatly press volume up+home+pwr. youll get in

Yea do this but before flashing the recovery in ODIN un-check the Auto Reboot option so you can pull the battery after the recovery passes. If the last thing you flashed was the stock Odin file you now should have stock recovery

I let it sit there for 35 minutes waiting for it to boot, still no go.
My custom binary count is at 10, idk if that has anything to do with it not being able to boot into recovery.

Have you tried redownloading the tar file? Could of been a bad download. I always use QBKing77 videos to figure out stuff. He puts all the links in the descriptions.

Yea Ive been using his videos all night n all day. Nothing.
[Longish story]
So, I rooted yesterday, all was good. Used the CF-auto root. After that I got titanium backup and clockwork mod. After that I download the app ROM Toolbox, scrolled over to fonts, clicked a font, pushed continue, device rebooted and it wouldn't fully turn on. It would load up all the way to the Samsung logo and flash blue with that long and have the blue led on. Got scared since it was my first time rooting and stuff and went on forums. Got to clockworkmod and had no progression. Someone told me that I need to download a rom onto my external sd card and plug it back in my device then click that. File didn't work and it said my sdcard can't mount. So I read that I can flash the stock rom from Odin onto my device through the download mode on android. I tried and still am as we speak but it just stays on "system.img". I don't know what to do, and is scared that I can no longer use my device. Is there anything I can do or am I ruined?
Thank you all!
You must do a factory reset in your stock recovery after you flash your stock fw threw odin

Well, I'm trying to flash a stock rom on my phone via Odin but like I said, it just stays on the "system.img" any ideas?
Download odin and flash stock att rom start over. Your phone would probably have booted rom toolbox reboots can take a long time.
I had issues with rom tool box too. Ill never use it again

But is it normal if it stays on system.img with a sign of progressing? I mean I have been patient for this to happen but it was going on for more than a hour without moving! Should I do it again and just wait all night? Also, now when I boot up my device, it tells me to do something with Kies, like a recovery. But my device won't even get recognized by my computer so the Kies thing Won't work. Also, I don't believe I can access CWM anymore. Does this matter?
Really hope somebody can help.
I have had a galaxy note 2 for about 6 months on Vodafone UK N7100.
Today while i was at work i felt something hot in my pocket, my phone was very hot (i was not doing anything with it) The phone was stuck on the Samsung boot screen.
After a few minutes of looking at this i realised it was stuck and removed the battery. SInce then i have been unable to get past the boot screen, i can't get into download mode or reboot mode. The only things to note. When i turn my phone on a red light flashes. When i plug my charger in the charge icon appears on screen but it does not charge.
Really hoping somebody can help.
I had rooted my phone if that helps (it did not cause this problem and has been functioning rooted for months)
Update
Just managed to get to a screen which warned me about installing custom software and did i want to continue. I said yes and it is now downloading something
How did you get to that screen?

does it get recognize in odin if yes try to flash stock rom and revive your phone hopefully u are not using the 4.1.1 rom better get a 4.1.2 and bring it to life :good:
if u can get to download mode now then flashed philz recovery first. After flashing recovery wipe dalvik, cache partition & then data reset.then u can flash stock using odin. try this if the first one doesnt work

this would be your last hope http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=32273406&postcount=5 follow the guide properly marked in red and remember to tick re partition in odin, if this doesnt work then your phone has been affected by sds due to 4.1.1 rom so u need to take it to service for motherboard replacement which is borne by samsung so no worries, and remember never to use a 4.1.1 rom in note 2 get the 4.1.2 rom or rather they will install that only this time and in future just go through dr.ketan thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1896696 here it will guide you perfect instead following some untidy guides

Thanks for the advice i am downloading the file now.
I did not manage to install the rom i suggested i was using so i don't think that could have been the issue. My phone just seemed to get hot then stop working, i hope as you suggested it is not my motherboard. Did you say that i should still be covered by the warrenty even though i had rooted my device?

well your reply is quite confusing
1.did you manage to flash the rom with pit in odin. was it successful or you get any errors
2.does your phone start now
3.if not then your phone has died and it needs to be taken to service guys ,but just check what the status of your phone in download mode is it official or custom . if its official then no worries just go ahead and take it to service guys and tell them abt your issue that the phone stopped working while in pocket dont info them that you rooted it ever just make them blv that it was a sds caused by 4.1.1 rom so they replace it free.
i mean your motherboard
Sorry if i am confusing matters.
I did not manage to flash anything it was just coming up with failed no PIT partition.
Current binary samsung official
My system status is custom
Are these ok to return my phone with?
I decided to take the advice offered and download the recovery but got confused.
Do i need all of the files from that link or just 1?
I downloaded the first one N7100XXDMB2_Factory
It contained
boot
cache
hidden
modem.bin
recovery
sboot.bin
system
tz
None of these are the md5 format
i am now thinking i should have downloaded XXDLJ2_OXA_Factory
Is that correct or was i right with the first file. If i was right downloading the first file then where do i get the md5 files required for odin to do my factory restore.
Know these are very noobish questions just doint want to do anything wrong
In answers to your questions....
1) Did i manage to flash the rom with it in odin
No
I got confused which files i should be using and did not want to do anything without being sure
2) My phone does not start
3) When i am in download mode my phone shows

If your phone doesn't have a partition map, then no, you can't.
You can try, as a last resort, using this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=43760271&postcount=22
I had a similar problem not too long ago (although it started with all apps crashing and then stuck at bootscreen) and managed to fix my phone.

EFS is a part of the system that stores your serial number, IMEI and everything related to your phone specifically. You are generally able to back it up using a custom recovery or using software on your PC while the phone is rooted and booted on the android OS. Since you cannot boot into recovery and also can't boot into android itself, I don't think you would be able to back it up.
If you ever installed a custom rom with AROMA, there is a chance you have it backed up already. But if you don't explicitly remember...

Hi, I had a similar problem a day ago, I corupted CWM and couldn't boot into android, When i started my phone a samsung logo appeared and then black screen, I could access download mode ( Power button, Volume - and home button ) So all you do after you enter download mode is download Odin multi downloader, and a flashable ClockworkMOD recovery, ( PM me if you want links ) and flash it into the phone, after that just reboot the phone and you will be just fine.
Press the Thanks button if i helped

Hey,
First put your phone into download mode and plug it in to your PC and make sure Odin recognizes it, then add Ancora.ops in the OPS window and the recovery.tar.md5 in the One package window. Also make sure that One package , Auto reboot and Protect OPS are checked, you should uncheck reset time because i've hear that it is causing some problems. Then just click the " Start " button and sit back, you phone will be back on in few minutes.
Just a question : Did you have any android installed when you corrupted the recovery? If yes, after you flashed the recovery the phone will reboot and will boot into android, if not then just flash the rom file if you already have one in your sdcard/internal storage.
Your phone is soft-bricked, don't worry, it will be back and running again
I just corrupted my recovery on my phone on purpose to try if the cwm recovery works. And yes, it worked, so it should work on your phone too.
Good luck flashing your recovery, Please answer back because I want to know if this method worked.
Here are the files, just extract the rar file
Finally i have KitKat!!
Finally Solved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
After long days and hundred tries, it works finally. The story is as below:
1- I failed to download the CWM 6.0.4.5 directly in this state using ODIN,
2- I downloaded the stock (Yes old 2.3.6 ginger bread ROM) using ODIN. However this version keep rebooting and never completed the start up.
3- With ROM installed now (even it's not booting), i tried to download older version of CWM using ODIN (CWM 5.0.4). It was successful!!
4- I tried to do the restore for my old system, but it failed as i did backup with newer version.
5- I flashed Monster ROM (4.2.2), it works wonderful.
6- I downloaded the CWM 6.0.4.5 finally using ODIN.
7- Now i'm using 4.4.2 on my mobile finally.
Advice: Never do a flashing to your mobile when you are not fully concentrating what you are doing. Also, make sure to download the right tool and ROM for your device.
Thank you for everyone who tried to help me.

Use Odin 3.07. Run it as Admin if using Windows. Download the NB4 Firmware to your desktop. Inside the .zip will be a "M919UVUFNB4 HOME.tar.md5" file. Extract it to your desktop.
Remove the battery from the phone for about a minute. Put the battery back into your phone and hold down the Vol DOWN + Home + Power buttons until you get to the Download mode. Press Vol UP to enter it. Connect your phone to your computer via USB and wait for Odin to show it in the COM: section. UNcheck Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time. Click on the PDA tab and load up the "M919UVUFNB4 HOME.tar.md5" file on your desktop and wait for it to verify md5 (it will freeze for a little bit). Then click Start and see what happens. If it succeeds and says PASS, unplug the phone and hold down the power button until the device turns off and reboots itself. It will be 100% stock once you let it do it's thing and prepare the files.

The kernel not seandroid enforcing message is 100% normal after rooting your phone. That shouldn't have caused you any problems. Try restoring your phone back to stock firmware from above and see if that works. Then proceed to rooting the device again.

Make sure you restore to stock firmware and let the phone boot up at least once before you proceed to root it. Do NOT root it directly after flashing the stock firmware in Odin. If your phone hangs after the seandroid message, pull out the battery and put it back in, and hold Vol UP + Home + Power to boot into the stock recovery and select wipe data/factory reset and then reboot device.

Sweet! You can use CF Auto Root from here
http://download.chainfire.eu/328/CF-Root/CF-Auto-Root/CF-Auto-Root-jfltetmo-jfltetmo-sghm919.zip
Just load it into the PDA slot and let it do it's magic. Make sure to do the same exact thing and UNcheck auto reboot and f. reset time and manually reboot the phone by holding the power button down.
Glad you got it working.

Bro ask all the questions you want. This is a community to help other people. The first thing you should do is install a custom recovery such as TWRP or PhilZ Touch Recovery. I prefer TWRP since it gives less installation errors for some ROMs. Once you install TWRP make a nandroid of the stock firmware and wipe everything. System/Data/Cache/Dalvik-Cache etc. and then install Wicked.
