Loving the expandable notifications in JB on my VZW GNex (JRO03O), and wondering which apps allow this feature. So far I know of:
- SMS (expand to read)
- Gmail/Email (expand to read, view senders and subject if more than 1 message)
- Screenshots (expands to show approx. 1/3 of image and provides option to share from the notification)
- Calendar reminders (snooze from notification, send invites)
What else is out there?

I have read that evernotes latest update include this feature but I haven't checked as I don't use evernote.

Could someone please give an idea of what the email client on the GN can do? I'm on the SGS2 at the moment and, while not perfect, the built in email client allows to search the server and control the sync via schedules.
Is the Email on the Galaxy Nexus just like the AOSP 2.3 version, are there any enhancements, does it have issues with wake locks?
TIA
I use it to connect to my exchange server at work. It seems the same as the 2.3 app except it has a white instead of black theme. I haven't noticed any other differences. And yes you can set the check frequency to your liking.

Thanks. Can it search emails that have NOT been synced to your device? And can you tell it to push Mo - Fr 07:00 - 23:00 and do manual pull the rest of the time?
TIA
Nope.
If I needed those features, i would use Touchdown.

Yes, I have bought touchdown but sadly it supports push on ONE account only which is unacceptable to me. I need to receive push emails from several businesses and would prefer not to forward them into a single mailbox....
on my old galaxy s with ICS teamhacksung rom i always got a sms notification with contact picture on the left site of notification, now im on galaxy nexus and want to know if there is any rom or modified app with supports this notification too?

Can we make a list of apps that support Jellybean notifications, would be nice to be using apps that support it.
so far itll be all the core google apps, tunein radio, and pulse i think.
Pulse doesn't, so far all I've seen are the core apps, Tunein, and Notification Toggles. Anyone see any other apps with it?
Can you post screen shots of notifications?
I do not get gmail, extended notification nor call back/SMS for missed calls
Twoons supports Jelly Bean notifications. It's a twitter client
Imgur For Android supports it too.

How does it work on yours? It doesn't work on mine.
I think the stock SMS and Gmail apps could be doing a much better job of utilizing the new notification style. All they do is show expanded views of messages. I'd like the SMS app to give me quick access to calling the sender or deleting the message right from the notification, and Gmail should let me delete or archive messages without going into the app. The missed call notifications (where you can choose to call the person or send a message right from the notification) are how it should be done for all apps where it makes sense, and I don't know why they didn't do the same for SMS and Gmail. Maybe they will eventually.

Well, There's a working Group MMS option in the stock messenger. Oh my GOD is this great! :good:
Anyone else find anything worth reporting?
Miracast is obviously not included on the GNex ROM as I doubt it has the hardware to support it.
I'm not sure if it was there before but I noticed that you can disable system apps now. Just go to Settings -> Apps -> All and select an app from there. If its a system app, the "Uninstall" option becomes "Disable". In my case I'm not using Currents and Google Talk so I had them disabled. Now they are hidden and don't show up in the App Drawer.
*EDIT: NVM. Apparently "its been there since forever" as the guy below replied to me.
*EDIT2: Ok. I've read that the feature to "disable" system apps was slightly improved in 4.2. Before, you need to uninstall updates first before you can disable a system app. Now you can disable system apps directly without the need of uninstalling the updates first. That was the reason I thought disabling system apps is new in 4.2. When I was in 4.1.x I just see the "Uninstall Updates" button.

It's in Settings > Display and the options are Clock, Colours, Currents, Photo Frame, Photo Table (this is very nice and interactive).
You also have the following options for when to daydream; while docked, while charging and either.

I was just going to post about this. Lol.
I think there are minor aesthetic changes, as well. When you are in messaging, compose a message and are choosing a recipient from your contacts there is now shading underneath the box with the recipient. I don't think this was in 4.1.2 or lower. The font also seems a little bolder in the messaging threads, most notably for me with the font being set to small.
Does the group messaging work with other platforms (iPhone, Blackberry, WP7/8)? In other words, did they finally decide to bake in threaded MMSes into 4.2?

Best and unexpected thing I found (and the ONLY reason I stay on 4.2 now)
- Active call (phone) now works in LANDSCAPE mode - so you no longer look like an idiot when you have a carmount and need to tilt your head 90 degrees!!!!!!!!!!

I use google voice for texts a lot and stumbled upon an app that integrated google voice into the stock messaging application of the phone. This is not a standalone messaging application like "Google Voice + Messaging" app, but instead can set the stock app to use gvoice. For those who want to check it out here:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...tZHJ0b29scy5hcHBzLmd2aW50ZWdyYXRpb24uZnJlZSJd
It works perfectly except one thing: For some reason I am not getting notification bar notification from the messaging application for new texts received. The texts themselves come in and can be viewed if you open the messaging application but it doesn't send the status bar notification. Can anyone try and confirm this or is it just me because I don't see it mentioned in reviews. As an alternative I just have the default gv app notify me and I use messaging app for actually sending.
The reason why you don't receive your notifications anymore is because of the Google Voice App update. Every time the GV app updates the integration app must be updated also. The developer just stopped. It sucks because it was an amazing application.
There's another one on the market that does the same thing also but it's a separate messaging app themed like the stock one.
Sent from my Google Nexus 4 (AT&T)
Actually, the app works fine in Android 4.0 and 4.1. I have used this app a long time, and it quit displaying notifications with the 4.2 update. So I grabbed the mms.apk from 4.1 and it works fine again. Every time I update my ROM now, I replace mms.apk with the one from CM10 I keep in /sdcard and it works great.

Guys I found this and can confirm that it works:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=31106386&postcount=1
The only two things I miss are
1) The "read" button that the notification has with the new mms.apk (this one only has quick reply and call)
2) bubbles/quick emoticons since I previously used the mms.apk from here:
