If your ROM allows it there should be an option in the navigation bar settings. I believe AOKP and a couple CM10 variants allow it.

You can do it without a ROM.
And a simple Google search will give u instructions.

Looks much more involved than just switching to a ROM that supports it. Just saying.

It's actually kinda simple.

The link I provided has really easy and simple instructions. It's not hard.

Usually descriptions can put one off as it looks like there's much to do but when you have done the stuff one time you basically can do it pretty quickly when you know what to do.

To be fair, I didn't read it all just saw a great deal of computer instructions and stopped.

I read the steps and still stand by my assertion.
I don't think that it was too hard or that the steps are not laid out in clear and concise fashion. I just think that it was a great deal harder than picking from a drop down menu in Settings.

I do appreciate people, like yourself, who take time to write step by step instructions. These kind of walk-throughs are great resources and are as valuable to the Android community as the ROMS we are flashing.
I would still be using stock Web-OS on my Touchpad and waiting on Verizon for updates if not for people like you. :good:

Saw this in Galaxy Nexus forums, can anyone port?

I saw this today in the Galaxy Nexus forums and thought this was pretty slick looking. I tried to flash the AOKP version for the Galaxy Nexus but you can probably guess it didn't work too well haha, was wondering if anyone could port this for hydrogen rom/CM9?

It's use modified SystemUI.apk and framework-res.apk... so it's rather difficult to make universal version, it's so much ROM and theme dependence....
but it's worth a try....
I'll try to port this over the weekend!
Pretty simple if we just stick to the rootzwiki and the porting guide tutorial!
There are apps out there that do that and they all take up your notification bar except for two, TASKXP and MultiTasking, I use TASKXP on all my devices and love it
Please don't port it, we don't need WP7 look-alike crap on our phones. Multitasking looks better as it is.

Thought on jb and screenies!

Jelly bean is definitely souped up transitions are very nice and fluid and I've noticed performance boost in opening apps. WiFi is a little jacked . Anyways here's some screenies also if u go to settings then about phone then tap android version continuously you get a little treat u can fling them too!

Is there a noticeable performance increase over 4.0?
Please keep all jellybean in one thread thanks.

That's a lot to ask for this forum, considering all of the avenues JB can take us down... customization, how to get it, etc....
Regardless, I'm just super happy that the GSM, Toro, and Toro+ versions ALL HAVE a chance to get Jelly Bean within 12 hours of it's release!

[GUIDE] The thanks buttons use and what happends if you don't use it!

Hello all xda:ers!
Surely have all of you have gotten a thanks, but have you given one?
The thanks button is more than a button its a help and a way to show your gratitude and support.
So what do you do with it?
If somebody has helped you and solved your problem, press the thanks button.
If somebody has posted some material you like or download press the thanks button.
If somebody has wrote a comment or thread you agreed on, press the thanks button.
And so on...
Let's give you a example of what happens if you don't press the thanks button:
A guy who is new in development have decided to do an app for himself to use because he feels like it's missing something on his phone. He makes the app, and feels that oh yeah this is a really good app, I should give it to the community so they also can use it!
He makes a thread here on XDA about the app and so on and adds the Apk to the thread in an attachment...
Really many here at xda thinks oh what a great app, I couldn't live without it any more!
So after a few days he sees that the thread has had 10k views so he checks out the thread to se what people have said and so on. He looks at his post and sees that he only have gotten 10 thanks!
So he thinks then, well people didn't like my app why should I continue to develop on it? He takes the thread and closes it and takes away the attachments, he makes a code that sends a message to all the downloaded apps that the app testing is now finished and closed so you can't use it anymore and there is no further development since nobody likes this app...
So all of those who downloaded the app can now not use the application that were so great and the guy who made it is gone out of the community!
SO IF YOU LIKE SOMETHING PRESS THAT THANKS SO THE DEVELOPERS CAN UNDERSTAND THAT THEIR WORK IS APPRECIATED AND CONTINUES ON THEIR WORK! AND SO THE USERS WHO HELP YOU HERE ON XDA FEELS THAT ITS GOOD TO HELP PEOPLE INSTEAD OF JUST THROWING SH*T IN THE THREADS!
Thanks that's all I wanted to say!

Why are people always begging for thanks?
Because they can and they think it really matters for something besides the size of their e-..... when all it really is a potentially wildly inaccurate measure of someone's ability to answer a question correctly.

Hahahaha, true. Same thing with post counts. The thing I do love seeing is idiots with bullsh_t spam in their signatures pleading for other users: "if I helped you press thanks OMG OMG OMFGZZZ! thanks thanks thanks" and they contribute absolutely nothing to this forum.
Edit, OP I notice you changed your signature... kudos to you.

Netflix not working after Beanstalk 4.2.2.

Is it normal that my netflix is not working after Beanstalk 4.2.2.?
Anyone know of any fix?
Thanks in advance!!
Yes it is a know issue. It happens on all aosp Roms. I think you have to revert to an older version or there may be an exposed module that makes it work. If you search around you should find it.

The higher the thank count, the better his "rep" will be. I can't see his thank count now, but when you have a thank count under 10 you can't edit certain parts of your xda account. Hope this makes sense.

Any help ?
