Data info...Any1 in... - T-Mobile, Samsung Galaxy SIII

You cant go wrong with t mobile. You get the same and more for less. No brainer.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda premium

Cheaper definitely my bill is 78$ at month for one line, 500 minutes, unlimited text and unlimited data on the 5th (right now is 5gb and then cap data), Verizon does have better coverage for sure but if you area has good tmobile coverage your set
Check here, it looks like Denver is cover

Thanks for the info. I'm sure ill be paying cheaper than sprint (102$/m). I've seen the coverage map but was looking for more of a personal experiance from someone here in denver or aurora since I've heard tmobile is hit or miss depending where ur at.

what keeps you with sprint

hey everyone..what keeps you with sprint!? the unlimited data and any mobile is great, but the data speeds and lack of 4g or LTE are kind of annoying...so what keeps y'all with sprint?! I Love the aformentioned perks, but I think verizon 4g lte in my area may tempt me to switch
Well I created a new plan with sprint [was on parents' plan] and I could have went anywhere. I went with sprint cuz of the data prices, and the overall price wasn't bad. Not gona go to at&t and verizon and get raped with data. Also LTE coming to my area is supposed to be heavy, so we will see.
Its cheaper then the other carriers. I get full signal on sprint everywhere I go in my area. It actually has unlimited data
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA
Well im almost done with sprint persknally. I have bad service at home and at work. My home wifi network makes it somewhat bearable.
Whats keeping me on sprint right now is the future unlimited LTE.

Yeah...I hear all the replies!! Unlimited is key for me too...especially the any mobile as I use my phone for work. But the speed and lack of network development bug the hell out of me

The unlimited plan.....hands down!! My wife and I both, have never even been able to use 4G after 3 yrs with Sprint!!
Sent from my AOKP'd off EvO
Ive never seen 4g on my evo 4g either since launch day!! Sad would be cool to use 4g on the "so called EVO 4G" should just be called the EVO...
Well, my parents pay for that. So I don't exactly worry, I only get to see 4G maybe once every 6 months, but my areas getting LTE.
Sent from my PC36100 using xda premium
There plan prices are much better than the others, but it is the unlimited data and minutes that are a plus for me.
There prices, when it comes to customer service they are the best. This only carrier I stayed longer then any other carrier.

Living in KC I get GREAT service and Unlimited. NOTHING and I mean NOTHING is worth losing that. If All Carriers did what AT&T and Verizon do then I would just not own Cellphones or any other device anymore.
I saved over $90 /month coming to sprint from Verizon and data / phone coverage is great in Philadelphia. I never drop calls

Thanks guys! Great discussion. I will likely stick with sprint for all reasons mentioned...they are all my pros ...just wish I could get some 4g hahah.

15 years of loyalty to a company Carries a lot of weight when you know how to get the right person on the phone. for me no other provider can offer services products or discounts that can compare to a company rewarding your loyalty. Almost left a few years Ago when if seemed I could never talk to an American ( no offense intended ). Sprint has really done a 135° turn since then. Not quite there yet but doing better.
Pocket posted sorry....

Any specific reason why you want to be stuck on Sprint with those 3G speeds? Unless you live in Texas (only 4G LTE out) I don't know why you'd want to go with Sprint over GSM + Prepaid plan.

Same argument applies to Verizon. But at least they have good service.
You couldn't pay me to go back to Sprint.
I'm not going for that horrible CDMA speeds even if they pay me...bad deal for someone to be stuck on sprint for 2 years waiting for LTE to come. GSM is the way to go or Verizon if network coverage and LTE is important.
I already have a pre2 gsm lol
Plus im still hoping sprint nv will improve everything.......

