[Q] books disapear once dowload to kindle fire - Kindle Fire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
My Kindle Fire is rooted.
I have 2 issues:

2. I cannot see book neither in Amazon cloud, neither in books and docs shelves.
I unistalled the Kindle for Android App., deregister Kindle Fire from Amazon. But when I registered it again. The device is recognize that is mine, but it cannot get/retrieve its' address mail from Amazon.
Please, anyone can help me.

I could see them before they were in .mobi format
Click on an app called "Kindle" and your books should be there (after signing in with your Amazon account.
Additionally, if you sign into Amazon.com after you've done the above, you should see that you have now registered an android device for reading, which is also your kindle.
If you delete the app from your kindle your books should return to their "normal" place on your bookshelf.
I also deleted my android device from my kindle account.
Just curious if anyone knows if this is because I have rooted my kindle?

I get that. This happened to me yesterday. I turned on my Kindle and had a message that there was something called Kindle that had been installed. I thought it was another update, but when I went to device, the update was still 6.3.1, which I had already because I had to rerun KFU to root. My personal documents that I had put on the Kindle, a book I purchased from Amazon AND the items included with the Kindle (dictionary) were no longer on my shelf.
They were in my Kindle though, but I didn't know how to get them back on my shelf. I then noticed a new app called "Kindle" which I clicked to open and discovered it was similar to the app you download to read kindle books on your computer. After entering my email address and password for Amazon, the app opened and all of my books were listed there. When I went to Amazon.com, afterward, I noticed there was a new device registered to me called Kindle Android. Now I have two devices registered to me on Amazon. The Kindle Fire and the Kindle Android. I am assuming because I had rooted my device, the Kindle was being recognized somehow by Amazon to be an Android device.
I deregistered my Android Device (NOT the Kindle Fire.) and went back to the Fire and deleted the new Kindle app. After a message telling me I could delete the app and go back to the old way of reading on my Kindle, I said uninstall app and now my books are back on my shelf in their original place, although my reading percentage on them has been set back to 0%.
I am guessing that somehow Amazon has figured out a way to 'know' that I have rooted my device.
I am sorry if this is not the answer to your question. If it doesn't help you, perhaps you can give a few more details of your situation so that someone more knowledgeable can assist you.
Do you have the Google Play Store installed? If so make sure you didn't install the kindle app from there.
If you did, you can remove it by going to My Apps in the play store selecting the Kindle app and choosing to uninstall updates.
The books you have downloaded should be under /sdcard/Android/data/com.amazon.kindle/files. Stock devices may use a different folder but it should still be com.amazon.whatever.
There will be two different file extensions for each filename, .mbp & .prc. I'm not sure what the .mbp is, but its not important. What is important are the .prc files. They will be named something like "B003XDUCIG_EBOK.prc"
Take all of the files and place them in a new folder, then one at a time place them in your "kindle" (Kindle app) or "Books" (stock reader) folder. Open the reader to see which books show up and go back and rename them accordingly.
If you leave your books in the com.amazon.kindle folder, they will be deleted every time you switch accounts or uninstall the Kindle app.
Yay, Amazon!
you guys are awesome it was the kindle thing through go play thank you my wife also thanks you guys.

This may seem like a stupid question but where did my books go?

Okay so i finally got my kindle rooted and flashed to AleinDroid and I love it!!!
Then, when i went to find my book to do my homework (the whole reason i got my fire in the first place) I have no freaking idea where my books I had downloaded for school went!!!
Can someone help me out? Do i have to re download them from Amazon?
Have you downloaded the kindle app? If not, download it, register with the same email that you first registered your kindle with, then check your archived books. You can download all the books you downloaded from Amazon from your kindle app archive.

Missing Books.
If you purchased your books from Amazon, and you still have the Kindle app. you will have to log into amazon again to reregister. Once you have done that your books will appear. You may have to go to Library in Kindle and press the download arrow in the lower right of each book to download them again. If you purchased books elsewhere and read them on Kindle, then look in your directory for books or Kindle or even download, they are probably there

Can't register my kindle fire again

I'm rooted using go launcher and Google play. Every now and then, Google Play likes to update my kindle app, which screws up the registration of my local drm Amazon purchased books. Sooooo i have to uninstall the updates to my kindle app, uncheck (again) update automatically, deregister my kindle fire, re register, and i can then access my books as well as my documents that I'd emailed myself. Well it happened again, i went through the annoying process again but this time...
I enter my credentials and hit Register and nothing happens.
I also tried going through Kindle Setup, same thing. I do run Droidwall to block adcp from from getting ota updates, so i tried completely disabling Droidwall and no change. I also had been on 6.3 so i tried putting the pre rooted 6.3.1 on, tried again, same thing.
I suppose i could keep going un registered, the kindle app can download my purchased books and i was able to enter my login credentials for the Amazon app store. I think i just lose the ability to email documents to [email protected] which i gaffer no need for anyway. Not sure if there are any other disadvantages to ruining un registered.
Tl;dr - when i try to register my kindle fire nothing happens when i hit the Register button

Yes to many kindles registered login to your amazon account and deregister and delete all the registered devices on your account, then deregister from your kindle and reregister. Last time I did this I had over 30 devices registered when I only have 3 devices in reality then I could access all my books and documents. This is from flashing many different ROMs and continually reregestering. I had to laugh a bit when I looked at it and it took twice of going through to get it all about 3 months apart from each other. I had received a notice the second time about having to many devices on the account but the first time I did not.

[Q] Kindle Fire HD 8.9" and cricfree tv...help

When I bought my kindle fire hd 8.9" I installed the dolphin browser and also the flash player for ICS and all was well. I used to watch live sports via cricfree with no problems at all. I used to wait for the advert to count down and then close down any others without a hitch. Now when I try and access the webpage it gives me the normal home screen but if I select a channel it does not fully upload and 'freezes' causing me to have to re-boot the kindle. Something has definitely changed as all my other kindle owning friends have the same problem. Has anyone managed to overcome this and if so how ??
Any advice would be most gratefully received

Preventing Fire TV From Linking To Amazon

Hey,
What's a way to prevent the Fire TV from being linked to any Amazon accounts?
Also what would it do if you had no Amazon account linked to the box? Can you still download non-amazon apps?
If you had no Amazon account linked to the box, you would have no home screen.
There's no way to use the Fire TV or Fire TV Stick without first logging in with an Amazon account.