Sprint won't be getting better anytime soon. Don't buy a phone for what you think it'll be. Buy a phone for what it is now...
I don't know how you're using 18GB a month, Sprint's speeds are atrociously slow.
Its on 3g and I get about 250KB/s so I have been netflixing/hulu/HBO go/xfinity play/crackle alot here
Honestly enough for me on a phone no need for 2MB/s so there lte here will be only a bonus. Other areas I agree too so slow hopefully lte there will help. Plus unlimited is unlimited no matter what.
Either the tower has been upgraded recently or hardly any sprint users here the latter is impossible since I know so many have sprint here.
Plus been downloading roms like mad

Just a heads up. I saw this comes with ics and only a 1500mah correct me if I am wrong but I believe our sprint version comes with 1800mah plus with all the battery issue's a lot of people running ics are having this phone might get horrible battery life. Just food for thought

At first probably nothing. Eventually who knows. Plan rate drops? Doubtful but always possible. Honestly the value plan with unlimited data is the sickest postpaid plan out there. In my opinion it destroys any thing Verizon att and sprint can offer. I just dropped Verizon for Tmobile and I couldn't be happier.

Lower plan prices???? I just signed up for my first plan and Verizon would have cost me $75 more a month. That's including me paying for my phones each month. I'd like to see more 4g coverage and that means huge investments by tmo. Lower prices won't get us there.

Yeah, I left Sprint (w/15% discount) for TMO and saved $40 per month (w/15% discount). Verizon would have been $45 (w/25% off data) more and ATT (no discounts) would have been $80 more per month.

I doubt anything will really change.
You have to remember, its not good customer service to alter or increase the price of plans, etc or anything just because you hire in a new person, even if said person is the CEO.
I mean, imagine how many people will jump ship, how many dollars is that lost? Millions.
actually a lot has changed.
In case you didn't notice, this thread was started last September.
Plans, pricing, contracts, HSPA+42, LTE, etc, etc, all have been influenced and changed by the new leadership in the company.

Literally LMAO!
Thanks for that, I needed a great laugh after fighting with T-Mobile all morning! :good:

Wow

I bought a gn2 unlocked off craigslist for $450.00 cash.
Purchased a solavei wireless sim card.
60 bucks a month no throttle after any amount of data used.
Great coverage averaged 14 mbps down. Hmm with speeds like these hard to see how sprint stays with these guys.
For the first time in years I have been thinking of bouncing. From sprint to another Carrier . The blazing data speeds have me mezmerized. Solavei rides on tmobiles network. But at that price it may be worth a switch.
Bought the 2nd gn2 for a work phone. Gonna wait and see if sprint builds out the lte network in my area. But it's sad when I go back to my sprint gn2 and speeds won't pay 512 kbps on average.

HSUPA+ compared to EVDO lol. If HDUPA+ on tmobile was always 14-15mbs download then they would have no need to roll out LTE. Thing is HSUPA+ cant maintain that speed.

HSPA+ ? Trust me even still in the dfw areas it's good averages 6 to 15Mbps. They don't need to roll out lte but normal consumers don't understand differences between 4g technology. And t mobile is truly using 3g but when pushed to its ultimate limits it hits 4g like speeds. But they don't people that obviously.but that's why gsm is so much better than cdma and other stuff too lol

Is Tmobile still "unlimited" - 5-10GBs then throttled to hell or is it like Sprint's unlimited?
I have tmobile and one of their major slogans sort of is "the only truly unlimited data plan". Ive used like 30 gigs of data the month I have owned my note 2 and have never been throttled. Usually get around 27mb 19 down. I notice no change in speed.

No they have a plan that's 5 and 10Gb with hotspot that's throttled but if you get the unlimited 4g plan it's cheaper and better setting how we can all get hotspot for free.

If Sprint were to release EvDo RevB or even RevC, it'd pull speeds of up to 30mbps, too. Problem is, lte becoming the new standard, it'll evolve the fastest and its cost efficient for Sprint in the long run (also cost efficient for any carrier.) This is why everyone's going to lte.

GSM certainly has its advantages, that's why I was with T-mobile previously. The HSPA is getting pretty fast at it's peak, but there are so many times when you don't get those numbers if you are in a heavily used area.
Having said that, I switched to Sprint because they are implementing the next wave of GSM (READ: LTE-A) before T-mobile will be finished with their GSM network (Read: HSPA+42)
